This tunic is great for anyone looking to Make a level 29 twink Rogue, Hunter or Feral Druid.

To get this piece:
1.) Complete "The Defias Brotherhood" Quests (There are two parts to this Quest).
a.) Escorting The Defias Traitor to discover where VanCleef is hiding.
b.) Killing Edwin VanCleef and returning his 'Head' to the Questgiver.
Both of these quests can be completed with a 5-Man group levels 20 and up.

I will have to make one correction to the previous post: This chest-piece is great for making a level 19 twink (as opposed to level 29 twink). The agility is ideal for either rogues or hunters but is nice for druids too.

I'm at level 36 (I'm a hunter) and I still haven't found anything better yet.

Hopefully I'll get something better from Scarlet Monestary - I skipped Gnomer all together because it just is not a fun place to go at all. I'm sure there's some random drops out there that are better or rare items but overall it's a really nice piece for the level you get it at.

this is a great item and you can get it at 19 or below since you can get in at lv 10 but it's not wise to go in before lv 17 unless you have a lv 70 running you through

get 100 hp on these and its the best 19 twink chest u can get IMO, although color looks like crap, have a tabard on hand :D

In fact all twinks should choose this chest.
Yes, the other reward of this quest is chain pants, but warriors and paladins should still take this one.

The chain pants are BoP, what means that you cannot mail them to your main and put armorkit to them. You can still enchant +100HP to this chest. :)
Yes, you lose some armor, but stats are great aswell.

No, I'd think that the Strength on the Pants alone would make it worth it more for Warriors/Paladins than a +100HP Enchant.

Also, Agility, in comparison to Strength, is nigh useless for Paladins and Warriors. Sure, it might give them a little bit more Crit Rating, but the added Attack Power and Armor on the Pants makes them a better choice for 19 twinks.

ummm you have tobe atleast 14 to begin the chain so it does kind of have a lvl requirement of 14....

For any leather wearer, this will last you until about level 35. Unless of course you find a BoE blue on the way, or get the Stranglethorn Vale quests done early.

My rogue got this tunic at lv25 and held on to it well into his 30s because of the agility bonus (coupled with the cape of the brotherhood); it's a great reward for 20-somethings

Tunic of Westfall or Blackened Defias Armor chestpieces are better or worse for different builds for twink rogues in particular. In BG's, the most effective stats a twink rogue could possibly have are Stamina and Agility, Strength secondary. It is controvertial which nuild is better in mass stamina vs mass agility, but the best rogues seem to have a great ballance of both. I personally play alliance on Mal'Ganis, and the best twink on the server is right now on the horde side, so obviously wears the Blackened Defias Armor, however, there are formidable matches on the alliance side, most with Tunic of Westfall, it really has to do with self-priority if you are an alliance player that has the choice between the two, Blackened Defias Armor has the advantage of the +4 Strength in the stats as well, which is always good to have for any twink rogue for +attack power, so I personally would prefer using it for a more balanced twink with all three of the major rogue stats. Those of you choosing sides with Tunic of Westfall and blabbing on about "Agility is more important than Stamina" probably if you have your way will have ~50% dodge, but not nearly as much health as those taking Blackened Defias Armor's side. It all has to do with that particular rogue's build.

There is a level requirement, but it is not for the chest itself. You must be level 14 to start the quest chain, and you will get to 15 just by doing the parts of the quest leading up to the final part and the experience from running VC.

Depends on the shaman.

Is it elemental? : Blackened Defias for the stamina.
Is it enhancement? : Tunic of Westfall for the AP + Crit chance.
Is it resto? : Why bother?

I see that everyone is sharing their opinions on whether or not to get this or the Blackened Defias Armor. In my opinion (I do have a 19 rogue twink) for a rogue it is smarter to get the Tunic of Westfall rather than the BDA. I've came to this conclusion after countless hours of playing Battlegrounds having rogues dodging and critting so much. You see, if you have a butt load of stamina but not much agility... sure you can live for a long time, but it's much harder to kill your opponents because of that loss of agility. On the other hand, if you have a butt load of agility your huge dodge percent will more than cover your loss of stamina, and you will be critting every other hit. And since you're a rogue wouldn't it be better to be able to take out multiple opponents one after the other then just living longer?

No you can't have a minimum level 35 enchantment on this, the item level is 24.

ok this is the modern twink gear that i have used and that friends have used i am in a twink guild that has 3 allys and most of us twinked the same...please keep in mind if u want to twink and need help contact dorgeshun on the realm elune.

for a rouge flag carrier:
defias armor(+100hp)
serpents shoulders(no enchant avail)
dark leather pants(nethercleft leg armor)
deviate scale belt(no enchant avail.)
scouting gloves of the monkey(+15agil)
miner's cape(+70armor)
lucky fishing hat(+100hp)
bandit bracers of the monkey(+9stam)
Sentinel's blade(+15agil)
protector's sword(+15agil)
sentinel's medallon(no enchant avail)
nat pagle's extreme anglin' boots(spped of the boar/+12stam)

now if you wana do sum dps here we go:

Agreed, get a group together and run deadmines--I got this when I was around level 18 and it's still useful. The +11AGI can't be beat.

Got this on 3rd VC run with my NE 24 hunter. Now he's 30 and still found nothing better! Total AGI well over 100. Can you say CRIT? :>

I first got this at around level 22. It was perfect for me because I'm a Hunter and the Tunic has a great agility boost. After a few levels, I just bought a Medium Armor Kit to keep it up to speed with the rest of my upgrades.

I'll probably be buying a Heavy Armor Kit very soon since I'm getting close to level 30.

I had this chest at lvl 14, ofcourse with the help of boosters. Immediately got +100 Health to it.

if ur planning to be a 10-19 WSG twink rogue or hunter this is a must have piece
u need to start the quest line at around halfway through lvl 16

then you can go on to the next quest line for 'the seal of wrynn' (the only definite pickup 'great' ring a lvl 19 can have)

seal of wrynn: Seal of Wrynn u wanna get these pieces you will most likely need a 60's help, and yes it is rather time consuming :P

Still using this at 38, mainly because the AGI is so awesome and I'm saving up for my mount still.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend keeping this past 35-36, but it's still a fantastic tunic for rogues :)

Classic, 2019. Still using this on a rogue at 41. I'm dismayed that this is the best I've seen in nearly 20 levels for a chest, though it is clearly a good piece.
