They all spawn at the warp area in southern hellfire... fast spawn and easy to kill

Worth noting that it's not the voidwalkers you spawn for the quest to gain Warp Nethers.... It's from Rogue and Uncontrolled Voidwalkers only.

When the void overhead is zapping one of the voidwalkers with one of its beams it seems to make the quest item have a much higher chance to drop.

I would point out that using Enslave Demon on these VW's is a bad idea... seems that when that beam hits them they regain conciousnous. Happened to me, don't know about anyone else

Great Quest, Cool Rewards.

I had no problems soloing this at level 60 with my Holy Priest.

The drop rate is really high, So easy quest. Worth Doing it!

This quest is available to both sides, while "An Ambitious Plan" https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=9383 is alliance only.

Don't make the mistake like I did and run into the Temple of Telhamat thinking it's Neutral. :-D

Guys, this is one of the best quests so for for getting money.
Their drop is about 10 + silver per kill, plus they drop good items also. I got in five minutes some 10 g if I count items they droped.
The best way to do the quest is:
1. Kill all of them and then wait untill they respawn on instance.
This is how i did, as a 61 Hunter.
To get 10 of Condensed Voidwalker Essences it will take u some 5 to 10 min the most.
Easy one.

fyi when i did this quest i think i got only one drop from the uncontrolled voids, drop rate on the rouge voids was really good

Very easy quest. Doesn't matter what class you are, you shouldn't have any problems completing this. The Voidwalkers are easy to kill and they drop Mote of Shadows. The questrewards are pretty good aswell. You find these at 44,84, close to the entrance to Terokkar Forest.

good amount of mobs and fantastic drop rate around 50,81 - just west of Expedition Armory.

Took me about 20 kills of rogue and uncontrolled voidwalkers to get the essences to start dropping. What a pain!

I went looking for this quest but the goblin didn't have it in the list alongside the "In case of emergency" quest. I went to the coords at lvl 61 to do the quest for the void essences. any idea what's up with that?

Very easy quest. Just sit under one of the portals, and wait for them to spawn.

I got more drops from the rogues than the uncontrolled. Out of all the essences I got only one from a uncontrolled

I just noitced something about this quest.
Whenever that like sphere above the groud shoots a lighting beam into the void walker you're fighting that means the void walker will drop the Condensed Voidwalker Essence, and if the lightning doesn't strike your void walker it wont drop it.
So far on every single kill i've gotten my theory stands.

Just to add my 2p worth..

It does seem that having the lightening effecting the voidwalker you;re fighting while it dies results in a 50% avg drop...

That was my experience anyways

Meakak is wrong though. I am there killing them now and so far 4 out of 6 Uncontrolled Voidwalkers have dropped the Essence. I have also done this quest earlier with other toons, and from my experience they all drop the Essence.

I agree, killing them just after the lightening stops gives an increased drop rate.

Make sure you get the watch.

Aggro reduction tools are rare, but the dodge rating charm is horrible and worthless.

Even a tank should get the watch, you'll regret it later if you don't.

There seems to be two types of Voidwalkers prowling about The Warp Fields.

There is the "Uncontrollable Voidwalker" which doesn't drop the quest item.

What you wanna look for is the "Rogue Voidwalker",
this way you can tell they're already charged by the lightning.

Did this as lev 60 warrior.

Killed 20 voidwalkers

10 Uncontrollable Voidwalker: dropped 5 Condensed Voidwalker Essence

10 Rogue Voidwalker: Dropped 5 Condensed Voidwalker Essence

So droprate was 50% - and doesn't matter which voildwalker you kill.

Got 1000 XP for each kill - rested. Plus 9800 XP for the quest. So nearly 30.000 XP for 20 minutes work - died once.

Cords are around 44,84 or just west of Expidition Armory.

Good quest, fast and easy XP.

Cmon, folks, the drop rate is great as long as it is really not gawd-awful--In this case, a moot issue!
I experienced about a 50% dr, regardless of whether VW was getting 'lightning' or not, and from both rogue and uncontrolled types. Was pleasantly surprised to get several mote of shadow as drops ;)

60 prot pally on windrunner, grinded these guys for 15 minutes straight, going out of combat once or twice, used a mana pot or two, but they wouldnt stop respawning. every minute or so, another group of 3 would spawn, so as soon as i finished with one group, another came back, and again and again. until, of course, my internet dropped. has that happened to anybody else? i was under one of those lightning clouds, if anyone cares to know.

To complete this quest you need to bring 10 Condensed Voidwalker Essences to "Screaming" Screed Luckheed.

Follow the northwest direction and soon you will see the skies and environment turn purple. That means you are in the right area to collect stuff.
There are mobs within the area you can loot Condensed Voidwalker Essences from - Rogue Voidwalkers and Uncontrolled Voidwalkers - drop chance is medium.

This is similar to one of the quests in Dustwallow Marsh where you have to kill oozes as they are being zapped. The same concept may apply here. The voidwalkers have to be actively being zapped by the warp field for the drop. Once I noticed it, I got the essence in all but one of my kills. Or I could have been extremely lucky and it was all coincidence. It helped though, since there were mobs of players pulling all the voidwalkers.

There seems to be a correlation between the 'zapped' or charged void walkers and drops. I think you need to focus on the VW's around the rifts that are getting 'charged' by the bolts coming from the rift. These ones seem to have a 'sparkly' look the ones on the perimeter or not near a rift don't have.

Even if I can get the zeppelin's frame repaired, I'll have to find something else to power the engine. I'm all out of fuel and there's no place to fill up around here!

To the south of us is an area of broken land called the Warp Fields. It's full of rogue and uncontrolled voidwalkers, but I like to think of them as walking batteries.

If you can bring me enough of their essence, I can convert the zeppelin's engine to run on it. Five gold says I'll even get better mileage out of it, too!
