With 350 +damage, +6% frost and +3% general, frostbolt XI hits for an average of about 880-890, tops around 910. 25 more mana / cast with frost channeling. Basically, it adds 70-80 damage or so vs. the lower rank for 10% more mana. For those who are curious.

I got this last night!

The damage of frostboldt says now: 545 to 589 wich is an increasement of almost 100!

Just got it...
I have a PvP guild, we just went in AQ for fun, and the first boss dropped it.
It is 561-605 if you have talent points in Frost.

You guys are saying 550ish.

I am frost spec'd with mediocre +forst spell dmg gear and am 610-650 frostbolt lvl 10.

I am hoping to be in the strong 700-800 IF AND WHEN AQ would open on this new server (Malorne).

Me wants this badly....

Just got mine last n8 from Moam (aq20), i dkp'd out all my points! BUT this Upgrade is realy awesome! normal hits without new Tome = 810-850 with tome 905-940 non-crit. w8ting on next PvE run (CoE *g*)! Is it Love? ;)

I have just been the unluckiest mages in all of WoW. I have the upgraded fireball and arcane missles already and have had them for a loooong time. And guess what? I am a Frost Mage and I have been a Frost Mage since day one! Well except for now Im elementalist after the patch but still.

Ran aq20 many times and have yet to see this book drop. Is it the rarest of all them?

I understand that the upcoming expansion will include this as just another learnable spell as you level to 70. No wonder people are trying to ditch it to suckers asap.

got an invite to AQ20, about an hour later we had downed Kurinnaxx and low and behold, this tome drops. One had it, so I rolled against one other mage and won it. I was expecting to get nothing, just wanted some experience.

As for the ninja above, if fire or missiles dropped, I will PASS.

Are the Tomes spec specific. If you are a spec'd fire mage can you use the Tome of Frostbolt XI or are you only able to take and use the Tome of Fire?

i havent gotten it still and im in good gear.
it just dropped tonight twice and i wasnt in the raid...

I just picked this book up last night. It increases the damage done by Frostbolt (Rank 10) by about 75, and critical damage (with talents) by 150. I now regularly crit with frostbolts for average of 1725 (with no buffs) whereas before i would do more like 1575. This means an increase of ~ 9.5% DPS while casting frostbolts, which is just huge!

If used with ZHC (Zandalarian Hero Charm) This thing owns. Only have +155 damage and the frostbolt crits for me around 1800. With CoE on will crit for 2200 easy.

I just bought this tome from AH for about 2 Gold! its worth 10 G to vendor and around 100 G in AH normally! Bought it without knowing its value but jus being a few levels away from lvl 60 i thought it was a god investment for a couple of gold coins (weren't even a buyout, just bid on it on off chance!) . Sorry to boast abbout awesome deal i got but after researching its value im extatic and as i just re-speced t a frost mage will come well in handy! :))

Its bit to much gold for now, but in like 30day, i bet you will be able to get it for no more then 300g in Auction House, they already started to selling it in AH 600g Stormscale (EU)

I've been trying to get this spell book for almost 3 months. So I went on vacation for the long weekend, I come back, and was told to check my mail. They'd gift wrapped it and mailed it to me. =) Awesome guild mates ftw!

Same day, I respeced 28/0/23 and we did a Rag kill, and I won the damage meters by a long shot. 14.5% vs. next closest person at 9.5%. =D When CoE-buffed frostbolts hit for 1200 and your crit rate is nearly 30%, its hard to believe the mages in the Blizzard forums who say we can't do damage.

Mages FTW! Frostbolt Rank 11 is the single best upgrade for a frost mage in this game. (so far)

I crit about 1400... If i have berserker buff from battlegrounds with +30%, i deal about 1800 crit...

I mean, 1200 is nothing...

Tool tip reads:

with the new rank, my non-crit frostbolts (no pots, no flask, no dmg buffs, no CoE, no trinkets, etc) hit for around 1.1k average. With CoE they are doing a lil over 1.2k each. New frostbolt rules.

My mage "Repulsivius" is on Kilrogg. The mage is full frost spec.

I hit 1,200 crit easily without this book. If you go half assed in frost tree, you won't get much frost damage. Just be an +intellect freak, since +int does help critical strike chances.

326 intellect total for my current mage. I'm not sure if thats good or not. It is only Tier 0 to 0.5 right now. Magister's gear has higher +int than the sorcerer set.

Finally laid my hands on this well needed spell today found it in ah for 300g. Could have increased the dmg a bit more though imo but i guess it´s ment to be this way since its a big pain in the ass for the victim anyway. Frost ftw

With ~311 spell dmg, I went from 789 max dmg to 891 max dmg.

28/23 raid spec.

With 390 (frost power enchant, spell power enchant, and briarwood reed if it'd drop), it would bump it to mid 900s. With over 1k with CoE.

Bought it from a very awesome person for 600g(on this server, that's a good price).

When you got this it's like having +110-120Frostdmg with frostbolt.
