One complete run of the instance completes this quest easily.

I think the champions only occur after the second boss, so you won't be able to complete this quest without at least going that far in the instance.

1 complete run is just enough to do this quest. No rewards (except money) and no follow-up though :/

Hello,

This place is hard, I am not the best player in the world, specially at tanking. But the mobs hit hard, the first boss is easy as pie.

You can do Fel Embers by the first boss, he drops a pendant, use it on the left cauldron, also, the last boss completes Turning The Tide, so if you have a decent group you can do these, the money is not great. the rewards ok, and there is HH rep too. All the mobs except the sludges seemed to have given 10 or 5 rep.

The quest also rewards 250 reputation with Honor Hold. That's enough of a reason for everyone that is trying to get their key to do it, as you'll be running Shattered Halls repeatedly to get revered.

If you need more Shattered Hand Legionnaires for the quest after your group has cleared it, try running into a new shattered halls and you can run up to the first guy and pull him before his squad gets there. He won't aggro them with him if you get him fast enough and you can reset it over and over again until you get what you need. My girlfriend missed out on one during a run and we managed to finish her quest this way.

The quest can be attained at 66. However, the LFG system does not allow you to select the Shattered Halls at that level.

Something I don't see that anyone has mentioned is if you do not take out all of the group, the mobs will respawn if you wipe. I am soloing this now and 5-6 of these mobs will aggro, stunning you repeatedly, making it easy to wipe. You can't just take out a couple and come back. If you haven't wiped out all of them, they will all come back when you re-enter the instance.

And to get in, I had to take down a Fel Reaver solo, those giants walking around the plain, so I am not weak.

This is a tough solo.

We know precious little about the Fel Horde presence in Hellfire Citadel and our information has come at the cost of many lives.

Fel Horde troops under the command of Kargath Bladefist are a brutal, battle-hardened lot fortified by foul magics. The elite of this force, the Shattered Hand legionnaires, champions, and centurions are feared by the regulars and serve as an officer corps.

Targeting and eliminating them is a necessary first step in any successful assault on the Fel Horde's leadership.
