After Blizzard finally fixed the bug that now lets crit strike % with spells work with heals, this ring could find 2 new worthy owners....

The Faction Only hybrid classes...

A Paladin or a Shaman with a high enough crit strike % with spells could work wonders for healing if built towards that, Paladins would be getting reliable free heals while the shaman would be giving 25% extra armor to the tank, with about 16% chance to crit (doable) he could spam ILHW until OOM and with luck keep the warrior with that bonus the entire duration... (1.5s cast +1sec global cooldown= 6 LHW casteable during the entire run of the Ancestral Healing talent, 1/6= 16.7 % chance required in theory)... For a paladin it would also help with their smaller mana pool...

Traut, Holy Paladins crit spells have their mana refunded so they are free. So +crit is extremely useful for them.

This ring is totally perfect for a druid. I've got 6% increased crit with spells on my 60 druid. And doesn't it show whenever i'm out solo'ing and even times in MC when we're so full on healers and paladins i'm sitting there twiddling my thumbs if i'm not DPSing. Go to WPL and take any random undead, smack it with crit starfire backed by crit moonfire and follow up with roots and the mob dies without touching you. And oddly enough crits seem to flow in tandem so often whenever i crit starfire i crit moonfire. Kinda sux when i don't want to pull agro, but drops things dead when i just want the dmg.

How to get 6%:
neck from DM drop, gloves from DM tribute quest, cenarion legs, trinket w/ 2%
+ this ring

All that plus a bag of chips.

As a balance druid with max improved starfire, i'm critting for about 1200 on average and have seen crits into the 1750 range. My actual crit rate is well over 12% by now on starfire alone. (before you start flaming i'm 33/0/18 so i'm not all balance and no use healing , plus i'm the top healing druid in my guild on MC runs often times beating out priests). If you're a resto druid and you've got the bonuses to crit by 50% on regrowth i can only imagine that every heal from you with another 6% would be most certainly a crit as regrowth is our #1 used heal.

got this last night on my druid, outrolling priests, mages, warlocks and hunters alike. One of the priests hsed, blatantly only there for that item. My stats showed that he had managed to do a mighty 12% of the healing up to that point.

Is this really a 0.6% drop rate? People in my guild see it so much I should get it on my rogue. :P My brother saw it on his first and second UBRS runs (and hasn't run many more since), I got it for my mage on my second, our warlock got it on her first... Seems more like a 30-50% drop to me. :P

as a warlock i just got outrolled by 2 holy priests from guild in a guild-only run.... &*!@ing stupid "we need for pvp" yeah right go pvp with your greater heals... they would be better off getting +healing items... one of the priests even argued the mana regen is nice... lol /cry

This, and Seal of Rivendare would be heaven for my lvl 60 mage and my lvl 58 priest.

It is true that crit heals can risk taking the aggro off the tank.. But can't the precise thing happen for mages/warlocks? (at least has happened for me) Crit heals can save players from the brink of death and help you preserve mana. Plus the mp5 is very useful. Though I agree this is not a PvP item

Priests, warlocks, mages, shamans and paladins can easily justify needing this ring. (And if a hunter rolled need on this he would be kicked very quikly from our guild)

Was in a PUG with a guild mate, and his brother won a random roll on Devout belt, gave it to him, and then he rolled against me on this ring, he won...he got 2 blues, I got none. ;_;

I've never seen this drop... ever. I've run UBRS like 50 times and have never seen it. I'm starting to wonder if it even drops anymore... I'm also wondering why it says unique if it drops so often. Can someone explain? Or is it just randomly put there?

i guess ur just unlucky, cuz i've ran UBRS only like 10 times and ive seen it drop about 4 times, and i havent won it yet >:-(

strangley enough, this dropped right after i posted. Now I have that AND Zanzil's Band, that's a 2% crit chance just from rings! Good luck to all those hoping for it.

Because I know you will when I outroll you on this with my holy priest.
First of all, why should priest allways get +healing gear? +healing is totally useless when you try to grind, and grinding is allready very hard for our class.
btw, the one who said mana regen isn't good for a priest.. hahaha
And the ones telling us crit% doesn't add to healing spells.. hahaha where do all my crits come from then?

This ring will become so damn good for priests after TBC gets released. That is because of the downranking spells nerf that will make +healing gear less attractive and +crit and mana regen gear more valuable.
As you could guess im a priest and I WILL roll for this ring if it drops, not only because of the TBC nerf but also because it will fit nicely into my current gear plan.

Finally, to all you people out there who think that +crit and mana regen is worthless for a priest: Get a clue FFS!
If you tell me that Mana regen and +crit is no good for a Holy/Disc priest you should keep your mouth shut because you obviously don�t know a thing about playing a priest.

Clearly not just a mage ring, when a heal crits for 300-700+ more and you have mana regen for the long fights in MC such as Majordomo and Gehennas this is a very nice ring for a Priest or Druid as well. Get off the class specific rant and move on plz.

healers usually get bonuses on crit heals too, pallies get mana back i believe and my priest haas that +25% armor on crit heals, for when i need to flash heal tanks in a raid

It's perfect for my shaman. I have 5 points in Ancestral Healing, which increases your target's armor value by 25% for 15 seconds after getting a critical effect from one of your healing spells. In long MC fights like Domo, I am always shooting off Lesser Healing Wave, so I have no time for my Spirit to kick in, instead I have to rely on Mana Regen items. The more spell crits I get, the more chances our main tank will get 25% to his armor, which if you ask him, makes on hell of a difference.

Mages, if you ever get into MC instead of thinking the only good thing on this is for giving your Fireball that extra 1% chance to crit, you will see other casters have a use for this ring.

Holy paladins can make great use of this one to. As holy i can 100% mana back from my main healing spells if it crits so there more i can crit with them there longer i can keep spaminig mts with healing ;-)

Gonna start farming for it one of these days.

extremely good PvP shaman/mage ring, extremely good mainpriest ring, ok for druids, sucks for shadowpriests and warlocks. Dunno about pally, prolly would be better off with painweaver

If there are any holy paladins out there, this is an essential part of the equipment you need. I've equiped this for a while now and despite downing Rag and Onyxia and winning both the Seal of the Archmagus and Onyxia's Head (which in turn got me the Dragonslayer's Signet) and the Tidal Loop, I have a VERY hard time giving up on my Band of Rumination.

For a holy paladin every crit heal is a free heal. What this means is that if you get enough +chance to crit gear, a holy paladin basically has an UNLIMITED mana pool. For a while I went with +int and +mana regen gear so that I could just not run out of mana. But after 1.9 in which 25-30% of my spells are critting, I don't need a huge mana pool. Any chance you can to get +spell crit gear, you should. There's nothing better than a healing paladin with an infinite mana pool.

With all that being said, it doesn't really matter that it has +mana/sec but it also a nice bonus. Sure it doesn't have any +int, but who really cares when your heals aren't using up any mana?

I'm actually debating sticking Seal of the Archmagus in my backpack (except for fire fights) and using Band of Rumination. The more I crit, the more free heals and the more mana I keep!

first time iv seen it and a priest rolls and gets it when this is clearly a more mage ring, 3 mages in the group just got screwd on the only +crit ring that drops whitout having to kill the new raidboss in tainted scar or onyxia, gg starfall.

Any class that casts spells I think can roll on this. More so for classes with offensive spells Druids/Mages/Shaman. As a healer we dont rely on crits. It just helps sir.

Main priests are going to go for more Int so...Emerald Flame Ring, Seal of Rivendare, Ring of demonic guile I think would be better choices. The mana regen tick is nice though.

I have never seen this item drop after over 20+ Rend runs. BIS for my holy pala. I don't know if the 22% drop chance is accurate.
