Despite the drop-rate percentages listed, I found it far, far easier to farm for these in The Hinterlands. After doing a bit of research I found that the wolves do not share a spawn zone with other animals, unlike the different Plaguehounds within the Eastern Plaguelands. They're also easier to kill.

u can now buy the recipe tender wolf steak from the butcher in gadgestan (inside the inn)u need level 225 cooking (and level 40 to eat it) so a good time to get it is when u get the quest for 225-300 cooking

Any1 know where the best place to farm the meat is? On wow-europe forum it stands that felwood is the best place, but I'm not sure I agree.

Best place i found was in Tanaris. Hyenas drop a good ammount.

A good place to get these is by killing the Hyenas/Rapid Blisterpaws in Abyssal Sands, Tanaris near Gadgetzan. Cords for those lucky ppl to have them is 44, 51

The Longtooth Runner wolf in feralas seems to drop it a lot

the silvermane wolfs in The Hinterlands drops $%^&loads too

for alliance: start at the northern FP in felwood....make your way down to the southern end killing all the wolves you pass...fly back up north and they're all respawned. i got about 30 per run. i followed the eastern side most the way, there are quite a few a long the mountains east of irontree woods, the rest of the way down follow the road

Best place of all is in Tanaris, as a few previous people said. Go to the middle of Tanaris, to the area called The Abyssal Sands. The Blisterpaw Hyenas, Starving Blisterpaws, and Rabid Blisterpaws all have great drop rates.

Go near the big skeleton/bone thingies. There are always big groups of the hyenas there!

Just been in hinterlands and they must have changed the drop rates. I have been at it 10mins and ive got 7 already. That's over 50% drop rate just on random wolves.

Pretty neat because I'd calculated I'd need to kill 200 of them on the above rates

Interlands is incorrect the silvermanes drop red wolf meat not tender wolf meat

The best source for these: go to BRD, kill the dogs (There are some to the left, down the long hallway with the packs of 5, and also straight ahead, in the jail area.)

Truk Wildbeard, Wildhammer Keep, The Hinterlands sells it for 1g 20s (with reputation modifiers)

Dirge Quikcleave, The Inn, Gadgetzan, Tanaris also sells this for 1g 20s.
