for a 57 rare sheild it is ugly as hell, if they are gonna make a good shield liek this at least make it pimp looking

That's the best one I've heard this month... tell another one!

Seriously, this is a decent PvE shield, and the best one in the game for 3 fights (Lucifron, Gehennas, Sulfuron). Other than those 3 fight Rhombeard Protector and Observer's Shield are on par with it... In PvP, Sacred Protector IS THE WAY.

I wears this shield in my entire MC run. Since I'm not expected to hit anything bigger than Firelord's Minion (and then only to keep the add's attention), any shield that gives +int helps.

I was a raid leader (pally) and i let the warrior have this even though it has intellect, his arguement for taking it was that it had armor... I dont think I'm going to make that mistake again.

Yes, agreed. This is an ugly shield, and I really dislike it. I love the stats, but it's disappointing in appearance. One would think that a Scholomance mini-boss would drop a nicer looking shield.

I have this shield, way nice, got it and got my coif of elements in 2 runs. I like it, but way to damn small, looks funny on a tauren

This is good for Zul'Gurub. Many bosses, like the Snake, mainly use Shadow dammage. I'm a shamy and i've got the Deflector for MC/pvp and Rhombeard or whatever-its-spelt fot most pve. But Shadow is good in Zul.

wow it has shadow resist, how cool... i mean, cmon, which of the main tanks doesnt have draconian deflector or drillborer in mc? T_T

This shield is not all that..If you are a paladin/shammy I suggest you go get https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=38455 from maraudon..wich is way better for your pre-ZG/MC/BWL etc gear..And warriors..dont even think about using this.This sucks for you even more then for me as a paly.This is either vendor trash or DE material.

as a shammy who has abandoned the Elemental tree, in favor of resto/enhancement spec, i must say that this little guy did me great for a long time. The stats are as good if not better than anything sort of the HIGH end Raid sheilds, while yes it is rather ugly it does go well with the elements gear for the Elemental shammies out there. Over all for the casual player this is a great sheild that drops semi regularly (atleast it did before 1.10, not so sure now) and will carry most shammies for quite a while.

i ran scholo a while ago and killed rattlegore. the shield dropped, im a pally btw. anyways my group let the warrior have it since the shield he had b4 was Aegis of scarlet. now i wish he hadnt gotten it now since i need a new shield.

Well, this just dropped for me last night. Nice stats and the SR is going to be handy, although admittedly it doesn't look particularly impressive.

I've been using the sacred protector for quite a while now, and I'm really not sure which one of the two I'll be using more regularly from now on. I'll probably go with the RC for scholo/strat, but as for any of the other 5/10 man instances, well, I'll have to have a think about that.

I also have that shield I like the stats but why SHADOW RESISTANCE! I am not going to do Scholo or strat 100 times! Draconian Bucler is way better cause it have fire resistance! And it's a ugly shield!

except for ragnaros and lavapack, shadow resist might be more important than fire resist, to avoid lucifron's mind control, magmadar's fear, gehenas's shadow damage and sulfuron's priest attacks.

and shadow resist is good for pvp for the same reasons. warlock will hate you for having much shadow resist...

Seriously wth? Y does this have a skull on it? I was gettin all excited to farm scholo to get this shield as my tank shield, until I saw that NASTY design and also before I got Barrier Shield I gotta admit ain't bad for a support tnk shield :) but I think Rattlecage Buckler is still beter :'( Ahh well, hard ot find a good shield that looks cool that isn't epic, nowadays..../sigh

I'm using this at the moment. Not as good as sacred protector but heck, its almost the same thing and has resistances so I'm not bothering with the questchain. One thing tho, its ugly as hell. The basic small round flat buckler with a small stupid looking skull painted on it. Doesn't look endgame, not at all.

Until ragnaros shield ;)
