Be prepared for an extremely long farm. There are only 6 scarlet cavaliers in all of WoW (Mardenholde Keep), 2 of which patrol inside the keep(1 in each floor) and the other 4 are linked to a nasty elite in the 2nd floor (Highlord Taelan Fordring).

As a 60 I only killed the 2 patrollers and waited for them to respawn but maybe as a 70 in good gear you can kill the other 4 as well.

I dropped them yesterday after killing about 30 Cavaliers...

I won't reexplain the tactic to get a maximum of the six mobs (see above), but I found out something whats help :)

I think everybody knows about the quest in which ou have to get a picture in sholomance and then disguise yourself to escort the général (the one who is link to the 4 cavaliers)...

So: if u have friends who have to make that quest, or if u see somebody who is doing it, just be aware because once somebody begins the escort ALL the 5 mobs disapear (general +4 cavaliers). Then (after about 5 min.), the cavaliers will repop ONCE at ONE ! so u can kill them without difficulty. The général repops at last, so no problem.

I don't know if it will help somebody, but personely I was very lucky and in 3hours of farm 3 guys made this quest, so it made 12 bonus cavaliers for me :)

Has anyone seen this drop in classic yet? Been farming it for a while with no luck. I'm getting slightly worried it doesn't exist as it doesn't appear in AtlasLoot...

Edit:
They do drop! Took about 200 kills but got them in the end. Not sure why they don't show up on AtlasLoot.

Binds when picked up

So forget about farming these with your alt lock/mage for hours....as i did

After much killing and a lot of doubt, i finally got it (400+ kills)
If you have two accounts you can be in party with your alt (in disguise) and login every 25 minutes ish to kill the 5 on the top floor.
By being in group you should get loot from the mobs the quest NPC kills.
