I would honestly say this isn't good for the price, 2% isn't an aweful lot and if your that close to a tanks threat level you should stop damage. Healers usually only take aggro when thefight starts and the tank has moderate threat, so 2% isnt going to do much either.

Post BC and this is still one of the best cloak enchants for many classes. Any healing class as well as certain dps classes would most likely choose this over the spell penetration or the +7 to all resist or any of the other options.

For this reason as well as certain other items of interest, I would recommend strong guilds who have spare time to run AQ 40 with a bunch of 70's. It's fun and usually alot of people just want to get to see the instance again.

This means it'll be accessible to everyone (probably revered or exalted rep). Also: a lot more expensive! Nexus crystals used to be really expensive - on my server in the post-TBC times they are now 3 to 6g each. If you have a cloak, find someone and get the enchant while its super cheap.

Could anybody with this enchant post if the reagents for THIS drop (not the Thrallmar/Honor Hold reputation reward) have been modified as well, or if you could run AQ and get this one with the much cheaper mats?

Yeah and it really sucks that some of the Outlands gear is better than the pre-expansion raid instance gear too, doesn't it? What a shame, to spend months in MC/BWL/AQ40/Naxx for Tier sets that are no longer worn, just to have some level 65 or so player get a drop on his 5-man instance run that's better...

Hogwash. Trying playing on a realm where AQ isn't even open yet, and no one has any enchants from there. Better still, try playing on such a server and getting anyone to leave Outland long enough to go through the damned gate opening chain. Hard as this may be to believe, just because YOU have the enchants does not mean enchanters (even the top end ones) on every realm has them.

And I've yet to see a better cloak enchant for healers in the expansion than Subtlety from pre-BC...

I personally hope Blizz's dev team do put their bongs down long enough to make some of the old AQ enchants rep-purchasable (i.e. like they did with Alchemy and the Flask formulas)...if you're worried about such a thing cutting into your profits, you need to Lrn2Outland; those daily repeatable quests rake in 100+ gold without even trying.

And I for one get tired of spending a week or more in Trade channel and the Realm Forums trying to track down someone (someone...anyone) with an enchant I want. I've leveled two enchanters to 375 (one being a raider who spent months chasing Formula drops); I know it's a pricey profession and having rare enchants is a moneymaker. But players on the new realms get screwed over harder than any players on the veteran realms ever could.

Just my 2 copper.

This is the only useful enchant for casters of any sort, and yet the mats are still expensive.

It's a pretty low drop rate in AQ I don't remember it being bad preBC, my guild did the boss 8 times at 70 just to see it drop once but threat dropped several times, finally I can do it :)

Is it still possible to get this enchant? Nobody is running AQ anymore since TBC. But maybe Blizzard made it available somewhere else, like many other pre-TBC raid recipes?

btw Tanks should get Formula: Enchant Cloak - Dodge but the 2% reduction in threat is great for dps warriors as they don't have the ability to lower their threat

I assume this enchant works just as it states. Reduces the threat by 2%. I am a 60 mage who has my talent tree spec'd to reduce frost spells by 30%, and arcane spells by 40%. You won't see me complaining about another 2%. Every percent counts in my opinion. In my opinion this enchant is great for any class who does'nt want aggro. It's a small bonus, but it may save you when you need it most. The mats would probably cost 200-250 gold on my server. That's not alot of gold and worth it to me if you have a friend who could put this on your cloak for you.

Ya... As any literate person can see, this enchant should not be used by warriors, however there is an enchant which can be used for warriors, which I believe can be applied to the hand socket, where it *increases threat* by 2%, which should increase a tanks performance.

this takes aggro AWAY from the tanks, this leads to other DPS or Healers to have aggro, therefore better for them, if any tank is considering getting this DO NOT

Of course, no Warrior would wear a cloak with this enchant on it while tanking, but nor is he going to be wearing the same cloak when he DPSes as when he tanks. While -2% threat is not a significant amount, there really aren't any other cloak enchants for DPS Warriors; the only arguably offensive cloak enchant is +3 Agi, and that's really pretty useless once you get to a point of character development when the cost of a Subtlety enchant is no longer prohibitive. Above all, remember that Warriors are the ONLY class in a Raid with no way to limit/slough their own aggro.

I'll be putting this enchant on the 1.11 Unyielding Strength and keeping 1% Dodge on good ol' Redoubt, thanks.

Got it yesterday on my resto druid woot! 2% seems like a small ammount, but those are the ammounts you need in end game. Just like +healing. Arent you gonna get the +24 healing to bracers enchant because 24 is not gonna save anyone´s life? ;)
