This potion is the IWIN potion for priests and warlocks. If you don't like either of those two classes, then keep a few of these pots on hand.

It's said that Priests can dispell this potion. Warlock Felbeasts may also be able to devour the buff. So a good Priest or Warlock would have likely dispelled you once or twice. That'd suck. But at the very least, it'll either absorb a good nuke and some DOT damage, or buy you a few seconds as your opponent dispells it.

since u gotta goto lowbie places and farm 4 fadeleafs and 4 grave moss, tip;
scarlet monastery. go into the library and graveyard places and get the herbs there.
(think it's library? the two places without doors in front of 'em anyway.. first and last part if u may.)
Library (furthest right entrance) has a fadeleaf in the beginning, at the yard with beastmasters and their doggies.
Graveyard almost always has 2-3 grave moss, sometimes kingsblood aswell, sometimes only a whole lotta kingsblood. but since that's used for thorium point rep it's a win-win situation.
reset and repeat.

I am a lvl56 Mage and used to drink the normal Shadow Protection pots a lot.

Should I continue using the normal ones which absorb 675 to 1125 shadow damage, or shall I drink the great ones?

Yes beware because during a fight it will be likely that I will waste a 6 gold potion just so that my ego isn't dented.

Actually this potion is great for tanks in BWL and for everyone on nefarion incase a fear gets screwed up and he shadow flames everyone

Of all greater protection potions I think this one is the most expensive. The thing is it's mat can be found in around level 20-45 areas, while it's most likely for naxx and BWL as far as I know.

Surprised this hasn't been posted yet; these pots are essential for Loatheb in Naxx.
Will need to drink one of these every time they are off cooldown.
