While doing this quest if you head up the right side of the ruins next to the mountain you find a Quest npc, named Morod at tloc 13,61. He gives you a quest to find another npc in that same camp named Naladu who gives a series of quests.

Drop rate is reasonable; I was doing this with a friend of mine and we both got our 5 in a total of about 15 minutes.

These things respawn incredibly fast, so it shouldn't be a problem even if the place is crowded.

The taskmaster is easy to kill, but you get 2adds almost on every taskmaster. killed around 10-15taskmasters...

Not-so-good drop rate. it felt like I had to kill a million of those things. Careful of the 62 Elite demon roaming around though, I found out the hard way :p

Just a FYI, if you aggro multiple task masters(Each with multiple adds), if you manage to take down one of the task master all of them usually run away. (I haven't been able to try this consistantly, but i'm pretty sure it works.)

Brutes will run after taskmaster is dead, as long as you have not hit them. I would suggest putting your pet on passive so it will not attack the brutes after the taskmaster is dead.

When you get one of the taskmaskers low on health, you can agro a couple more and when you kill the first one ALL of the adds disappear so you only have to deal with the other 2 taskmasters.

I killed about 50 of the taskmasters and none droped for me, i abandoned 3 times but didn't work tho .... anyone can confirm the bug?

Another point, the fleeing mobs will fight for you if you aggro another taskmaster during there flee.
Not to helpful but a neat fact haha

the place that u find these mobs if u go to like i think the back right of this place a guy will give u quest thats easy for people that can stealth and u eventuly have to kill the elite but still gives some good xp FOR THE HORDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bugged for me. 35 kills, no drops....:( Same with side quest of finding key in coffer. No wheel shows up to open chest. Abandoned/relogged 4-5 times. O well, got 4 bars of xp grinding mobs for nothing

My drop rate wasnt that bad. Killed 7 got 5. Also, if the taskmaster has one or two of those lil dreghood adds, dont attack them. Once the taskmaster drops, they de-aggro and run away. Kinda funny actually.

I just did it. Took about 15 minutes. Killed 10 of the big guys and got the 5 necessary drops.

easy as a 60 mage, dont worry if the taskmaster has a few red slaves with him, as soon as you kill him they will turn yellow and vanish

Don't hit the Dreghood Brutes at all and when you kill the big guys they'll flee. If you do any damage to them then you need to kill them.

Big 63 Elite demon roams the entrance. Stay clear of him and its any easy quest. My drop rate was about like another poster's: 5 out of 7 kills.

Kill the Taskmaster and the little Dreghoods will turn into passive mobs and flee. The coords 13,60 are correct. Watch out for the elite 63 demon, Arzeth the Merciless.

not bad. . . killed like 8 to get my first, then 3 more dropped in the next 4 kills, then got the last a few kills later - very easy though

To complete this quest you need to obtain 5 Demonic Essences from the Illidari Taskmasters.

Follow straight to the west of Falcon Watch along the hill chain. You should run into the half ruined village filled with Illidari Taskmasters and their enslaved minions.
So, travel across the ruined village to slay Illidari Taskmasters and loot Demonic Essences - drop chance is medium. Be on guard, there is an elite patrols along the central road.
Btw, you can only kill Illidari Taskmasters ignoring the minions as they go neutral after the taskmaster is killed and flee.

TBC Classic: AVOID THIS QUEST AT ALL COSTS. The area is not affected by dynamic respawn for whatever the %^&* reason, so it's just 30+ people running around the place waiting for respawns. And to add insult to injury, it's not even a 100% drop chance on the quest item; I had to kill nearly 20 mobs to get the 5 items.

With a busy zone this is easily the worst quest in Hellfire Peninsula right now.

Just want to put it out there; I was killing Taskmasters for just over an hour, and only 4 dropped. If you're having a similar issue it seems that if you drop the quest, and restart it they should drop at the correct rate.

Uncorrupted draenei, like this unlucky fellow here, are virtuous champions of the Light. What corruption caused their great race to devolve into the Broken and Lost Ones?

I've heard a theory that exposure to fel energies is what caused the mutation. I would like to put that theory to the test.

Northwest of here lie the Ruins of Sha'naar. There you will find lowly Broken commanded by Illidari taskmasters. Bring me demonic essences from the taskmasters so that I can test them on this draenei.
