The Stalkers are found in the area near the Troll camps. They are usually stealthed. The Howlers are further west. You shouldn't have a problem finding any of these mobs, as they are all over the place.

I found alot of howlers north of the Altar of Zul, and stalkers east and southeast of skull rock. There are no co-ords that can be posted, though, because they are very spread out.

Personally, this is the most annoying quest I've ever done.
I had no problem finding the Stalkers with Track Stealth (playing my hunter). But the Howlers were near impossible to find. I actually haven't even finished the quest yet, I'm writing this out of frustration as I currently have 7/15 Howlers and I've been trying to find them for an hour. I've covered the entire middle section of Hinterlands about 20 times, I've gone to the sides along the mountains to find them, everywhere. I cannot find a good spawn of Howlers for the life of me. There is no one else in Hinterlands so it's not like they're all getting killed, but maybe there's a game time spawn? It's currently 8:25AM game time, maybe they don't come out 'til later?

I've spent about 2 hours trying to find them, this is so annoying.

Stalkers can be found just at 72,60 and going north up to Shaol Watha (73,53). They stand close, so take care of aggro...

Silvermane Stalker slain (10) - Level 47-48 mob found at 70,56. Close to town, their stealthed
Silvermane Howler slain (10) - Level 45-46 mob found at 51-49 about found more in the middle of the map. Savage Owlbeasts are found there too for Stalking the Stalkers

If you happend to find a skylord, kill it for Avenging the Fallen

If u made it to Revantusk Village, u know where the Stalkers are, everywhere in the east of the area. I found the best concentration of Howlers around Valorwind Lake among a bunch of primative owlbeasts.

The Howlers are easy to spot...They're the one's not stealthed :)

They are also more toward the center of the region in the Hinterlands.

Also some to the south. I haven't found a good concentration, there's just a few groups of 2-3 in various places.

Stalkers are N and NW of Shaol'watha (Shaol can be found at (72,53) . . . Found an area of Howlers around (43,55). . . if you didn't already know, they howl for help, and annoingly enough it usually comes.

The only risk dying when doing this quest as a 47 warrior was from dying from boredom having to kill 30 of those wolves...

I was able to get all 15 howlers on the southeast side of Valorwind Lake (42,63). Just run around in that general vicinity and you'll be able to get them all.

I found the howlers just north of the road leading west from agol' watha, walking towards the lodge, did all 15 in one go.

Just a heads up at (65,52) They stealth in packs of 2 all around the base of the hill.

Levle 45 rogue, found this quest easy (tip use Ambush on the stalkers if your around my level). Found the stalkers at around 64,58 and howlers at about 43,50

I dont know how to use coords and I dont know where Shoal'watha is so if some could please reply or send in a picture that shows the stalkers not the howlers.

The quest requires 10 kills of each wolf. That's what I had to do, unless I'm in the wrong quest.

The stalkers can't be missed. That's that.

The howlers, however, are not in the same area. Ironically, I found the howlers' direction with another quest in the same area. Anyway, the lake near the Altar of Zul has plenty of them.

Someone commented about the ratio of howlers to wolves being low...he was in the wrong place! If you see regular wolves all around then go east and a bit south. There are nothing but howlers south of the road in the area near the coordinates posted above. You can do this in minutes.

very easy lots of howlers at 39,47 near the lake, and found stalkers at 57,51 even if you cant see them look around coz you cant see then unless your close.

Silvermane Howlers: I found most of these north of Valorwind Lake (~44, 56).

Silvermane Stalkers: These are closer to the east coast. Because they're stealthed, be careful of running into too many of them, as well as the other visible mobs nearby.

Stalking the Stalkers

Huntsman Markhor at Revantusk Village in the Hinterlands wants you to kill 10 Silvermane Stalkers and 10 Silvermane Howlers. Return to him once the task is complete.

Markhor mentioned that the wolves hide in the wilds of the Hinterlands.
