1) The first thing you need to do before you can obtain any Night Dragon's Breath, Wipper Root Tuber, Windblosson Berries, or Songflowers is to complete a quest to so you can cleanse them.

2) After this quest is completed you will then need to collect Cenarion Plant Salve's to be able to cleanse the plants you find. There are several different ways to do this.

3) Once you have collected several Corrupted Plant Salves, you are ready to start farming. I have listed the four types of plants and links to where they are.

- Requires 4x Cenarion Plant Salves and you will obtain 3-10 from each plant

- Requires 2x Cenarion Plant Salves and you will obtain 15-20 from each plant

- Requires 1x Cenarion Plant Salves and you will get a buff that gives you 5% spell crit and +5 to all attributes for 1 hour.

I suggest getting a mod called "Felwood Gather" if your want to farm these. You can find it on all the mod sites and it's great for timing the respawns for you and mapping them out so you know exactly where to go and when they will respawn.

if you can't find them, they were probably already looted and have to wait for respawn.

These are quick to get, go to Shadow Hold in Jaedenar, then go down into the hold a bit, there should be a lady in a cage, kill the mobs around here till a key is dropped, start this quest, then escort her through the hold, just doing the quest I got about 15 Corrupted Soul Shards, just from the escorting in the hold.

You will need 4 of these for the Libram of Constitution quest ( https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=4481 ). If you are lucky you can get that amount from a single plant since drop rate is 3-7 per.

If you can see the plant in front of you and you've done the quest to get the salves, but are unable to grab the plant, keep this in mind. Once the plant is picked, it goes through a replenishing cycle...I heard it was 15 minutes or so which is probably pretty close. Just wait next to the plant until you can select it.

Ok, I have not completed this yet but I found some info at another place.

The locations appear correct, I ran around for 2 and a half hours and didn't find anything. I logged out next to where one should spawn, today I logged in and found one but I was not able to loot it. It appears that once it spawns, someone comes by and cleanses it and the flower stays there till it despawns. It can only be cleansed once per spawn. I hear every 25 minutes it should come back.

There is also a quest you have to do before this to get the beacon. This NPC for alliance is south of the "mini town" area which you can see from the road. She has a quest where you have to go to the cavern and kill some elementals gone wrong, need 15 of that item, return it to her then you can do the next two parts of the quest. MAKE SURE to get the beacon from her after you complete the quest before you try and collect the items.

You then collect the corrupted shards from ANY random mobs, I just did the mobs west of the alliance camp since they are lvl 48-49 and I can take on a few at a time. Get 12 shards, return back and turn them in twice. Now when you find the plant and it needs to be cleansed you should use 4 Cenarion Plant Salve, not 2 which you should have if you got 12 shards.

the quest giver is: Arthandris Silversky

He is all the way south of the path in Felood by a tree. If you are heading south he will be on the left. He gives you the Beacon necesary to cleanse the corrupted plants. With this you can get the necessary regeants for the Librams Quests.

Hi guys, just to cleaar up, you may well pass these plants without ever knowing it! if they have been farmed you wouldnt be able to select them until the plant spawn cycle finishes. throughout the whole time the plant is visible, its a "little shop of horrors" look alike, i have stored the pic here so you can see what it looks like for yourself:

i got 11 night dragon breath from 2 picks! i think i only used 3 plant salve too ! while i was next to the plant writing this article a shaman named ootadabun on sunstrider ganked me! Cheers dude!

I have managed to create 4 lesser arcanum of constitution items for myself. The gathering of the Night Dragon's Breath is definitely the crap shoot though. I found the plant two days in a row right behind a Hell---- tent. Oddly the plant was already cleansed - I didn't need to use cleansing salve. In total I collect 19 of the Night Dragon's Breath items.

Went back to the location today - no plant anywhere to be found.

Sometimes people simply clense the plants but have no space to collect, this is bad for them as the gear disappears, but good for others! If you find this MAKE SURE TO HAVE SPACE IN YOUR INVENTORY! I have done this a few times where I open a cleansed plant and it says inventory full skips and I cannot reopen either. It's a big pain....especially when you have to go looking around for more, so keep that in mind!

It happens pretty randomly, sometimes when you cleanse and collect it automatically puts the item in your bag, or it goes through the quest completion bubble, either way be prepared.

i found one at location 50,30 i am now camping the plant to see if i can pick agian will post update... ohh and by the way i looked in this location the night before tried 3 times never saw plant not sure what blizz has done to change this cause today the plant is there

Ok, I've farmed these plants for ages, here are the facts:

--How to pick them up--

You have to do a quest first:

The Blood amber can be found from the mobs in the cave in the north of felwood.

--After completing the quest--

After that you can turn in 6 Corrupted Soul Shards in for 2 Cenarion plant salve. You get Corrupted Soul Shards from killing normal mobs in Felwood. You can also turn in things based on your profession, for instance if you have mining you can turn in 4 Tainted Vitriol for 2 Cenarion plant salves.

Red dot: Night Dragon's breath
Yellow dot: Wipper Root Tuber
Purple dot: Windblosson Berries
Pink dot: (forgot the name) Buff which gives you 5% spell crit and 5 attributes or something for an hour.
Green dot: The quest giver.

Night Dragon's breath cost 4 Cenarion Plant Salves to open, Wipper Root Tuber cost 3 Cenarion Plant Salves to open, Windblosson berries cost 2 Cenarion Plant Salves to open, the buff plant cost 1 Cenarion Plant Salve to open.

--About the plants--

These plants have 25 minutes Cooldown, not approximately, but really 25 minutes. You can find 3-10 Night Dragon's breath out of one plant, and 3-10 Wipper Root Tuber out of one plant. And alot Windblosson Berries (15-20 or something). If your inventory is full you can pick them up but you won't get any plant. The plant will be despawned and you have to come back in 25 minutes. If you come back after 25 minutes you don't have to pay Cenarion Plant Salve anymore, you can just pick them up for free, but if you wait to long, or forget to pick them up after 25 minutes, it cost you the Cenarion Plant Salve again.

--Great Addon--

This addon is a great helper. Gives you a warning too, for instance: "Night dragon's breath spawns in 4:59 Minutes in Jadefire glen". You need this addon if your farming these plants alot. If you open your map, you can see the plants on your map with the cooldowns, these cooldowns are only showed after picking up a plant.

--Extra info--

These plants (Wipper root and Night Dragon breath) have diffrent cooldowns! They both have 1 minute cooldown and can be used both at the same time. But in Patch 1.11 they are gonna change this, they then have the same cooldowns, and instead of 1 minute now, they have 2 minutes cooldown. A big nerf. If you use the Windblossom berries you get the +10 stamina buff instand.

This is everything I can tell you guys, don't beleve the other noobs, I'm 100% sure about this.

I agree with kpedx, people farm these items. If the plant you're after isn't there, move on to the next location. Why would anyone sit there and wait at one location for one item to respawn when you can easily move on to the next location?

Maybe I'm the guy that just put forth the effort to work a little to farm these items and you're the person sitting in front of the plant Alt-Tabbed and AFK while I come up and grab it.

Just like in real life, getting something good takes some effort. The benefits of these items are big, that's why they may be a little difficult getting them. Emphasis on little. Spending an hour in Felwood will keep you equipped for weeks if used wisely.

checked all spawn points sevral times.

i found these in all the locations stated. and funny thing is i had to wait 15-25minutes for them to respawn but other times I went to the next location and within 5minutes they had respawned. I don't know if there is a set respawn time or if it is jst random.

I tried the felwood gather addon today and it works perfectly, i tested this on the jaednar spawn, and it had exactly a 25minute respawntime. Also, someone had already been there and cleansed the plant, so i could just loot it, for 6 the first time, 3 the other time.

WORKS ONLY AT NIGHT! you wont be able to see the plant in the day.

Interesting that no one has pointed out (at least i didnt see any refrence to this) that if your on the HORDE side, you cannot talk to the night elf druid that most sources will tell you the quest for the night dragons breath, you have to find a taurn druid located at 46,83 to start the chain, for people with out cords its just north of the sancuary where the road takes a hard right...shes located to your left down of the road.

cleansing the flower takes 4 salves.

when i looted the flower after it was cleansed i got 5 dragon's breath. :] hope that helps some people cuz i was confused on how to do this at first

Okay, In order to get this plant you must finish Cleansing Felwood (obtainable at level 48)

for horde its at Maybess Riverbreeze (47,83)

for alliance its Arathandris Silversky (54, 86)

The quest requires you to get Blood Amber from elementals in Northern Felwood, they should drop every time. The elementals are around 52-55.

after you recieve 15 of these Blood Ambers, return to either quest giver and they will have another quest after you turn in called Salve Via Hunting, this quest requires you to get 6 corrupted soul shards.( found these to drop much easier off of the Jaedenar around 39,59.)

from Salve Via Hunting for each 6 corrupted soul shards you turn in you get 2 Salves that you need to use on the plant. (the plant requires 4 of these salves, or 12 corrupted shards.)

When i used on the plant it became cleansed and i got 5 night dragon breaths.

(i found the plant on the top mark on the map screenshot above.)

Found one at 50,30 and it was 6pm server time. So that eliminates the "Can only be seen at night" theory. And I got 6 Night Dragon's Breath after cleansing it.

I am standing on the north end of the Green pool/fountain in Jaedenar at lok 35,58 and I can't see the Nightd Dragon's plant. I have searched all around the entrance to the cavern and I still don't see it. Anyone help me?

Also, the one that is supposed to be in Irontree woods, at the broken down area with columns doesn't show. I was under the impression that they stayed visible, but weren't clickable. I did see one and couldn'nt click it, but that was at the low left spawn point closest to the Felwood entrance. That is the only one that I have found thus far.

Spent a few hours tonight but could not find any. I have farmed them before with not much effort, and at least I would find the plants. It seems using those maps and felwoodgatherer addon I can no longer even find the plants that have them, let alone camp/loot them. Whipper Root, Windblossom Berries and all the rest still work but not this. Did anything change?

I wish the damn +100 hp used something else..

EDIT: Seems it must have been a bug. Logged in this morning after maintenance and I could see the plants fine, in the same places I was looking for them.

It looks like they just don't disappear when someone loots them is why they can't be clicked. The one I just got is still sitting here.

the quest lead in to get the save is: Cleansing Felwood;

That picture makes you think it's normal size, in truth this plant is quite large and hard to miss (it glows and is atleast as tall as a dwarf!).
Also each of these plants take 4 saves each i think, strangly the one i looted in Jaedenar did not need any save(!) both times i looted it (about 20 min betwine the loots). I think it may have something to do with how long they sit there that they need save, not sure. Either way it took 3 of these plants to get my 10 for the quest (ended up with 12..)

Also that map is spot on though i could only find 2 of the ones on it :\

It seems that after you apply the cenarion plante salve only way to loot the plants is waiting for plant to be cleansed (i've waited 20 mins so that i can loot the night dragon's breath) can you confirm that or was bugged (as usual)?

Why would anyone waste the 25 mins it takes to camp these? The amount of mana/health they give back is laughable. I realize they're on a different timer than potions but as a healer with 5k+ mana pool, that isn't even worth 5 seconds of my time to down it.

if you look on your map and count the small ponds up from very south. The 4th being a river that goes under path. That river at very south tip go directly west and will find it. It will be behind the a large tree near the zone wall

cleansed one of these tonight. The cleansed plant was available to loot right away. Once looted the plant was still visable but no longer mouseable. As an experiment I came back in 20 mins and lo-and-behold it became mouseable and lootable again. I was able to score twice off of one cleansing!

If you can't mouse over it and it is green in color it is in the process of "cleansing". You have to wait about 20 minutes or so for it to finish before you can loot it. I suggest going to find another to cleanse while you wait or just hang out.

These are all of the spawns, they won't ever be changed. The respawn timer is 25 minutes, to cleanse them you either need to pick herbs or kill mobs and turn them into the materal which is used to cleanse the plant. You must have the Cenarion Beacon to be able to loot the material.

Just picked up 9 of 'em from 2 plants tonight.

The correct coords for all 4 plants:

40,78 North of Jadefire Glen
35,58 Jaedenar
50,30 Irontree Woods
42,13 Jadefire Run

Check out the maps that are posted to give you the general idea, then use coords to home in. Happy Hunting :)

For classic I farmed a stack of these only to find out it shares a cooldown with mage mana gems. I imagine it’s the same for health stones.
