I think this set is better then the other Gladiator Warlock set (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/itemset=568). I would be totally willing to drop a taf of Int, Stam, and Spell Damage for the massive critical bonus this set gives.

This is more centered around the Destruction Tree. The other warlock set is all damage and no crit, because DoTs cannot crit.

The other set has +18 stamina, +19 intellect, +2 spell dmg, but u lose around 4% crit
Actually I think they should modify these 2 sets, they really seem the same.

I certainly recommend you pick up the gloves on this set if you plan to combine Dreadgear with Felshroud, 50% chance to avoid interruption with FEAR is awesome, and better than avoid interruption with Searing Pain, even more if you're not destruction.

the crit bonus on this set is huge, and it is gained through a nearly negligible loss of other stats (Gladiator's Dreadgear https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/itemset=568#z0z). 18 stamina might seem pretty significant to some, but 6 spell damage and 12 hit souldn't be enough reason to an build to give up 106 crit. sometimes you need burst damage, and shadow bolt crits are nice, even if they are small.

the real reason i think the other set should be considered is the passive chance on gloves to avoid fear interrupts and maybe a second piece of that set so you're getting 2 +35 resilience rating bonuses.

It says on these tooltip that the 4 set bonus is a decrease in cast time to casting Fear. I went to the area 52 arena vendor and this didn' seem to be the case, it was Immolate like the other set. Can anyone else confirm the wowhead tooltips are wrong?

This set is available for honor points and BG marks of honor with the 2.3 patch now on PTR. prices are as follows:

Chest: 14,500 honor and 30 AB marks of honor
Gauntlets: 10,500 honor and 20 AV marks of honor
Helm: 14,500 honor and 30 AV marks of honor
Leggings: 14,500 honor and 30 WSG marks of honor
Shoulders: 11,250 honor and 20 AB marks of honor

I am gonna go with 3 of these en 2 of dreadweave.
since the resllience bonus stacks i think that is better than the 0.2 of fear cast, witch is (in my eyes) a bit usseles.

and i have the freedom to respecc some time :)
if you go for the dreadweave and want to go destro then you'll be stuck with less crit change, and visa versa if you wanna respecc to affli you are stuck with a lot of crit rating witch you can't use.

and i am sure to respecc some time :)

they don't stack only the epic and blue mix match will stack resilience but felshroud and dreadshroud (epic/epic) don't stack. I hope I've saved you from spending thoses honor points and time.

Crit isn't useless as an affliction lock, but I'd rather stack up on hit, or even the random added stats that the dreadweave gives in the place of the +crit rating off of the felshroud set. But also remember that in arenas ur usualy not gonna have a chance to pull of a shadowbolt and hope it crits where as you can dot dot dot los while moving, and drain even out of los, as long as you tagged with the drain before hand.

That's pretty build dependent. Backlash and nightfall allow for insta-cast burst damage so unless you're a tard thats all demonology in pvp you should have quite a few crits with this set.

With the arrival of Season 4, Season 1 gear is no longer purchasable with Honor and Marks. However, you can still purchase these from Karynna on the Isle of Quel'Danas using Tier 4 Tokens. Here is the requirement for each piece in the set:

Raiment: 1 Chestguard of the Fallen Hero
Hanguards: 1 Gloves of the Fallen Hero
Cowl: 1 Helm of the Fallen Hero
Trousers: 1 Leggings of the Fallen Hero
Amice: 1 Pauldrons of the Fallen Hero

If you look closely this robe has a different skin than the other Warlock Gladiator Set! The Robe of this has an ugly graphic bug at the front of the robe, from the waist downwards.

i'll get the otherone anyway... ^^

Im a sm/conflagged spec lock, going to pve after i get the full set, im probably going to get full felshroud, except for the gloves, im going to get dread gloves(for the fear thing). so, thats jus advice, good luck!

Does the gloves equip to have a 50% chance to avoid interruption by dmg while searing paining stack with the Intensity(70%) talent in destruction? plz answer :P

yes it does. u got 120% chance to avoid interruption during casting SP, but imo its better to get 2 parts of Dreadweave set (when u are destro) with dreadweave gloves (better equip bonus) for extra resilence, and then rest of Felweave. It's good for pvp only, pr0 locks make their Frozen Shadoweave Set for pve, and resilence is the most important stat (same as stamina) for pvp ;)

what the hell can a destruction warlock can do with dread set ? no crit at all.
both set was ment to PVP only dread for affliction mainly (more resi less crit) and fel for dest (more crit less resi). stats about th same. no real differance. and dread has more DMG spell on some items but as well - nothing to fancy

91 spell crit points is like 4.5% or dunno exactly.
And better u get the gloves from the other set for fear(-18 crit poits)... it's not that better.
I still prefer it but 4.0%crit...is that much ?

eh.. 4% is a take it or leave it bit with UA spec warlocks =\ as much as I loved the ruin build for massive burst DPS, I really don't look for crit.. my main thing is spell dmg/stam stacking for arena's.. the sooner full or heavy affliction spec warlocks get it through their head that heavy affliction requires 0 crit rating to do decent-heavy dmg, the better off we'll all be.

no offense to ppl who love their crits, but give your head a shake.. if you're UA and you're stacking crit over stam/spell dmg even in arena's.. you gotta problem =|

respec, or try out the massive spell dmg with 0 focus on crit, play a few games to learn your class, and then PVP.

you'll be pleasantly surprised I think.

What would be best for 7/43/11 lock...

I'm thinking 3/5 fel (chest, legs, helm) 2/5 dread, gloves & shoulder. You get crit which is nice for Sbolt & Sburn then fear bonus from gloves. Also +70 resilience total bonus cause of 2 sets. Or is 4/5 fel, 1 dread gloves better for 10 more critrating + 0.2 sec immolate reduce and lose 10 spell hit and 35 resilience?

What do you guys think :) ?

i'd get 2 pieces of dreadgear, gloves and shoulders, and other 3 from felshroud (barely using searing pain, too low dmg for 1.5s cast), so i have 70 resilience instead of 35. the 4 pcs bonus rly sucks compared to 35 resi.
to do the math:
sta: 39+42 + 54+51+54 = 240
int: 25+14 + 15+16+25 = 95
to hit: 12
crit: 18+27+28 = 73
resi: 21+21 + 30+24+30 + 70 = 196
dmg&healing;: 32+32 + 37+32+42 = 175

but the gloves from dreadgear are a must IMO, and a little to hit wouldn't hurt anyway :)

FYI

Many warlocks in the top 50 teams in 5v5 tend to take 2 from 1 set and 3 from another because the resilience from the 2 piece bonus stacks

The +crit chance from this set is also useful for affliction locks as it can significantly affect demon seed explosive dmg, heals from hs, and dmg from shadowbolt proc'd from nightfall, (not forgetting that with 5 points in improved shadowbolt, shadowbolt crits = +20% dmg from dots).
Tho i mostly opt for +spell dmg and stam with my lock, i'm always happy to increase my crit chance.

Information is better than opinion.

35x2 resilience > 0.2secs less when casting immolate

meaning u can skip resilience gems and focus more in dmg/stamina

True, except that you can grab 4/5 dreadgear... get the immolate bonus then grab one piece of Felweave for that bit of crit... cept for a non affli lock, then do the opposite, just get the gloves in Dreadgear.

did they change gloves in last patch it now says at top 50% to ignore interruption caused by damage while casting fear instead of searing pain which most post of been about on this set and the other... so just makeing sure both gloves in each set now have the same 50% for fear..

i good idea i saw someone do iss get 3/5 of the dominet set (like felweave for destro) and get 2/5 the other so then u get both +35 resil set bonuses
