these are the rep pvp sets. They come from PVE reputation, they wanted pve to work into pvp sets, same as they did with arena sets where they became somewhat equivalent to pve.

All outland quartermasters have 1 piece for a set, they only show your own class. Some class's have 2 sets for healing and dps.

Sorry if the link's a little long, but mmo-champion has the entire Savage Plate Battlegear shown in that screenshot, along with stats/required reputation for them. Although it's a little odd that it's showing a human wearing the armor, but the helm has a revered rating with Thrallmar.

The entire set should cost 99g32s68c (Before reductions). Most items sell for 1/4 of their buying price so if you reverse the math thats the amount you get.

It is simply a recolor of the bold set in my opinion. And the onslaught boots (t6) are a poor match for this set...Has anyone seen something from the normal 5 man up there that would match? I haven't looked through the loot of the Sun Well 5 mans yet.

This set has the exact same stats all around as the Grand Marshal's Battlegear so its basically a cheap and fast way to get your newly turned lvl 70 started in arena/bgs without having to grind honor, seeing as its so damn easy to reach honored with any of these factions nowadays.

This set don't counted as others PvP set. So, for instance, if you get 2pieces of Season 1 set and 2pieces of Savage Plate set you will get 2x bonuses for 35 resilence.

Also, I speaked with Game Master about this an his answer was: "Well this is working as it was intended. The set bonuses are only shared between armors of the same type. Ie, the Gladiator sets will share their set bonuses, but will not mix with other PvP items."

Decent items to start with when you hit 70.
Season1 will give

1554 more armor.
47 more strength.
51 more stamina.
29 more melee / ranged crit.
24 more Hit rating.
18 more resilience.

Not that much of a difference, but it's an upgrade.
When season4 comes out, maybe season1 will replace this? :)

this is actually just the exact same stats but it looks different and has a different name and isn't epic, i think its best if you just buy this one and if you have too much honor buy the gladiator's shoulders or head for the look
