There are lots of Debilitated Grunts in this area, level 58, that have a good drop rate for the beads. Easy, easy kills. Note to rogues: grunts and debilitated grunts have no pockets to pick :-(

This quest is one of the "naughty" ones that you get in trouble for when you complete it. After your questgiver gets scolded for ordering you to kill orcs for beads, you're given this quest:

i'm a prot pally and i was fighting 4-5 at a time and with holy shield on, they were dieing when i wasn't attacking them

Easy to do. Just take out the Grunts. Found that their drop rate is the best.

I had a 100% drop rate on the ones kneeling down as if they were praying. Mayby its a clue they have the prayer beads.

This quest was very easy! :D

I am a 61 Balance Druid and i just pulled and killed 4-5 on one time.
It took about 10 min. to find all the things :)
The drop rate is okay. Maybe a 25% chance...

The corts are: 33,33 and all around in that area.. ;)

anywhere up around 33, 35 works. However, the drop rate is pretty low. I killed about 12-15 mobs and only got 2 ancestral beads...

yep, go for the grunts works best, some are lvl 58, as a dagger rogue i could almost 3 hit em.

33.32 worked best for me, around the tents

This has got to be the easiest quest I've done in OL so far. These guys are unarmed and have no armor. Killed 4 mobs of the grunts and got all the beads. Pretty easy.

Do you have to wear something to get the beads or do they drop for all?
cant get one bead.
And is it the hunter/watcher or grunt who drops?

Dehabilitated and regular grunts seem to have the best drops. Entrance to Mag'har post is at about 29,39

4 grunts in front of a hut that looks like a upside down teacup at 35,36. Easy to pull and easy to kill. High drop rate at least 1 in 3. Soloed with 61 hunter.

Duhno how the first few got so lucky with drops. I killed 13 before I got my 1st necklace. I cleared the entire upper camp, including the watchers and hunters, and only got 3 more. Grunts are fairly easy, which makes this mission a little less annoying, but the drop rate (at least for me) was exceptionally slow.

I got the best drop rate off the debilitated grunts, perhaps they have been sitting around at their physical therapy sessions making ancestral beads... But I also had a few drops from the regular grunts.
Coords are around 33,31, at the top of the mountain at the mag'har post.
The entrance is to the right of temple of telhamat and up a little path. Mobs are around level 60, although they range from 58 to 62. A few times I pulled about 4 at once, but I had no problem killing them all as a lvl 61 shadow priest. As mentioned before they are pretty squishy.
Took me about 10 mins and i got 10400 xp, no rep and a cute little ring. Pretty good quest.

You really want the ones that are sick - they seem to drop at a good rate - at least they did for me. The hunters don't tend to drop them much.

It was mostly the level 61's that dropped the item when I ran through here

Quest co-ordinates are 33.35

Also if you are a miner then there is a lot of Fel Iron here for you to dig up

Only seems to drop off Grunts and Debilitated Grunts.

Not so bad really at 32, 32 stay with the grunts for the most part. you will be fighting 2 to 3 for the most part, but they are easy to kill.
the hunters and watchers are pointless, they don't drop beads,stay away from the main gate at the very top to the left there is a 68 elite in there.
solo'd this one at 61.
And remember, horde are loosers

For me i only got the drops from the Grunt's, about 9 off 15 kills and then 1 off a sick one.

I found that anywhere up in the Mag'hur Hilltop you could farm for them. They only drop from the types of Grunts, not the hunters and shammys I believe.
I grouped with a hunter, they are pretty squishy so we killed them together and were done in 20 mins total for the both of us.
Pretty good stuff, but the "sedai's blade" as a reward sells for 6g35s79c at a regeant supplier

While doing this quest I got a blue and two greens on my first 4 kills and then two greens later while I was just killing them for fun.

Easy kills, great drop rate and awesome luck!

I was prepared for a terrible drop rate, augmented by a latency of about 500 (who knows?) but it only took me about 30 minutes. My hunter was concentrating on the Grunts more than the Hunters, not from professional courtesy but just to avoid those annoying pets, none of which drop anything of course. Respawn rate was fast enough so that by the time you completed one circuit, the Grunts were starting to respawn at the beginning of your circuit. One of them dropped a green and others dropped three Major Healing Potions, one Major Mana Potion as well as a bunch of Runecloth and a Scroll of Strength.

Man, that Makuru really is just a bloodthirsty genocidal maniac! It's like he knows the drop rate is so atrocious you basically have to slaughter every orc in the entire village TWICE just to get all the beads you need.

Sedai was like a brother to Makuru. We owe him our lives and more! They call Makuru crazy but if the Omenai are not going to do anything about his death then they're the crazy ones!

Makuru doesn't have much to call his own in this world, but he will give you his only possession if you avenge Sedai.

I've seen the brown orc Mag'har grunts before, up in the hills to the northeast. They hate us! They don't deserve our mercy! Go, avenge Sedai! Bring me their ancestral beads as proof!
