Very easy quest, just kill mob and place banner. Why the quest here says " Shadow Council Credit Marker slain (20)" I don't know cuz it's not a part of the quest in game. Just ignore it.

You can finish this quest MUCH faster if you're in a group. If everyone in your party hits the banner, on the same corpse, at the same time, you'll be credited once for each person.

The timing's actually quite easy to do with this method, too.

You can just place the banner on any corpse if you killed it or not also... I came in after someone wiped out the camp and got 5 easy marks.

Don't worry if the area is being heavily farmed, either...I ran into a night elf priest and a human mage (I'm horde), and just placed the banners on the mobs they killed and left behind for a different quest.

don't drop the provided item until you turn in the quest. even if you've planted all 20 of them, you won't be able to complete the quest without returning the banner. (oops)

This quest seems to be bugged. If you run while 'placing' a banner, sometimes you're caught inside the banner, unable to move.

It seems that the mobs need to die *inside* the compound for you to get credit for placing the banners. I was outside trying to find a mineral vein and killed about ten of them without getting any credit for banner placement. =\

Confirmed! I had the same problem but you should Indeed place the banner before looting them.

This "Bugged" quest seems to happen. I had the same issues. what I did was listen to the quest giver story before completing the quest to talk to him. I can't open the crates and I can't get credit for the banners. So Complete the quest you get to talk to him, then listen to the story. I guess I will just skip these two.

This quest is technically bugged i guess since i experienced the previously mentioned issue. I decided screw it its late, hearthed and logged for bed. Next day it was giving credit, so i suggest re logging real quick or some such. Also i stuck myself in place with the banner like some, very inconvenient for non stealthies or night elfs. They only last about 30 seconds, so if you stand directly on the corpse prepare to wait, and possibly get a pat in the mean time. Must be in within what seems like maybe 5 yards at most, and must be in LoS.
Now onto the ogres... what wont you impale for experience?

Mine is bugged as well, i came back to it maybe three times on different sessions and days and no dice. I submitted a GM ticket both times, and had to log after ~30 minutes, and i never got a response in game. However, my two emails i received said "you can't progress normal quests in raid mode, this is working as intended, to check if you are in a raid group...", i was solo. Next one told me to clear out my UI cache, which i also did, but nothin. Whatever, i'll just forget about em i guess, maybe come back after a patch.

I was able to plant the banner in every Kilsorrow agent, outside and inside the compuond. All I had to do was to loot before I planted the banner, exept the Cultist. Here I had to plant the banner before looting.

I've abandoned and re-accepted the quest about 4x... but no banners are in my bag. Is this bugged?... I was able to accept both this and "Armamants for Deception" with no problem.

You don't need to kill mobs, but if you do, you can place the flag on them also. Get a little xp and drops while you plant the flags.

I found that if you happened to be standing directly over the body, you could actually get stuck in the flag you planted (they're treated as solid objects). You could presumeably hearth out - I didn't try - but otherwise you just have to wait until the flag vanishes.

Oh, and if someone else has planted a flag on a body - even if that flag has disappeared (the flags vanish quicker than the bodies) - you'll get an error message (I found for some reason it varied between "No Target" or occasionally "Out of Range").

This quest is bugged. It does not update the quest as I drove the banners into the corpses. Waste of time.

You don't need to kill them. Just find dead bodies on the ground and use the banners.

There are two entrances to the Fortress. 70,78 should put you right between them. I'm a level 67 Frost mage. I kited some of them out of the entrance to avoid getting jumped by pats and if you go to far and your location switches to "Nagrand" you can still plant a flag in the corpse but you get no credit towards the quest. No biggie but caused a WTF moment when I knew I had a kill and had planted a flag in it only to see the count stay the same.

These are Warmaul ogre banners that I recently acquired.

I want you to travel to Kil'sorrow Fortress, directly south of here, and kill as many of the Kil'sorrow filth as you can find. Drive a Warmaul ogre banner through the heart of each fallen Kil'sorrow soldier. Return to me when you have completed this task and the other that this plan requires.
