Fun and interesting quest to deal with. Ran this with a warrior. After clearing most of the bottom area we went up and began clearing around the statues.

Be careful of mobs that travel a path. We learned that the hard way when a slime came around the corner unexpectedly. And there is an order to the statues that must be followed.

Before activating the last statue, be sure nothing has re-spawned down below on the steps or in the water. If clear, activate the last statue click into cat form and jump down (softer landing) and try to not get punted by the mob that spawned. The punt won't kill you... the fall from being punted will.

The good thing about this quest is that it's near the beginning of the instance and as long as everyone knows what they are doing things will roll along smoothly.

From my experience, this part of Sunken Temple is easy, compared to the part for the Warlock feather quest. I was able to clear this part with 2 people, including me and a warlock (LvL 60 me and mid 50's Warlock).

Just remember not to move around too far, or you will run into more mobs, and be doomed for sure.

And just for those who didn't know how to do this:

To get to this area, go downstairs when you enter the instance. Then, pass some mobs until you see a room with steps leading down to watery pool below.

Before the steps should be an object that you can right-click (gold gear appears on it)

When you do so, green lights should appear shining on the atalai statues that you must press to summon the boss you must kill on this bottom floor. Watch the order that the lights touch the statues, that is the order you must press them in.

After that, go upstairs, press the statues in the correct order, and do as Niekon did. The boss is very simple to kill, it just has a high amount of HP, so don't be scared of it.

The order of the statues is:

6 oclock - 12 oclock - 8 oclock - 4 oclock - 10 oclock - 2 oclock

If you're doing it right ~ the statues will light up green as you go ~ I wrote them down exactly opposite by accident and was very frustrated. Hope this helps!

Nimfo has it right, but in case you're not too keen on the clock analogy here's another way to get the statue locations in the right order:
South, North, SouthWest, SouthEast, NorthWest, NorthEast

Was looking for better gear to see what would be the best choice.

For healing gear, the bonus to healing on the Forest's Embrace is godlike. You won't find anything even close until Outland, when you can get Sacred Feather Vest (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28050).

If you're Balance, take the staff. The bonuses on it are very nice, and while you will replace it with Crystfire Staff (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=24069) in Outland, it will easily last until then.

If you're feral, DON'T take the Grizzled Pelt. Mixologist's Tunic (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=12793), which drops in BRD, is much better. You'll be replacing the Pelt very quickly. Frankly I'd take the staff, as it sells for the most. >.<

In case you don't want to risk having the pool respawn in the middle of your battle with the guardian (this happened to my party and the spawns hit our healer so fast that the rest of us wiped in no time), when we came back, we did it the opposite way. We cleared upstairs first and then had someone activate all but the final statue, while the rest of the party jumped down to take on the mobs. Then, when the pool was clear, the last statue was activated and our last guy jumped down to take on the guardian. Easy after that.

To be honest, the rewards for the druid version of this quest are less than sterling. I was hoping for a useful trinket (as seems to be offered for all other classes), but instead we got easily replaceable items :(

Definetely not as great when compared to what a priest or mage is offered.

With the speedy leveling now, groups can sometimes be hard to come by. My druid never found a group for ST but I just came back and soloed this at lvl 60 wearing quest rewards from the early Outland quests.

I first went to the very bottom and cleared the pool where the Guardian spawned, then went up and only cleared the platforms with the statues. On platforms with two mobs, I was able to single pull (actually I just opened with pounce and the other mob never proximity agroed). Beware the large oozes will continuously pump out mini-oozes. Even in dire bear with good armor and hp these little jerks can do some damage.

Don't bother clearing the hallway but watch out for the Oozlings that patrol. Very easy to kill, one ravage and they were down, think I saw 3 on patrol.

Guardian can be stunned so I opened with pounce, and then went to town laying in the bleeds and then shift to bear and wear him down. Like someone said above, when he knocks you into the air, shift to cat to reduce the fall damage.

Okay, since this post is missing actual info about the quest, at least it was last I checked, the drop is off of the guardian in the basement, forget the mob's name. So, in the pool, below where the statues are.

Although some would attempt it, I wouldn't recomend doing this part of the chain alone, there are 2 47-49 elites as well as a bunch of nonelite maggots you have to kill at each statue, then the spawn mob you need to kill once summoned, for the vine is a low lvl 50. I was able to clear a few of them out, but it just ended up taking too long and I got bored. Doing it with 2 or 3 ppl or in a full ST grp would be easy and not take as much frustration, and it's not that out of the way at all.

well this is all kind off pointless... I mean this whole page its meant for people stuck on this quest not for a huge debate about crap.

Well for those stuck on this quest you need to go to the Sunken Temple and do the East side (With all the serpents) you have to light 6 serpent statues in a certain order. This summons a huge troll boss at the bottom. the Putrid Vine drops from him.

The information given here is rather disheatrtening. For those stuck on the quest go to sunken temple, light the serpant statues. Go down stairs and kill the prophet, drops off him if i remember right.

To those saying that druids cant dps need to follow there damage meters a bit closer and open there eyes instead of there mouths. I have been feral spec and tanked/dpds in just about every instance in thi sgame including naxx. I can hang with rogues in T2gear as far as damage and dps goes. Dps isnt what you should be comparing its the difference in abilities. druids are a hybrid class meant to be played like one, we will never surpass our rogue,priest,warrior counterparts at there main job but dont think we cant compare. I myself sport in my feral gear around 1350AP and just over 34%crit, 4700health and 4500mana, with just MOW. Best crit opener was tad over 3000dmg and best 5point finihers was around 2800. Avg though is between 1500-2500 for both. That is on par or higher than your average rogue and warrior. druids CAN tank if they are speccd for it. Does it make them better..nope they dont have the abilites a warriro does but when push comes to shove and you are down a man they make a good 2nd choice and one capabloe of filling the shoes. Stop debating and comparing druids to rogues warriros and priest...we are druids, a hybrid SUPPORT class. sooner ppl start playing them like that and using them that way teh better off we all will be..

also for those curiouis of my gear i have the rank 13armor, unending ring,cloak,mace. FWrank6 trinket, blackhands breath, darkmoonfaire necklace, exalted wsg bracers, AB belt, and the unstoppable force as a weapon. donjuilos band, and quickstrike ring. The gear is there so stop saying it isnt.

I'm a 59 Tauren Druid on Rexxar, soloed him with 4800hp bearform. i think lvl 58-59 is needed to solo the temple, otherwise u'll be seen by the trash mobs near the serpent statues.

1) stealth into the instance, then stealth to the first statue.

1) the statues
Activate the statues in the given order. to do so stealth behind the statue to the edge of the platform the statue is on. Just be careful not to aggro the mobs next to the statues when u r out of stealth and dont fall down into the water (it's a long way up).

2) into the water
after activating the 6th statue simply jump down into the water while using catform.

3) the pulling
the boss moves around so u can pull him when he's got some distance to the 3 trash mobs in the middle of the water

4) the fight
i pulled him with moonfire (dot) and shifted into bearform. faught, activated frenzied regen at about 1/2 hp, faught again. then stuned him with bash and got a healing touch out. maybe u can cast another regrowth or rejuvenation afterwards, depending on ur stun length through feral talent.
faught in bearform again, then used major healing potion. faught => boss died. if he's still alive, use natures swiftness+healing touch if available.

if not get a healthstone from a lvl60 warlock and or sum other classes buffs.
remember innervate to keep ur mana up for shapeshifting and healing.

boss can stun for 3 secs and has a knockback attack, so fight in a "corner" of the ring.

I made it now for a hour ago and I fell so happy! =)
WEll the quest is ez .. it's just quite b0ring .. when you are going to do the quest .. Bring your friends! .. before this run i made for an hour ago , i was in aparty with some n00bs who said : i need to go .. and tooked the hs.. Well then you get pretty angry ..

go to the statues clear every single mob near the altar and on the balconies .. The you press at the statue in this order:

South
North
Southwest
Southeast
Northwest
Northeast

then a boss will come down to the altar .. Just go and slay him .. He's Very easy .. But dont forgett to kill the adds b4 you activate the statues.

Then just loot the thing =)

When you enter the instance look straight ahead. You can either go left or right, go right. Clear all the trash mob's and activate the stone's. You can choose too drop down into the water, if you like when you are first entering the instance you take an immediate right, that will take you down too where the boss will spawn.

You need to talk to Bearwalker first or Torwa won't give you the quest. You will find him at the upper floor of the Cenarion Circle in Darnassus.

Talk to Torwa Pathfinder in Ungoro, as you come down the ramp from Tanaris.

Farm 8 Bloodcaps from Bloodpetal Sprouts, and 8 Gorashi Stings from Gorashi Stingers in the Slithering Scar.

Talk to Torwa again.

Stab a Devilsaur with a special weapon he gives you. Hibernate FTW.

Talk to Torwa again.

Go to Sunken Temple and activate the statues in order.

NORTHWEST
NORTHEAST

Need to clear some snakes by the statues, Hibernate FTW again.

Atalarion will be summoned. Jump down into the pool of water in cat form, you will survive. The edges of the pool are safe, so hang back and pull the trash mobs as best you can to clear them out. Don't Hibernate the snake too early, since you don't want Atalarion to patrol by and aggro.

Kill Atalarion and loot the Putrid Vine from him.

Return to Torwa and claim your prize.

Just tried to solo this as a 60 druid in fairly good outlands gear(balance and tanking set).

The first 4 statues can be stealthed to and activated without aggroing the mobs but the last 2 cannot. This means you get zerged by two high 40's elites and 4 or 5 lvl 48 slug things. Moonkin using hurricane takes the slug things down to about 5% health. If you're quick u can kill a few of the sluggies with moonfire before you die. Alternatively you might try a barkskin, stomp and heal. Any attempt at stomp without barkskin fails because so may mobs are hitting you.

After walking back from the graveyard a few times activating the statues the guardian appeared and it really got interesting.

The guardian,(50 elite)has over 12k health and hits very hard so a druid needs to draw out the fight even in dire bear form. This wouldn't be a problem outside but since it's indoors the only two ways to get a heal off are to bash for 6 seconds and stomp for 4 sec. In tanking gear the two heals didn't do it for me and the cooldowns are too long to get a third.

One more thing. If he knocks you high up into the air taking cat form for the landing lessens the damage.

Result = 4g repair bill and no stinking vine. :(

WOW! I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A MOMENT TO SET THINGS STRAIT ONCE AND FOR ALL.

I hear all sorts of arguments and opinions that people hold against druids, and it all comes back to the idea that every other class is better at their role than the druid is. I have also heard alot of arguments and opinions that would suggest that druids are better at all their roles than any other class is at their specific role. For the record, both sides are both right and wrong.

It is not a matter at what class is better at doing what, it is a matter of who is better at using what class. The toon does not make the player, the player makes the toon. I have seen rogues that cannot keep up with me dps-wise, but I have also seen rogues destroy me on the dps meter. I have seen warriors die long before me, I have also seen warriors that, compared to me, seem almost invincible. I have seen mages that do amazing damage overall, then I have seen those that, when next to me, seem like nothing more than a mosquito on a hot summer day.

Seriously people, when will it get through that what it comes down to is style of play on behalf of the player? A feral druid (that's me) might be the bread and butter of one person's game, while for another person the feral druid would do nothing for 'em. The only reason a person would make a druid is for one reason, and one reason only: the versatility they present.

Druids can serve as tanks, dps bots, healers, or just straight-up casters. It depends on the spec, the gear, and the person using the toon (that last factor always has the biggest effect on the success of the toon). I can't stand it when people say that druids are better than warriors because they out-tank warriors all the time. That doesn't mean that druids are better, it means that that person is a better gamer than the person using the warrior. And that goes for any comparison.

Case and point: Druids are no better or worse than any other class, it's the gamer that makes the toon. And THAT is the truth!

Why does everyone wait until level 60 and try and solo this? Just get a normal 5 man instance group in the low 50s and go for it. Just have to ask the group to do it, since it seems like no ST runs do this anymore.

I didn't meet any resitance, just said I would only go if we did this boss. But then again, I'm a Resto Druid so I can get away with this :P Might not fly for a DPS Feral or Boomkin. But eh, it worked.

Took a lil while to run, and ended up having one member log out without telling anyone. But we were able to 4 man him without much problem. All of us were level 50-52, with Resto Druid (me), Paladin, Hunter, and a wanna-be-rouge Druid. And the other Druid was a bit of a nub, had a Taran Icebreaker as his main weapon, except he cat formed the whole time. An Epic with a "blasts enemy on hit" and no stat boosts is useless to a druid in cat form :P

Got the Vine, was able to finish the secret of the circle quests, and the Paladin got a nice plate belt. Just do it at 50ish this, it works.

Make sure you are in a group that wants to do the temple of hakkar. A lot of groups skip it because it takes a while compared with the other bosses. In my mid 50s, I ran with a couple groups that wanted to skip it, so I decided to solo it later.

I came back at 60 (feral) with poor gear (mostly lvl 40s-50s quest rewards) and tried to solo with 5K bear armor. I had problems with the 3 elite snakes at once with their non-elite maggot friends. So I bought 4 AH lvl 59-60 green armor items to take my armor up to 6.5K and increase my stamina. I would say this is adequately geared (no epics, one blue ring). Eureeka, no problems at all soloing this quest!

1. From main entrance, first stairs down on your right. Clear mobs to the altar. Hibernate is your friend here. Clear the mobs in the water. (I also cleared the mobs on the platform around the water to be certain to eliminate adds in the boss fight, but I don't think this was necessary. But if you decide to clear the mobs around the water, do them before you clear the mobs in the water, because they may respawn before your boss fight starts).

2. Go back up to main entrance. Take the 2nd stairs on the right, then when forced to choose up or down, go down to "Hall of Serpents". Stealth to each platform and kill the mobs by the statues and r. click the statue. The selected statue will now be surrounded in green light. Perform and repeat the process in this order (S, N, SW, SE, NW, NE).

3. When the last statue is clicked, the boss should be wandering below in the water. Cat, stealth, jump down and back into one of the many shallow alcoves at the edge of the water (because he can punt you for damage). Go Bear, pull him then kill him. It's a simple fight. I only had to pop out to heal once.

4. Loot the better ingredient!

I was a bit sad to wait until 60 because my new green chest is way better tank armor than the quest reward. But it's a fun solo nonetheless.

Druids rule! I also stealthed around and killed the 6 mini-bosses for fun, they were too easy to kill, I couldn't even laugh at them.

No problems at all, but had to be careful on the Jammalan room.

Used sap where possible. Whole instance was completed with no wipes. What I find really annoying is that although this item is from a level 50 quest its regarded as item level 52 .. normally this would be an item level 55. This means you cant put a nice +8 stam knothide armor kit on it .. but it can still be enchanted with +6 stats .. kinda retarded imho.

Robes of the Exalted from Baron patche's Forest's Embrace, so ill take Grizzled Pelt. Plus it has 13 more healing, woo!, if i ever need to heal cause im PvP feral.

The first part of the quest isn't too bad (getting the mushrooms and the wasp stings). The wasp's drop rate wasn't great by on the bright side, it is exp gained.
The second part was ok, i just put him to sleep, stabbed him and legged it in cheetah form.
I am still stuck on the third part of the quest...is it possible to do it on your own of did everyone take a group down with them? :)

Killing the ST boss:
This part was easier than I thought it would be. Getting to the boss:
1) take the stairs all the way down to the pit
2) clear the snakes there
3) go back up to the entrance
4) take one of the front pathways and follow stairs down to the ring
5) sneak around the ring activating the statues in order: S N SW SE NW NE. Note that for most of these (maybe all actually) you don't have to kill the mobs on the balcony. Just be sneaky.

Now jump down to the boss, find a corner and get ready. He hits pretty hard (about 250-350) but slow. Like lots of fights with elites, it's just a matter of wearing him down and keep your hp up. He can be bashed and warstomped, so use those as necessary. I think my fight went bash/heal, frenzied regen, bash/heal, dance. The fight took me about 3 minutes

His only special attack is a huge punt. My first attempt ended with 2354 damage from the landing. You can completely avoid this damage though. Everytime he punts you, feral charge back to him. Often you'll go higher than charge's range... just wait until you're close enough and hit it.

how long did it take you guys to get the stupid gorishi stings? the gorishi stingers (Who drop the stings) are extremtly reare and the ive killed atleast 15 of them so far and have only gotten 2 stings. sigh

Just soloed the boss on level 60, below average "tank" gear (blues, ah greens :) (~7300 armor),
11/0/40 talents (yes, 0 feral :).
It was a little slow to activate all statues (I got no aggro from snakes, oozes, etc).
Then I jumped down, found a safe spot, pulled him
with a moonfire, bear form, roar, etc, usual stuff :)
I was near the wall, so I couldn't see anything,
but he was unable to throw me. He died pretty soon. I think 2-3 ~lvl55 druids can do it easily
in stealth run, just have to be more careful while
prowling (and maybe have to kill the mobs on the
balconies).

Regardless of your spec, you want to get the Forest's Embrace. I made the mistake of getting the Grizzled pelt, and then discovered afterwards that the Forest's Embrace has a much higher +healing bonus than ANY other epic or rare leather chest piece. Basically, Forest's Embrace will be useful to you in raids/instances long after the other items become obsolete.

then take the way from tanaris to un'goro crater. when your down there you see a waterfall with a tauron that has the next quest. you need to find some bloodcaps that are in the sprouts on the ground and viper stings . under in the crater are some wesps. keep killing and you get them. return to quest and you need to poison a 54 elite dino walking around.. well he doesnt die from it so its a suicide run, well after that you need to go to the sunken temple and retrieve something. how? you need to do the boss where you activate all the pillars and then a boss walks up the stairs from the water. when you killed him and picked the thingy you return to out tauron and get recieve a nice reward.

Think I'll pick the pelt and use my Ironfeather set for healing. Have to farm less Warbear leather that way, already have the Ironfeather set made, would be a shame to just get rid of the chest after the effort I put into it

Honestly I think with this quest it's a no brainer to choose the Forest's Embrace. I definitely plan on choosing this when my druid reaches the level for this quest because the other 2 items can be replaced by better stuff much easier than the Embrace.

Think about the Grizzled Pelt, this is a definite waste no matter what. To all the druids that don't just want agi and want strength too you are not limited to a "Fungus Shroud" or other pure agi armors, go stealth run BRD with a rogue or other druid, EASILY 2 man Plugger Spazzring and pick up a "Mixologists Tunic" that has 18 str, 12 agi, 18 stam. In my opinion this is a much better choice even in terms of stats for the stam is higher and the lack of 4 agi means nothing to a druid. Also if taking a rogue you might make him happy if a "Barmans Shanker" drops and he doesn't have something as good :)

When it comes to the staff, although the equip passives may be nice you can easily find better options from other staffs or mainhand/offhand combinations that will have good passives plus high stats as well. Also you must look at the fact that even if you have a worse weapon choice, chances are its gonna be harder to upgrade your armor to the healing quality of the Embrace than it would be to upgrade your weapon(s) to near or equal quality of the staff.

Hope this helps anyone in their choice

I agonized over which of the 3 to choose for a long time when I did this quest 6 months ago. In the end I took the staff. Now I wish I'd taken the healing tunic. The bonus to healing is HUGE. Where were all of you who should have posted this 6 months ago?

I picked forest's embrace
The choise was a bit hard, cause i am about to make ironfeather breatplate and shoulders, those combined have +20 healing and a lot of intelect.

But if i am to get better shoulders later on, i wouldnt have the healing bonus anymore. So this is a better choise.

I am happy with it :)

I finished this quest at level 52. Finding the wasps was a pain, getting the stingers was evil. The dinosaur part, instead, was truly easy. Sleep, prick, go into travel form and run. It was truly worth it. The stave is a weapon that got shammys, priests and warlocks at the same level drooling over it. I got numerous whispers asking me where to get it, and lots of dissapointment from their part when i told them. Good choice for resto druids, awsome pick for balance. I agree that getting a good weapon can be difficult to get.

Figured i'd finally do the damn quest, even though i didn't need the rewards.
This is how i did it as a 16/3/32 specced druid: (weird spec, i know. pretty personalized after my gear)

Went down first to kill the three mobs there, which was the hardest part of the whole "run".
All three hitting on me at once made it rather hard to time healing and cast it before entering bear form again, but I made it out of it easily and alive.
Then stealthed back up and activated all statues without any aggro at all, except for an annoyingly quick oozeling or two from behind when stealthing.

When all six were activated I simply jumped down into the water and threw a few spells on Atal'alarion before meeting him in bear form.
Pulled him quickly into one of the "bevels" (not sure that's the right word, but you'll hopefully understand ^_^) to avoid being thrown.

Took some time to kill him even with a few epics and the rest being superior, but of course I am geared to be a kitty so I do lack strength.
The whole fight was steady and went well, and I walked out of it happily finished with the quest, and with a polearm worth a few gold to vendors =)

When I was doing this lovely quest, I didn't even hesitate to choose the Moonshadow Stave. Being a Balance Druid, it had al lthe three things I coudl ever want. Spell damage, crit, and mana per 5. Sure, the healing chest is very nice, and if I weren't Balance I might have chosen taht. But a staff that stood with me basically until I got Finkle's Lava Dredger from the Core. And even then, I didn't permenantly put the staff away until the patch made Intellect our new damamge/healing and spirit. I also agree with the chest piece for feral being replacable.

Long story short, here's my advice: Staff if you're balance, Healing chest if you're not.

These Rewards honestly arent that great. If you are feral, get the Fungus shroud armor (+25 agi, +10 stam, lvl 51), or wait till 56 and get the wicked leather armor. If your resto, just flip a coin. I picked the staff because i knew i would be getting wild heart chest in a few levels. Decent weapons are sometimes a bit harder =/

Was kind of hoping for that amulet to avoid going through the process of dealing with the Onyxia quests... but it seems that this is not the case and the Alla quest should be updated?

SLOWER staff, because it does more damage.

Haha in any feral form the damage on your weapon translates into nothing. I could take off my weapon and still deal 90+ % dmg because a cats dmg is based solely on stats. Thats why the green text at the bottom = useless garbage or a shape shifter because the only bonuses you keep are + stats and such. The only damage my weapon adds is the +11 agi. All feral gear looks only for -cat and -bear. 'Nuff said.

Enough useless chatter about the rewards, can't someone PLEASE post a bit of useful information as to how to complete the quest?

I whole heartedly agree. I just ran ST and had no idea where to look.

The last portion of the quest (in Sunken Temple) is soloable at 60... with patience. (And 11k armor.)

Hitting the statues in order takes forever because stealth is so sloooow. Most I was able to unstealth on the lege far enough from mobs to avoid killing anything. On one or two ledges the mobs were too close and I had to fight.

Then to the bottom, where the three elite snakes in the center will pull without the boss but seem to be linked. Burned a major health pot when one resisted sleep three times in a row, but otherwise not difficult.

Boss is Atal'alarion, a level 50 elite. Hits hard and sometimes stuns, and also does a punt that does a bunch of damage when you fall if you're not wedged under an overhang. Stunnable. Had to pop out to heal several times.

Thanks blizzard for finally adding a druid equivalent quest for The Temple. But seriously...why do they suck? I see plenty of lvl 60's still using alot of the items they get from these quests. Devilsaur Eye? Soul Harvester? Chivalrous Signet? Blessed Prayer Beads?

And you give us this trash...

I'd like to know which is the best? (Feral/Resto druid talking here) I like the Grizzled Pelt, but Im thinking about those other 2 aswel, or are there better things instead of them?

Should I take the Grizzled Pelt or should I take one of the others?

The main problem, compared to the rewards from other classes, is the continuity. Every class also gets a unique trinket for them. And all trinkets still have agreat value once that player hits level 60.

The warlock one to get a free Void Walker is neat, the warrior gets +75 str (150ap)/9hp regen, Hunters get 150 ap/2% to hit. All those trinkets stay very viable even at level 60 and actually have good PvP value. You hardly see anyone take the armor/weapon rewards, because they are easily replaced with better gear, simply because there are better equalivants of them.

Which is pretty much the biggest problem here for Druids, we get no unique trinket (which would have been awesome) and all the rewards can easily be replaced with better alternatives at higher levels. An obvious example would be the Moonshadow Stave for a Staff of the Ogre Magi.

When I first saw that I would get the Moonshadow Staff I was excited. Finally a better Staff than what I had... Then we killed the Avatar of Hakar and I got this, Spire of Hakkar. That staff is faster, and though it has a lower damage set, the DPS is higher due to the speed. The only thing it doesn't have is the mana regen (crap) and the +14 to Spell Crits, but the +14 Spirt makes up for the mana regen and the +14 Stam yields some extra XP. So, in the end, I vendored the Moonshadow Staff and gots mah 3g 78s 92c.

I wonder when Blizzard realizes that the quest rewards they offer are very subpar compared to the stuff you can loot off bosses and buy at the AH.

I also think the Hunter trinket beats any of these items.

this quest seems to be broken for me.. i did the quest leading up to it, shows available on map.. no mark over head, and dosnt offer the quest.

It is as I feared -- the toxin is simply too weak for such a powerful creature.

If we are to create a toxin of high enough potency, you must venture to the bottom of the Temple of Atal'Hakkar, unlock the secrets of the altar and recover a putrid vine from the guardian there. The temple is dangerous, and it would behoove you to bring friends.

Return to me when this is done.
