Easily the best place to farm this stuff would be the cave northwest of Brackenwall Village in Dustwallow Marsh. There are tons of Darkmist Recluses, Darkmist Lurkers, and Darkmist Spiders outside and in the cave, and no other mobs around. Drop rates are fairly good, and they respawn very quickly. Clear outside, then go in the cave and clear that and by the time you leave they're all back.

I was getting about 1 meat per minute in Swamp of Sorrows off the Deathstrike Tarantulas as a 70 Rogue. You have to run a bit but the drop rate is pretty good. Not 50% though but still good.

EDIT: Just went to Dustwallow where the above posters said. Great place to farm. I was getting about 2-3 per minute. After about 10-15 minutes the zone was prettymuch dead so I left for a few minutes to let it respawn then went at it again.

I found some low level 40 darkfang spiders in Dustwallow Marsh at 39,55. The area around these coords can be farmed for white spider meat.

Best place to find WSM as a lv35 pally? I got my cooking to 219 and I'm so close...Spider Sausage is the only orange recipe for me so i really need to find some easy WSM

Farming here with my pallie to get my cooking up this place as we speak and have killed A LOT of these things and have barely gotten any White Spider Meat. Drop rate sucks in this place. Is there a better place to get this meat?

find the spiders along the mountians near the blasted lands area..they drop the meat about every 4th spider..think they r called death strike spiders

Dustwallow Marsh. You get about 1-2 stacks per hour of farming, probably more but I was also trying to level up there, so I spent a portion of time on other creatures.

Every 3rd spider seems to drop it though.

Great place for spider meat, shadow silk, and leveling from 38-43

The Darkmist Cavern both inside and out are the best places to get the meat. I have only been there 20 or 30 mins and have 2 stacks of the stuff. If you're not having any luck, it may just not be your day to farm :D

It says merchant sell price - but doesn't list merchants that will sell it? Does anyone know who sells this item and where?

the price is WAY off on this item, merchant buy price is 1.12 silver each.

EDIT: also, I found this meat from spiders in the Swamp of Sorrows with a group of 4 low 30's.

A really good darkfang creeper location can be found in Dustwallow Marsh around 39,55. I roamed around t hat area for almost 2 hours and got 1.5 stacks of meat.

OK, just to clarify, the vendor doesn't actually sell White Spider Meat. The trainer teaches a recipe that uses the meat (Spider Sausage) and cooking trainers in any major city teach this recipe.
