Pattern is buyable from the Argent Dawn at Revered faction.

Very nice druid tanking shoulders; outside of farming ST for dumb luck you won't find anything close, really. And these are still better.

It's just the pattern that is the same, the Wyrmtongue and, I believe the Stormshroud as well, are purple with gold trim, where as these are gold with white trim.

Leatherworkers. You've been screwed over again. I'm not even sure getting Revered was worth this reward.

...though I also enchant, and I must say the enchantment recipes say otherwise.

The only type of druid that might get excited by this is a serious feral tank build. 134AC is near top end shoulder AC (better: Animist, Defiler, etc). +22 STA makes this one of the highest STA shoulders, and with the HotW talent it's actually about +26 STA. Finally, the +dodge is the one damage mitigation stat a bear tank can accumulate to make up for our missing parry/block. So for feral tanks: armor, a massive health pool, aggro retention, and dodge are very important, and this piece is great for the STA and dodge.

The two required Righteous Orbs, however, make this a luxury item that few will bother with. As mentioned, Flamescarred is a far more easily obtained shoulder that loses some of the GMotD's health and dodge, but adds better aggro retention (via STR/AGI).

In Patch 1.10 Righteous Orbs will no longer be needed for these shoulders. Which makes them very viable druid tanking shoulders.

Better to get Stormshroud shoulders instead.

Stormshroud shoulder gives 1% crit and 1% dodge + 12 stamina

I'm not convinced Stormshroud is better than these. These have +10 more Sta (+12 for a Feral Bear tank), and +8 armour (+40 for Feral Bear tank). Depends what other gear you have really. +1% crit helps with tanking by generating aggro, but a serious (post UBRS) tank will probably value 12 Sta and 40 Armour more.

While i use the Bloodtiger shoulders for my druid, i have been thinking about upgrading my Fleshhide Shoulders to these on my rogue. The reason is that short of the PvP sets and three extremely end game shoulders (patch 1.10) these have the largest possible stamina boost attainable. As a Rogue i want stm above everything for PvP. Do a quick search for shoulders with more than 18 stam and you will see what i mean.

point is that for PvP a rogue might not want to over look these.

Now i know some would argue for the moderatly easy to obtain Wyrmtongue and Shadowcraft becuase they have "some" stam, and a good deal of agility. But if you dont just want to be a "Cruise Missle" Rogue who is only good at killing one caster in BG's and you want to do some serious World PvP, all those extra 120 hit points here and there will stack up to a pretty big HP total, and allow for a much greater versatility.

I have to agree with everyone else. This is sort of a decent Druid Bear form item because of the stamina. But you'll probably have a lot of agility if you are in feral gear, so +1% to dodge is no good. Who wants to miss out on rage generated by being hit or risk getting overpower spam from a warrior?

No-one else seems to say it, so i thought I should.

The Living Essence and the Guardian Stones can be ground out in an hour or so in Un'Goro.

That aside, i've no real idea what alot of these people are on about. These are great shoulders for a Feral Druid tank. If you're in cat form alot, then i would suggest the stormshroud would be slightly better; but it's all down to how yuo play your druid.

With Feral talents, i get 678 armour, 1% dodge and +26 stamina. Thats quite massive for something that is craftable. Sur tehre are better shoulders in teh game, but few of them are guarenteed, and all the examples mentioned above are not that easy to get.

And as for the people at the top $%^&*ing about how Revered with teh Argent Dawn is not worth it, i'd think that most level 60s are at least honoured with the Argent Dawn, and given the Scourge Invasion 3 months ago and Naxx etc. I don't think many of the serious leatherworkers will be far from revered (if they're not already).

Oh, and finally:
Druids generate rage differently from warriors.
Warriors rely on getting hit more than we druids do.
My dodge is at 27% (i'm wearing these), and it's an amazing thing.

Depending on where you have your talent points, you might want different gear. We're a versitile class, and you should play it your own way!

I absolutely and utterly love these things. They are superb for bear form. I highly recommend them, pretty easy to craft too.
