First buy Bait from Gregan Brewspewer, he's in feralas (at the first o in "The twin colossals" if you look at the map, or 45,25)

then follow the main road to the north and after the big mountain there's a small temple/ruin to the west, place the ham at the bottom of the stairs and go inside and take the Evoroot, return to Gregan

There is a part in the linken quest chain where you must drink this at the tanaris gy, you will die, but no durability loss or w/e, then you have to run north to the hills and you will find a guy where you must end the quest.
you can only see him if you are dead, that is why it kills you.

If you try to use this anywhere else but in the Tanaris graveyard, you get a "Requires Gadgetzan Graveyard" error message, so this can't be abused.

Just as a note, im not 100% sure, but a warning to people on this quests, if you happen to have Noggenfogger Elixir in you bags and take a drink of one it will use one of your Videre Elixir Aswell.

I am not 100% sure, but i did take one when i was questing in felwood before i went to Gadgetzan (I had 3 off the quest at the time) to do the next step in the quest line and took a Noggenfogger Elixir and i only had 2 left in my stack.

You have two elixirs handy for yourself, I guess it's in case you panic after the first one or screw it up.
If you succeed the quest with your first elixir, just delete the second one...or use it :D

Yes, this potion allows you to see dead people... all the time.

Unfortunately, it's less of a "Sixth Sense" type of seeing dead people, and more of a "Heaven's Gate" seeing dead people.

I tried it 2x in the Tanaris Graveyard and it just kills you. I don't see any dead people...

Just as a heads up, you dont need bait to do this. You just goto the backside and jump in the crack :)

Dont need a mount either, although its easier with your mount

First, before getting this item you should have the quest "Videre Elixir".

You need to go to Feralas and speak with Gregan (42,26), he is a dwarf camped out on a hill near the elite stone giants.

He will tell you about the elixir, and then you must talk to him again and purchase bait. Go north to find Miblon Snarltooth (44, 11) a non-hostile gnoll. Use the bait and then click on the ground in front of him to drop it, and the wall behind him will open up and allow you access to the herb you need to give to Gregan to make the elixir.

Now go back to Gregan, and he will whip up a batch of the elixir for you.

Why use this in the graveyard? Because then you only have to go straight north in order to find the guy you need to talk to.

What I want to know is once you do the "ghost" quest, do you need these anymore. I guess Gregan gave me three, I used two for the quest and now have 1 left over. Should I just junk it?

Has anyone tried using this potion to be able to see the ghost vendor at Scholomance and buy the Major Mana Potion recipy? If so, let us know! Gonna try it when I get to that point in this quest.

It doesn't work anywhere but the Gagetzan gravyard. I have tried. It doesn't let you "SEE" dead people, it kills you, and as we all know when your dead you can see other dead NPCS/Players. end of story. It's for the quest and thats it.

i've already completed this quest, and the vendor won't sell me bait anymore, i've been to the crack, and tried to get through it, but havn't had any luck.

Just an FYI:
"Videre" is the latin imperative for "see" or "look" (think "video" which is something you look at). Like "look at this" is an imperative command.

So basically its an 'elixir that makes you see'.

I see dead people. Theyre everywhere!

I just used the elixir in the tanaris graveyard, it killed me and i went north to find the spirit. However, he did not do anything for me, just asked me to leave him alone, and gave me the option to say "good bye"
What do i have to do to see the dead people?

Hmmm...

In my time on zapping through thottbot, there's a quest where you need to speak to a ghost. And by being dead is the only way to speak to him, and earlier it's said that it 'kills you' without ruining gear. Well, this could be a way of doing that quest.

Sadly I can't remember which it is. Someone might.

The quest in BRD is Dark Iron Legacy. You cannot cross continents in ghost form. You just get sent back to the graveyard. The elixir only works in Tanaris.

The quest you eventually use this for is A Grave Situation
Don't bother using it before you actually have the quest, the quest mob has nothing for you until then.

I'm having some issues... I used the potion in the graveyard, and i went north to the ghost, but all he said was "Leave an old spirit be." am I too low level? I'm a 48 druid, so, please tell me waddup :P

Yes, it will kill now but you must be the ghostform to talk to the ghost in Tanaris graveyard as part of the Linken's questline. So this is intended.

This is for the quest "Meet at the Grave." Drink it in the Graveyard in Tanaris, and run North to 53,23 to speak with the ghost. Then run back to the graveyard and rez. It does not cause durability loss.

Just a heads up, but if you are on the quest you need this item for, and someone kills you - you lose one of the potions. %^&*ing stupid IMO but that's poor Blizzard design for you. You only get three of these things, so make sure you don't get ganked 3 times before you get there

You don't need to buy bait from the Dwarf. You can jump into the little temple thingy (where the quest item is) from the back ledge and the crack in the wall. It's a bit tricky but I did it thinking that's what you were supposed to do. I actually spoke to the dwarf (and realized there was supposed to be bait) after.

HC check: This quest is "relatively" safe.

Spoiler:

You dont die, but your health drops to almost zero. So if someone is playing there and having mobs around the grave area (OBVIOUSLY on purpose) they might attack you with colleteral damage and THEN you die. So be prepared and look out if you are alone. Eat or use a pot right after you clicked on the quest item to regain health. You have enough time to visit the quest NPC. Lvl 40 something mobs are at the quest NPC, so even if youre way higher, they can still attack and kill you, if you just have something like 200 hps.

You have been warned.

Edit: just to clarify. This applys to the altered quest version on HC servers. On normal servers with HC addon: its over. Dont do this quest there. If anyone is still using it.
