I spoke to a warrior who was mining in Hive Ashi today. He said this item dropped for him from a bug and he started picking up the carapace fragments. I have never heard of this happening before.

He was asking me about them, where to get the quest for it et. I had to explain to him who Broodlord Lashlayer was et. I think while he was in Silithus someone deputized him and did not explain to him what was going on.

today a guy make me an agent, so that is 1 charge is a bs, (probably he make agent his entire guild before) and he mark me today, now i can get the stuff, btw even if i dont complete quest Only One May rise, i cant turn into rep

I was walking through CH on my way to the mailbox when this appeared in my pack. This is the first I've seen it or heard of it.

From what I can figure, it lets me loot "Silithid Carapace Fragment"s from the silithids I kill. Each silithid seems to drop anywhere from zero to four of them.

If you have completed the prerequisite quest, "Only One May Rise" (killing Broodlord Lashlayer in Blackwing Lair) you can turn in these fragments in stacks of 200 for 200 Brood of Nozdormu rep apiece, and each turn-in allows you to make an "Agent of Nozdormu" item for another player -- probably how many people visiting this page got the item to begin with.

The purpose of this quest was to gain Brood rep before the AQ gates were open, since it's a lot more efficient to simply run AQ40 for Brood rep if you're able to.

Personally, I don't see myself running Blackwing Lair or AQ40 any time soon. I might be killing a good number of silithids in Silithus and AQ20 though, so I think I'll just hold on to these fragments in my guild bank in hopes that I'll be able to turn them in for reputation someday.

If not, they aren't soulbound, so I can always sell them on the auction house for some added profit.

I received this when I accepted the quest "Report to Marshal Bluewall". At least that is what my chat log shows. My wife accepted the same quest and did not receive it.

yes it is.

to get it you have to:

find someone on your server who has alrady found anachronos AND looted the head of lashlayer in BWL. so he becomes an agent of nozdormu.

After this, this person has the possibility to acquire neutral status with the kin of nozdormu. to aquire he has to promote other characters to be agents of nozdormu. to be able to do this, one player, who's character already is an agent, has to accompany a group or a raid and kill some silithids in silithus. Each bug drops 0 to 4 ossicles. the agent mentioned above (the first, looting the head) needs 200 ossicles to promote a player to be an agent himself.
