Takes around 24 min 30 sec to complete without interracting.
You can fail by running to far away, but dont worry as long as you see him
Your suit will not protect you from the boss at the tower, so keep your distance if you want to survive.
If you die in the end, do not release. You will complete the quest while being dead. Just run back again when you have completed it.

From a HC perspective and summarize what has been said:
This quest is fine all the way until he exits the gate.
Then an elite patrol MIGHT aggro him. If they do, he will probably need your help. I've read sometimes he might LoH and at times he might even manage if they are attacked in the right order. It is kind of luck. But you should help here, and it is safe IF you attack the targets he has aggro on, and do not do any AoE. The Crimson Elites hit like a truck, they will two shot clothies.

At the last part at the tower, stay away. I stayed behind the stump. It is a good marked spot! And WAIT! it takes time for Tirion to show up. From there the quest is done!
IN HC, be ready to RUN incase things go wrong. Have a escape plan. Bring swiftness potions / stay on your mount. If you are too close in that last part at the tower, you suddenly get 4 elites on you, and you might just die there and its over. Stay away! its better to fail the quest and redo than to die! It's that type of quest, where margins decide if you live or die, espcially if you have not done the quest and don't know what you are going into. Stay safe

Maintain your disguise and don't try to help whatsoever. Your job is to watch. It's that easy. I mined a node of thorium and it broke the disguise so be forewarned. I watched from a distance because I knew that if I aggroed anything I was toast. Daddy came out and threw out a spell on Jr then the yellow ? popped and I grabbed my loot despite having broke my disguise. So my advise is don't break the disguise and just watch the show.
