These power crystals are found all over Un'Goro Crater, along with the Red, Blue, and Green.

Initially you must turn in seven of each color crystal (red, blue, yellow and green) at the end of the cave right by the camp/fly point in Un'Goro. You will be given a book which will allow you to receive items from the spires. You will need 10 each of 2 colors to collect a Crystal.

Travel to each Pylon to receive your powerful crystal.

Northern Crystal Pylon:

Crystal Charge: 10 Red + 10 Yellow: "Inflicts 383 to 517 fire damage to targets in a 3 yard radius"
Crystal Restore: 10 Yellow + 10 Green: "Heals the target of 670 damage over 15 seconds"

Western Crystal Pylon:

Crystal Ward: 10 Red + 10 Green: "Increases the targets armor by 200 for 30 min"
Crystal Yield: 10 Blue + 10 Red: "Decreases an enemy target's Armor by 200 for 2 min"

Eastern Crystal Pylon:

Crystal Force: 10 Blue + 10 Green: "Increases the targets spirit by 30 for 30 minutes"
Crystal Spire: 10 Blue + 10 Yellow: "A crystal shield surrounds the friendly target. doing 12 damage to anyone who hits him/her. Lasts 10 min."

These Crystals also can be used for Crafting the 'Thorium' Armour Set Recepies in Blacksmithing. Which are a quick and easy way to level Blacksmithing

Ignore the guy saying you can make 50g.... these are way to easy to farm.

sure they're easy to gather, but it's very time consuming, and if you are less than lvl 50 or so, then there are a lot of mobs willing to attack you...

im a 42 druid and i have over 300 of these, i was gathering the fps in un'goro and silithus when i saw these and started farming them. Cause i was such a low level, I just stayed to the edge of the crator and got the most there, i didn't even die once till i got to silithus (damn hunters). so the moral of this comment is. if u want them, stay to the edges of the crater and ull have heaps of them in no time

J.D. Collie is located in the cave at Marshal's Refuge and requires 7 of each crystal to complete a quest (Crystals of Power - see https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=4284/crystals-of-power). The crystals are scattered throughout Un'Goro with heavy concentrations along the crater perimeter. It's a good thing to have farmed the required crystals before speaking with her.

She then sends you out on another quest to find the 3 pylons:

Northern: 57,12
Western: 23,59
Eastern: 78,51

She rewards you with a book (Crystal Pylon User's Manual) which tells you which pylons turn which combinations of crystals into what. You DO NOT need the book to use the pylons at this point but you can keep it as reference.

The pylons convert combinations of 2 different color crystal stacks of 10 into various goodies. A good list is given here: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=2956/report-on-the-defias-brotherhood

I made a gold off these by traveling in places I shouldn't have been at lvl 40. Weeee!
