the trick i use to get this chest is:

1. get your lvl 19 twink to the chest and log out
2. log on you lvl 70 and go to the chest
3. kill every nearby the chest ( if possible )
4. log out when every1 is killed and log on your twink again

NOTE: you need good connection to do this there are alwase some naabs that think there smart and take your chest away when you are logging.

It should be noted that your chances of getting this trinket at the intended level are slim to none.

There are always at least a couple of 70's there just to gank low level players, take the chest, and destroy the trinket. What a waste.

Your best chance is to persuade some pvp geared 70 friends of yours to defend you. The 70's that turn up are usually undergeared for 70 pvp.

Not entirely doable unless you are playing an alt on your main's server. If you're leveling for the first time, or rerolling, I wouldn't even bother aiming for this trinket.

Actually, getting this item at level 35 is entirely do-able, even without a 80 escort. You just have to be sneaky and very quick.

A couple of suggestions:
1. If you can stealth, get in the arena a few minutes early and position yourself directly in the middle of the arena. When he drops the chest, immediately unstealth and grab it. Usually, the others who want the item will still be waiting on the rim waiting to see who the first to jump in will be. Once they notice you, you'll have it halfway open and they won't have time to reach you before you loot the chest.

2. For those who can't stealth, follow the strategy for #1, but instead of stealthing near the chest spawn, die there. Run back in spirit form and wait until you see the chest drop. Res & grab it. It usually works just as well as #1.

3. There are usually 1-3 80s running twinks at any given chest spawn. If you stay on the rim, you can run to the opposite side of the entry. The rest of the people will stay by the entry, usually, so you shouldn't have any contenders that are standing next to you. Watch the 80s closely. Once they start fighting, you can try running in there and grabbing the chest. This strategy doesn't work nearly as well as #1 or #2, though.

NOTE: The Trinket will prompt a text box in game warning you that the Trinket is BoP. Make sure you confirm that you want to loot the item, quickly. If you die before you click the confirmation box, you will not get the trinket.
I would also suggest that you have auto-loot on. You'll still have to click the confirmation box, but you'll have one less click you have to deal with overall. Edit: Also, as RedwoodElf mentioned, make sure you have multiple bag slots open.

Most importantly, be patient. If you don't get it once, don't give up. Keep trying. As I farmed for my 12, I had approx. a 50% success rate.

Edit: I see there was some confusion about how to die in the arena. I'm astounded that people need help dying *in the arena*. No need to be concerned about hellfire-ing one's self to death. Just sit AFK in the arena for 30 min. You shouldn't have a problem dying at all. Other players will take care of that for you, I'm sure.

and its not good alone its the quest that makes it good

the quest is collect 12 arena masters and turn em into the guy who drops the chest <short john mithil or something like that on the south side of the arena> youll get the arena master thats a good trinket

USE: aborsorbs 1200 of 2000 damage < or something like that>

Equip: increases your chance to dodge by 2%

and this is not a easy task for certain servers any more

because when i go <52 gnome wariror> always 3 guildie lvl 60s helping each other out so either bring some freinds or hope to get lucky!

I actually managed to get TWO of these babies in a row last night.

Being a lock, I SS'ed myself and waited for the first few high level guys to go in and get busy. Then, heading for the chest, I cast Death Coil followed up by Fear to anyone who got near the chest before me. Needless to say, this got me some love and I was quickly taken down fast.

AH! But that was part of my cunning plan all along, you see...........

As I lay there dead waiting for just the right moment to see that everyone else was busy fighting with everyone else, I took the opportunity to use the SS to raise up again and Shift+Clicked the chest. Everyone was so preoccupied with someone else I managed to get it open and looted just in the nick of time. Nice little extra STA for a 42 lock where the Trinket slots were empty anyway.

Heh heh......and you rogues think you're so slick. :)

I brought my lvl 40 paladin to the arena (3AM server time) for the first time ever, more or less just to see what it was all about. About 15 people showed up, mostly high 40s, a few 50's, and a lvl 60 hunter named "Grannepimp" who really did look like a grandma :) lol :) Anyway, she was wearing all purple, and had a core marksman rifle that left us all impressed/intimidated. She talked smack the entire time about killing us all, and we decided to team up against her.
I followed her around, and when the chest dropped, a brave hunter crept out to the chest only to get blasted with a hail of arrows. That's when Grannepimp jumped into the arena for to make her move... and that's when I jumped in and stunned her.
I made my break for the chest while the hunter sent his tiger after Grannepimp. By the time she had sorted dealt with that, I had looted the chest to the cheers of everyone who were certain Grannepimp was going to take it!
First time in the arena, first time winner. It can be done!

I know many people are apprehensive about PvP, especially against your own faction... but let me say this is easier to get than you might think. Don't let all the level 60's frighten you away. Here's some advice:

I know some people have lives/jobs/whatever but if you try for the trinket at 3AM 6AM 9AM or 12PM you have the best odds. Most people are working/asleep/in school around these times. I got my first trinket at level 35 at 6AM and there was NO ONE in the arena. One guy showed up well after I had looted the chest.
Get to the arena 5 - 10 minutes early and scout for rogues/druids around the rim. Know how many people are competing for the chest. Keep an eye on the entrance while trying to remain hidden yourself.
If you forgot and the /yell goes out, you can probably still make it to the chest considering it takes a good minute or so for the goblin to walk all the way down to the center of the arena. Don't give up just because you forgot... I have been in 15 minute long matches before.
Get a buddy or two to go with you... even if they're low level. I have been to about 10 drops now and only in 2 of them has someone had a buddy there with them... you seriously up your odds by bringing back-up. Try to bring a rogue if possible. Sap/blind will make it that much easier.
I don't have any myself, but I am sure that a Noggenfogger Elixer or World Enlarger would make it easier to ninja the chest without being seen.
Lastly... don't be the first or even second idiot to drop into the arena. Try to be the last one into the pit if you don't have stealth. Of course, if you scouted ahead and didn't see any rogues and some guy is getting the chest then stop him.

I have 5 of these trinkets, and I have gotten my most recent four in a row without losing the chest once. It definitely helps that I am a rogue, but being a druid or getting an invis potion/invis trinket can also work. My strategy has been to hang out on the rim until I believe that everyone in the arena is pre-occupied with fighting or until there is one guy left. I then just sneak right up to the chest and loot it after sapping/blinding whoever I need to... seriously, it's that easy. I bring my rogue friend every time, but haven't really needed her help.

I heard the yell and decided to hightail it to get there asap. when i got there there was a 60 warlock all by himself. He sacced his VW and started to open the chest. i jumped in and sheeped him. he came out, death coiled me, and i ice blocked out of the fear effect. dispelled my ice block and resheeped him. stole the chest just in time for him to destroy me before i got away, heh.

finally, lower levels prevail!

The thing is about to get the Arena Chest, and to get it you must open it. The time it takes to open it is 10 seconds, and while you try to open it you might get attacked by other enemies down there, and you need to try opening it again. Sometimes you are alone at arena, that will be between 09.00-15.00, due to that people are at work. and at night from 12.00-06.00 also, due to that people sleeps:) Normally there is about 3-10 or even 20 pplz at the arena trying to get the chest.

In the chest you normally will get some pots, and a green/blue item + a trinket named: Arena Master that starts a quest. In the quest you will have to get 12 Arena Masters, from the arena chest. When you have completed this go talk with the guy in the arena, on the other side of the entrence. its a goblin;D then you will recive: Arena GrandMaster. A trinket that absorbes about 950-1200 dmg and also gives you 1% Chance to dodge.

Stratergy:
1 Minute before the chest gets released the Goblin in Gurubashi Arena will yell; Yarrr me harties, i have left a treasure in Gurubashi Arena, or something like that, and when the chest is setted down on the ground, he will yell something like Let the Blood thingy begin:P cant actually remember what he yells^^ well, however when he has placed the chest there, theres always 1-3 rogues down at the arena that is in stealth, so they will go and take the chest first, if not they are in group fight eachother, then when the fight is on, you wait for the others to jump down to, then when all have jumped down, and if the chest is still there, you shall jump down and try killing all and clearing the area. after that your free to take the chest:) be aware that you can kill Horde/Alliance down in the arena nomatter if you even are on Horde or Alliance yourself. If im Horde, and your Horde also, i am able to kill you down there, so be aware!
The best group you can get for arena chest must be a Priest,Warlock,Shaman,Warrior/Rogue,Mage and Druid maybe:) Priest Fears aswell as warlock, while Priest also must heal, Druid must help fight, and heal aswell if this is a big fight. Shamans MUST set Tremor Totems, Grounding Totems and Magma Totem. Tremor Totems removes Fear, Grounding Totems absorbes 1 spell, and Magma Totem will attack all nearby enemies near the chest:)
When all is dead, take chest and get tha hell out of there!:D

Btw: You cant use a raid group to get arena chest, due to that you can attack others in your raid group (not in your party) but in your Raid Group! so be aware that if you have a raid group down there you can attack everyone that isnt in your Party(Group)

answer to why lvl 70s crowd the arena. They are basically helping they're friend/guildmate get the arena grandmaster for use in 19 or 29 twink pvp battles. 2 of these on a 19 twink means you'll have to be heavily twinked to stand a chance.

When I was lvl 38ish to lvl 45ish I'd regularly go to the arena, won roughly 15 myself and aided friends (and other Horde that happened to be there just for the fight) for at least 50 wins of the chest (maybe more).

It's hectic in there, but a lot of fun. If I was on my own, as a priest I'd wait for the fight to start run straight into the middle with my shield on, physchic scream and frantically click the chest hoping no one would recover from the fear in time to knock me off the click. Worked about 30% of the time, then I'd try to run out while the whole arena ganked me (nearly always died, but was worth it :-))

Prior to lvl 70 I'd go back to help others (no time now, too may raids), so was still attempting the arena until I went to the Outlands, then it was too much trouble traveling.

There's a great technique when in a group.

All run in together and immediately click the chest (all looting). If you have a plan for one particular person to get the trinket everyone else pulls off the chest a second before looting.

You do this to give those in the arena too many targets and if several of you need the trinket no need to pull off.

Since I was helping others who had helped me gain my trinkets I used this technique a lot. Was particularly useful when combined with phychic scream.

If the fight had started I'd run in first, start a mass fear and click the chest, right behind me would be those I'm helping who would also click the chest.

Since everyone in the arena saw me click first the majority went after me leaving the person(s) who we wanted to loot the chest free to do so (this worked most times!).

If we went in first we'd use the same technique minus the fear, but if anyone approached I'd pull of the chest and do a mass fear giving more time to loot the chest.

Very successful technique.

You'll find some players are very smart, they don't try to kill anyone, just stop anyone from looting in the hope they'll get a chance to loot. One wand or arrow and your looting is broken. Many times our plans have been ruined by a low level player (usually the 30-35 range) that used this technique. We found killing these quickly (which is easy when over lvl40) made it a lot easier for a second try.

My lvl 70 arena partner (2v2) still uses the trinket for the shield, I don't since I have a shield, so the trinket is useful to some past lvl 70.

If you die in there don't give up, several times I or a friend has died, rand back ress'd and looted the chest. The fights can go on way past ten mins at times.

Really funny when you take your mind of the chest and start fighting, you can find a low lvl player has sneakily looted the chest while you was busy :-)

Blizzard should add more events like this since they are a lot of fun and a great distraction from leveling.

OK i just got my 24th one of these the first 12 for my rouge twink the second 12 for my druid twink ive also helped other people get it many times. The reason i am writing this is to state my expiriance and to give some tips you probably heard and some you probably havent this is a long piece so only read if you want tips if something is wrong go ahead and correct but try not to argue for no reason and sorry for all the spelling i type fast and spelling is not a priority.

Ok 1 if you dont have patience do not go after this i have met people who quit around the 5th or 7th one all they did was waste there time.

2 It will take a while if you try to get this item all alone so will have to call some friends to help make sure you can trust them they can be someone that is in your guild someone you do business with often just make sure its not someone whos name you just happen to know because if other twinks show up they will try and bribe them or they may just get greedy and try for them selves. One time i had a few lv 40s with me to help (not the best but better than nothing) i saw one of my mains guildys was on i did not know him but i told him my main and him were guildys and asked for help he agreed then when the time came he killed us all and whispered lol i learned this leasson that day pst.. the reason i said you can bring friends and people you do business with ofeten is because friends are friends and people who you do business with depend on you so they probably wont betray you also beware if you see 1 twink with 70s and tells you he will help you out of no where somethings up which brings me to my next point.

3 Other Twinks. On my server the only people who ever get this is other twinks rarely does someone who just happen to be lving in the area get it. ok so the thing sabout other twinks is that they usually have friends as you probably will figth it out if you loose you loose if you win you win do not engage in talking trash in general chat or whispering eachother saying NOOB even if they start it just ignore it also in long battles between twinks and theyre friends sometimes we forget to watch the clock keep watching it if you and the other twink are still figthing for it at 3:08, 6:08 ect (it drops at 3,6,9,12 on the dot and despawns about 15misn later)you are in trouble because it may despawn i saw it despawn quite a few times in my days so i make a recomendation if the clock hits 3:08 or later then that whisper the other twink and tell them about this and how maybe everyone should just stop figthing and the 2 or 3 twinks should just roll for it at this point at least this way you have a chance if you win the roll you win if you loose let them take it (you just got a few points on their book which is nice since you will probably see them 3 hours later or the next day) they may double cross you if you win and just start figthing again at least you tried and now know that this particular twink cant be trusted if they can be trusted then you can do this again with this same twink if this occurs again or just to avoid figthing in most of my expiriances this system of rolls worked just fine i was only double crossed once but at least 8 times the system of rolling worked fine and and half the times i won the roll and avoided figthing just so the thing can despawn.

4 Dont be a jerk it seem simple and you may think it dosent matter but it does you are going to be in an arena figthing is one thing but being a jerk is another if you loose dont curse or talk trash to them all you have to do is say grats and log this took me a long way by getting along with other twinks we were able to help eachother with out mains (this is an annoying thing to ask 70s to do but if theyre doing it too theyre way more understanding)my druid twink and a hunter twink i met helped eachother with our mains this would have never happened if id had pst noob when i lost or said lol when i won one other quick tip sometimes lv 30s to 40s show up who were lving in the local areas they usually just stare from the top as you and your 70 friends loot the chest let them have the loot after all this chest,quest and trinket was meant for them not twink(twink are basicly rich kids with powerful friends)but the reason your doing this is not just to be nice but to make alliances you may never see them again or you may see them 3 hours later when you dont have 70 friends and they may be all available to help ie seen at least 3 or 4 cases of this where being nice by giving up those greens (blues are rare)they got free help later aginst other 30s and 40s who came for it (obviously they cant help against high lvs but in some cases that dosent matter)the bottow line is you probably dont need those greens or even those blues this will earn you an ally and it just dosent feel good to see a twink and his friends take all the loot and you just stand there looking.

5 one quick simple tip if your a twink and you log to the arenaand your alone and another twink with too much muscle behind him is there agree to help even thou they dont need it thyell most likely accept help them anyway you can let him have the loot sometimes theyll give you money or some of the loot or let you take the next trinket.

6 Horde vs alliance-on my server i dont see many horde going for this (i am alliance)probably because theyre better at pvp and dont need it but sometimes they do show so allys or hordies are your friends and this is another reason you dont want to make enemys with other twinks and theyre friends also consider that if you want to get into the best twink guild you may be figthing a future guildy on my server one guy trash talked a twink who won the trnket he later found out that twink was gm of the best twink guild ont the server so hes basicly stuck doing normal bgs which sucks if you end up being the only or one of the few twinks there(as apose to pre made ones by twink guilds)

7 finishing tips-The times on my server dont seem to matter (this is probably diff on your server) so check all the times on your server and learn the patterns sometimes the same twink with 7 70s only shows up at 6 so now you know to avoid this hour but sometimes no one shows up in the middle of the day so its very random the first time i started farming this the first week i dint get a single one because too many twinks were showing on other weeks i got 2 or 3 a day with no one showing so learn the patterns figure out your odds and make a strategy no point in bothering 2 70s or even having to pay them if most likely another twink will show with way more muscle-Remember to set your settings on auto loot i died once after i had opened the chest but dint click the arena master trinket i quickly learned from that mistake by the time i got back it was too late and you can still give the low lvs that show up to lookt the loot by opening trade with them in case you wanted to do that (theyll probably be too scared to go down for it even if you do leave it in the chest so just give it to them in person that way they know your giving it to them not just leaving it for whoever it earns you even more points with them)-talk to the big twink guilds they usually have list of people going for this they will automatically become your allys and this will get you more help even thou youll hae to help them too-i think that is all at least all i can remember at the moment if i think ofanything else i will post that too i wish you the best of luck and hope this helps.Please let me know if this was helpful or not...

I would like to clear up a matter on this. I'm not sure when it changed or if it ever did, but for all you 19 twinks the first turn in is 825 exp. NOT 500 or 550 exp. I was told 550 but got 825 leaving me only 300 from level 20.

I was flying to Booty Bay from the Rebel Camp at about 6:45pm, and just as I passed over the arena I happened to look down, and sure enough, I saw something in the middle. Traveled up there, and lo' and behold, the chest was still there, more than 45 minutes after it had been placed. That made me one happy camper. Being a lvl 35 Druid, that was a nice surprise.

I was helping out a 70 hunter/19 twink guy in the arena last night. He partially looted the chest with his main, logged and came back with his 19 twink. The twink was killed by a mid-50 level hunter that came. I, in turn, killed the hunter, and told the twink to hurry back before others came. While waiting for him to get back the chest de-spawned. He called me a liar and a cheat and was generally nasty - so much for being a nice guy
I have watched the chest sit there for as much as half-an-hour without a problem. In fact I had never seen the chest de-spawn before. I do see that TONY007CORP (below) has seen it de-spawn multiple times. My question is as follows; Is it possible that partially looting the chest can lead to a de-spawn after five minutes or so?

6:00am server time

level 19 rogue twink

I asked a level 70 rogue to escort me there and help if I needed it and he said he would. We traveled there and literally walked up as the goblin was walking down to the arena floor so no chance to recon the arena for possible enemies. I had stealthed before entering and just walked right behind him to the middle of the floor. My buddy walked down unstealthed to draw out anyone that may have been hiding. No one appeared and I looted the chest.

Second time was successful!
3:00am server time

This time was a little different. I had logged off in the arena after the first one. The next night at 3 I decided to try again so logged back onto my twink. My only mistake was that I did not have my buddy kill me the night before so when I logged back on I was unstealthed and was not able to check out the situation before rezzing (know better for next time). So once I entered the world, I quickly realized the problem with doing it this way. There was a high level alliance hunter sitting right beside me. His biggest mistake was killing me right then. I ran back and stood there watching him before rezzing. No one else showed up so I figured what the hell I will try my best to take this chest. My first thought was I had read that hunters should put pets on passive to keep them from breaking traps. I hoped he had done this! The goblin walked down and placed the chest down. As soon as the hunter started to open the chest I rezzed, went into stealth, and sapped him. Low and behold his pet never attacked me and I looted the chest. I am not sure what level he was (skull to me) but what a rush. I stood there until he came out of sap and he saluted me and left without killing me which kind of sucked because I wanted to die. Very gracious though.

one last thing, when (lol IF) you get the 10 second cast off to loot the chest, it will say "do you want to bind this to you" be ready to hit YES even before the message pops up, if you get killed while that message is there you will feel stupid having looted the chest and failed to grab the thing that matters.

I just got the chest at 3 pm! I was on my way to gromgol base camp, and figured, hey why not try for it. And, woohoo, there was no one there but me ^_^. And I'm lvl 33 so I can't even equip it yet! ^^

You need to be lvl 35. Used to be lower but this was a favorite twink item at lvl 19 so they upped the lvl. Still is an awesome item in the BG's. Get 12 of these and you get the Arena Grand Master which absorbs 750-1250 damage. When that toon you are trying to pwn just absorbs your dps now you know why!

You can get it in the guribashi arena quest is for aliance and horde the more near road is going from ratchet to booty bay and go to the gurubashi arena and talk to the goblin this is for a blue trnket you only need 15 of these and you got the arena grand master it auments your dodge rating 12 and absorbs 750 to 1250 damage lasts 20 seconda the arena grand master can be found in the arena tresure chest

I got this drop last night at the midnight drop. Probably 60 or 70 guys around. I used a noggenfogger elixir that made me small and didn't even get touched.

How, where do u get this quest? just go to the arena have to get chest item, then all of a sudden u have the quest, nothing in this forum even comes close to how to get the quest

Got this tonight as 44 warlock, had one hell of a fight with a 47 rogue, died, SS'd, died again. However I got some DoT's on the rogue who was at 300 health, so after that it was just a matter of running from graveyard and back, opening chest, grab items and /taunt the rogue as she ressed right after the chest went away ^^

well i started to farm this on my warrior on lvl 30 it giefs 1 arena trinket nothing speacial 5stam and when you go to the quest giver he tells you that you need to collect 12 more arena trinkets but dosent tell what anyways when you collect 12 you get a final one that giefs equip: 1% dodge chance and use: absorbs 750-1250damage pretty nice for my pvp warrior im like my own priest:) anyways well atleast on twisting nether its nearly impossibol to get as lvl 35 cause there are allways like 5x lvl 60s going for it tho cause it giefs 1 world drop(l2p lvl 60s go to dim there is a lvl 60 arena)anyways you need like 4x lvl 60s 12 times or you wont get the grand arena master before your lvl 60yourself :)

My 36 rogue stole it from about 8-10 ? horde, just as chest dropped. The only one that noticed was a lock and must regret his lack of instant-dmg spells.

get 12, get a sick trinket that provides something like 1k to 1.2k dmg absoarbtion and if I remember right 1% to dodge. Expect the arena to get a little more crowded...

Hey everyone,

I noticed that everyone wants to know what you get when you get all 12 Arena Trinkets and give them to Short John Mithril. This is what he gives you.

Lol the quest is a piece of cake. Just go there @ 02:00 or 04:00 and u`ll get the chest without competition

Here's how it goes in order to get it for the twinks.

Get this trinket. You wont be able to wear it, but just start the quest. Get the 12 total for the quest, and get the grandmaster. The grandmaster has no level requirement. good day, and enjoy.

Has anyone else had problems starting this quest? actually got this item at about lvl35 anyway, but I haven't completed the quest as it's always said 'you don't meet the requirements for that quest' when I right click it?

Has anyone else had this problem, and anyone know how I can start th quest?

Lower levels can fill both trinket slots and save two bank slots while waiting to get to twelve. +10 Sta isn't that significant except at lower levels and there aren't many other trinkets at those levels anyway.

I have two of these, trying to take the third, but it just doesn't pick up. What do I do wrong? I got all items from the chest except this one.
