This is found just behind Hungarfen, in Coilfang: Underbog. It is a very tall thornvine/bush. ~Easy to miss if you are in a hurry.

I just soloed it on my hunter, but the pet died quite a bit =P
run in, feint, run in, send pet, then fein. process of boring =)

Just solo'd on my 65 rogue. Just vanish like stated above. You have plenty of time. Boss doesn't aggro until AFTER you pick it up. All I did was watch the video posted above, when you follow along the waters edge, stay out of the water. The Underbog Frenzy's will detect your stealth. Good luck!

It was a pain, but solo'd as a 70 Warlock. Bring plenty of invisibility or lesser invisibility potions and use eye of kilrogg to scout. For those that care, this is how I did it:

1. Kill first two mobs (1 at a time). Next is a linked group of 3, so didn't bother.
2. Dismissed pet and went invisible, then ran.
3. Took an immediate left and into the water to dump aggro.
4. Back out of the water ('cause of the fish).
5. Waited and took another invisibility potion and hugged the water line.
6. Waited and took a fourth potion and went up.
7. Took my last potion and got behind the frond.
8. Summoned pet to keep mobs busy (just in case) and got frond.
9. Died as I ran away screaming like a little girl.

During the potion cooldowns, keep using Eye of Kilrogg to plan your next stopping point and to time one or two of the roaming mobs. 40+ minutes later, all done. Maybe getting a group would have made more sense, but...

Name of the quest might be a quote from South Park where the 4 kids have to battle some black people from New Jersey (dancing), where they go all like:

- "You bet it's on!"
- "Oh, it's OOUN !!!"

Really easy quest if you are a rogue with improved stealth => You just sneak in and collect it, but as soon as you have it Hungarfen will be mad at you so be prepared with vanish :>

I JUST solo'd this on my rogue. Really east, just stealth and go straight foreword to the spiral circle go up. the plants to his right just go behind it and loot. He will agro but you can just vanish. BTW if you vanish then jump in the water be careful, the fish have stealth detection!

There's a lot of negativity on his thread, so I'll lay down the facts.

Reusable Frond:
Everlasting Underspore Frond
Binds when picked up
Use: Creates 10 edible Underspore Pods. (12 hour Cooldown)

Frond yelds 10 of these when used:
Underspore Pod
Binds when picked up
Unique (20)
Use: Restores 4410 health and 4410 mana over 30 seconds. Must remain seated while eating. (Does not disappear after logout)

First thing you will need is a level 63 character (Confirmed) with neutral Sporeggar rep (Confirmed).

Anyway, once you get the quest you will need to get a party together to run the Underbog instance in the Coilfang Reservoirs.

The first boss you will reach is Hungarfen, a giant Bog Lord that shoots out some nasty mushrooms. Once you kill him look in the direction of the bridge and you will see a thorny plant that is sparkling. This is what you are looking for. Loot the item, finish out the instance, and head back to Sporeggar to hand in the quest.

Hunters note. This is a fantastic item to get. It is considered a fruit, so you will be able to get 20 free food for your fruit eating pet every day (10 food every 12 hours) so get this ASAP. Also a nice quick fix for everyone if you don't have a chance to get a stack of manna biscuits.

As far as I know you cannot reobtain the frond once you toss it out so guard it with your life, it will come in handy for the rest of your WoW experience.

Newbies: read the quest description. You have to go to a place called the Underbog. The Underbog is in Coilfang Reservoir. It's a dungeon. Dungeons don't have coordinates. Somewhere in the dungeon is a plant called an Underspore. It is guarded by a spore giant is named Hungerfen. If you kill him, you should be able to get it.

NOW STOP WASTING EVERYONE ELSE'S TIME DEMONSTRATING YOUR IGNORANCE!

If you don't like what others have posted, figure it out for yourself - and stop insulting players who are obviously better at this than you!

This trinket has a 12 hour cooldown. It casts 10 pods at a time which is wonderful if you can't find a mage to conjure food/water. The nice thing about this is that it *doesn't* disappear after you log out.

solod as a 64 druid. Stealth trough everything untill you get to the first boss: Hungarfen. At his left side there is a grey plant. You can position yourself far enough from the boss but still close enough to loot the underspore frond.
Only downside is that the boss aggro's when you loot it, so I died at the end.

This thing is great! The Underspore food it Summons are not declared as conjured and stack for up to 20, and they don't disapear after logging out! So practicaly you can have 30 food ready all the time! And that food also regens Mana!

You can get the item solo if you can stealth. But in the moment you take the item the boss aggros.

While we are a peaceful people, we are at war with the spore giants, whether we like it or not. And there is a saying amongst us that all is fair in mushrooms and war!

One of the leaders of the spore giants, Hungerfen, has been tending a very special plant, known as the Underspore, to perfection for millennia. It would break his spirit if something were to happen to that plant.

Travel to the Underbog in Coilfang Reservoir and steal a frond off of it for us. Trust me, he'll notice.
