The difference between this set and the blue level 70 PvP set was, before patch 2.1:

+975 Armor
+29 Strength
+33 Stamina
+10 Crit Rating
+18 Hit Rating
+3 Resilience (if you count the blue set two piece bonus of +35)

Both sets have the same amount of gem slots.

May want to be noted, that perhaps this set should be tagged as Season 1, as the Season 2 Arena sets will come soon enough.

The season 2 version of this set on the 2.1.2 PTR (as of 6/7/07) offers the following upgrades to the season 1 set:

Regarding the S4 set, this was taken directly from the WoW-Europe forums:

When Season 4 begins, Season 3 items will be reduced in personal and team arena rating requirement to:

Shoulders: 1950
Weapon: 1800

The new Season 4 items will have the below personal and team arena rating requirements:

Shoulders: 2200
Weapon: 2050
Head: 1700
Chest: 1600
Legs: 1550
Gloves: none
Off-hand: none

gladiator is being removed from honor vendors will only be available from tier token's vendor. merciless will take its place on the honor vendors

14 crit rating is 1% crit when you are lvl 60, but when you are lvl 70 you need that 21-22 crit rating for 1% crit. I dunno if i would rather use this set or the doomplate rare dps set...

True the set is stamina heavy as it is and lacks attack power, but with enchants and gems it can be balanced out.

the biggest complaint here: no +agi?
+agi means what for a warrior? Crit chance and dodge.
They put the crit chance into the armor stats, and guess what resilience is kids? no, not dodge.
Resilience is a special new rating which was created to reduce the effects of critical hits against your character. It has two components; it reduces the chance you will be critically hit by x%, and it reduces the damage dealt to you by critical hits by 2x%. x is the percentage resilience granted by a given resilience rating.
Resilience -1% crit, -2% crit dmg 25(to 60) 39.4(70)
So for this set, those of you with calculators:109 res in the set + a set bonus of +35 for 144.
divided by 39.4=3.65
So that means wearing this set, someone attacking you has a -3.65% to crit against you.
It also means that if they do crit, their crit damage is reduced by 7.3%
If someone fighting you normally has a 20% chance to crit, versus you he has only 16-17%
If that same person crits you for 2000dmg based their own stats, amount blocked by armor etc, the amount actually affecting you would be approximately 1840dmg.

The pally vindicator armor gives more str,the lock armor mor sta! And the set duzn't give agi at all. WTF IS THAT!

It's not unfair, its just that Blizz has always hated warriors or the dev that deals with warriors have a sick sense of humor. It was very apparent in the past patches this was the case.

Warrior = No solo, No pvp, No Enjoyment of class superiority whats so ever. Nothing unique whats so ever.

Shild bash nerf (stun does not work on boss but rogues kick can)
Fear nerf (5 char and dots break it)
Arms tree: retaliation nerf (ppl can see it and run away)
Sweeping stike: nerf
Trikets nerf: Mithril insignia 10min to 20min
challenging shout and battle shout 2min or 3min cool down.(sux cox-worse then pally buff)
Thunder Fury nerf- Causing less threat now.
Can generate less threat then damn bears.
Pallies can tank and also heal......and while do more dps then us. They get mount speed boost.
shaman got to dual weild.
Druit gets to fly and etc.
Warlocks gets felgaurd.
mages get a pet.
priest gets a pet.
rogues nearly the same shoe as warriors.(They did get some sort of improve stealth)
hunters nearly the same shoe as warriors.(Tons of pet to choose from thought)

may go on?

What have warriors gotten lately from BC? that even makes them happy? or something neat whats so ever besides more gear to locate.

There are new stats on the sets on the PTR. The chest and legs have +hit added, most of the items have reworked Str, crit and resilience.

The overall picture is like this: Minus a bit of resilience, but added a good amount of +str, +crit, +hit, also some socket bonuses changed (The shoulder one now gives 3 strenght instead of 3 resilience rating)

A skilled player with a warrior can own any other player, when matched evenly with gear. Stop whining, because you don't understand your character enough to do good with it. Warriors are NOT nerfed, in fact the reason why blizz is avoiding making them more powerful is because then other classes would whine because they'd always get murdered in a heartbeat by a warrior.

Every class has it's weakpoint in a fight, but through personal skill you can learn to keep your opponnent from takin advantage of it. Just because a certain class owns you in a specific way, should you cry about it? No! You should grow a brain, learn to counter or prevent it, and !@#$ing destroy them!

To the rest of you who think warriors can't DPS; I constantly out-damage mages and rogues of my level, always have, and probably always will. If you'd like to go check the armory for "proof"; Character name is Adust; Uldum server.

Stop crying because you lost. Go learn to win.

its all about being quick. and its not nearly as difficult as you make it seem.

also, its a RARE occasion that the enemy realizes you have activated spell reflect and reacts.

It's awsome don't get me wrong but compair the New lvl 70 high warlords gear to the gladiators gear. there isnt that much difference (other than amour and a few extra stats). The only other thingdiffer that would make the 2 gears is that you would use better gems and enchants on gladiators over the high warlords.

Other than that the gladaitor gear rocks and looks awsome i am hoping to get my first bit soon

This is a great PVP set and a warrior with it on is a great threat to all oponents. As to the discusso- warriors are a gear dependent class and therefore we start with a disadvantage when we hit 70, but once we start getting better gear we become more and more dangerous. In dueling the only class that warrior doesn't have much chances aginst are mages but besides that if you know how to play your character you should be fine. Stop crying and learn how to play!

You guys embarrass me... Who the ^&*! wants agi for PvP dodging is for tanking...no point in dodging in PvP, if you get full t5 and get agi gems and enchants ill kill you. And for str its plenty with a glad 2h weapon you should be doing enough damage, dont waste gem slots on ap and str. Put a blue +12 stam in every slot for the meta put a 18 stam 5% resist. Enchant bracers and boots with +12 stam and get a 30 stam leg kit. Use Commanding shout and not battle shout. And if you are about to reply and say you cant put a blue gem in a red or yellow socket...hold it...you can put any gem in any socket, but matching sockets gets you the socket bonus
