I got this drop in 2 hours of farming the mageweavers, they respawn with the others so you might have to kill some others around Mazthoril. Also, watch out for Spellmaw the elite dragon that wanders the area.

Me and a mage buddy went farming these dragons, and got four of these recipies in a row! We were actually kind of miffed, and I ended up getting three of them(He was DC'd for one) and when I went back to Orgrimmar, I sold them like hot cakes. 20-25g was my price per, but they were on AH for 30-50g. Quite a nice find after a farming session I might say.

Ive been looking for 3 days so far on dalaran! AHHH im going crazy...Im a druid, so I cant take these guys alright 1 on 1, it just takes a long time...yesterday (2days my 3rd day) my friend who is a hunter did it with me like all day...still nothing

Got mine after killing 5 mageweavers. Seemed like there weren't that many of the mageweavers, although I think there were others farming them too.

If the listed drop rate is correct, the price for this recipe shouldn't sell for anything near 50g. At a 2-3% drop rate, you should statistically get one every 30 to 50 kills. I would never pay more than 10g for this. Max.

I farmed these mobs on 2 seperate occassions, and got it after roughly 3 hours combined farming all the dragonkins in the area, the pattern for Robe of Winter Night dropped off the same mob... it vendors for 50 silver =\

i got three of these and a schematic: arcanite dragonling while i was farming for my sinew for my epic quiver, sadly no sinew yet.

I have killed many of all types for Blue Dragonscales over the past few months and the only 2 things I have to say dropped, were the Schematic: Arcanite Dragonling and the Recipe: Robe of Winter Nights, which sells for alot more then 50sp on Hyjal server. I have not come across this Recipe yet, but it doesnt mean that I will not sooner or later. The drop rate is much less then 1.5% I am sure of that lol....Darkplague MHW...........

I found one today off of one of the Blue Dragonkins that are in a cave I believe called Dun Mandarr. I was helping out some guildies do a quest in there and I happened to had won the roll. No idea how often these drop since it was my first time in there but it was the only one that dropped.

Killed about 10 after falling into their place looking for Black Lotus and got this ^&*! so far...

1x Recipe: Greater Arcane Protection Potion
1x Thorium Lockbox
1x Pattern: Robe of Winter Night

Damn BoP pattern, my friend's mage coulda used this.

Still drops of Cobalts..had three drop when i went searching for this to complete set..plus Dragonling Schematic too...some greens and decent money for Winterspring...anyone needs one on Annachronos in next few days...lemme know...Horde-Mollybog-Body Count

For anyone looking for this as of December 2007, its a fairly common drop now. I killed about 10 of the mageweavers or whatever and had 4 drop for me today, happy hunting!

umm...i got 8 of these while trying to get the shematic for dragonling, farmed for about 1 hour 30 min...weird that it takes days for other people to get >_<

I looted this recipe from a Solid Chest about a week ago in Swamp of Sorrows.
I beg to differ that the drop is 'static' - admittedly, the drop rate would be significantly higher off Cobolt Mageweavers compared to chests and lockboxes.

i got 4 robe of winter night pattern already but there is only 1 arcane pattern drop, they must hav the percentage wrong

i got Arcan dragon in 2 kills about 30 kils after Blue Sinew sold that for 390g kept dragon then about 10 kills got this crap

killed about 80 of them and the recipe didnt drop...only dropped medailon of marshal morris and some green craps...have no luck:o(

Got this from my first mageweaver kill. Was a 54 mage at the time hoping for a pattern: Robe of winter's night!

I got about 8 of these altogether farming these dragons, they sell from about 20-65g on my server so not to bad when you find.
Last night though, i killed one mob, got this recipe, killed a mob after him and got some crappy green, and killed a 3rd mob and got another one of these recipes. So far thier in AH for 40g start, one has a bid for 60g (so a bit of nice gold), just waiting for the other to gain a bid, so it's 100g+. :D

I was farming these guys for the Blue Sinew last night before maintenance and got 3 in 7 min :)... 1st kill drop, 2nd kill drop, 4th kill drop... wow

I went to winterspring to get the arcanite dragonling schematic which drops from the same mob...

i got 4 of those in 3 hours of farm... and no dragonling yet T_T

I have killed the dragons for the recipe for few hours now and in that time I've gotten a arcanite dragon schematic and 2 mature dragon sinew ( sinew are from the other dragons I think ), still no recipe.
