These are found on the ground in the pods all over Dire Maul, watch out when you open them though because they can sometimes kill you if you don't have that much health.

If you are following the cooking 1-300 powerlevel guide that Wowhead links to, you might be at the point where you need these for the recipe to level your cooking (Runn Tum Tuber Surprise). Blizzard added new recipes in patch 2.4 which can be bought from the general goods guy in Bloodvenom Post, Felwood.

The new recipes use bear flank, and despite what wowhead says the drop rate is fantastic on it. I didn't need to run Dire Maul repeatedly at this point to get this item, and neither do you. Just kill some bears in the same southern area of Felwood you get tender wolf meat and giant eggs from.

Just got the recipe to cook this yesterday evening, it was a drop from Pusillin the imp (same boss that drops the key to Dire Maul north) in Dire Maul East.

Mainly the tubers i got came from the warpwood pods that can be found all over the instance.
Do not walk or get too close to the pods otherwise they will explode and posion you, approach them slowly and as soon as in range right click on them to collect the loot, it should work.

some of them yes and some of them no, just careful the stealthed pats.

If you are a dwarf, you can see which pods won't explode, with treasure tracking. Otherwise it's a case of go near it and see.

Is there any trick to open those Pods? Or is it just random if you can get something out of them?
