i have a crit for 4479 on the mobs in BWL, but generally cant crit for more then 2k or so, so it is possible that he crit for that much. my gear isnt anything spectacular, 7/8 cenarion is what i had on at the time with cyclone spaulders.

I bought one for 250 g which on my server is about half of the regular price. It is NOT worth it for that price. Granted maybe it OCCASIONALLY cits pretty well but overall not much more than Starfire Rank 6.
If you get it in drop I would say learn it unless your server is like mine then SELL SELL SELL!
If you can sell that item for anywhere over 20g sell it!
In retrospect I should have bought it and relisted at the "normal" price or just left it be in the AH.
I have PvP gear with enchants and plus spell damange to weapons and such so you can take that into consideration.
The rare occassional high crit is definately not worth spending that kind of gold on.

Starfire (Rank 6)

- 1.5 dpm (damage per mana)
- 163 dps

10 less dps than wrath (rank 8)

Starfire (rank 7)

- 1.6 dpm
- 180 dps

7 more dps than wrath (rank 8)

NOTE: its only really worth it if your guild allows you to go moonkin to bolster mages / warlocks dps and allow you to dps yourself. But yes, If you use the spell then the book is well worth it as starfire is the most mana effecient damage spell druids have in their aresenal.

I bought this, because i am a balance druid, and have recently endeavored into the world of Battle grouds. I see the damage difference when casting starfire now, and my damage gear isnt all that. I really dont see myself being able to crit like that though, even in cenarion gear, because only 2 out of 6 pieces give any +dmg. I do however use outfitter mod, and all my leather dmg gear goes on when i shift into moonkin, and i crit around 1700. I would like to know what specifically your +dmg is, and how you managed to crit like that.
I have +167 dmg in my leather dmg gear, mostly random blues from DM and Strat. and cenarion bracers and belt. I refuse to fight mages and locks for cloth dmg gear.

a 60 druid, in FULL BWL EPIC CLOTH +DMG Gear critted for over 4,000 dmg w/ starfire on my server...

too bad his guild made him respec, one of the best moonkins i know...full +dmg epic cloth gear enchanted w/ ZG +dmg #$%^.

My druid's crit with this starfire rank. With only zanda charm and zerker as buffs. no power infusion, no flasks, no elixirs no wizard oils etc etc

got it yesterday 496-584 dmg with 340 mana cost
dropped from first boss in AQ-20...

Actually yes, some druids in the guild do want it :P

Being a moonkin is great, I love it, and have been requested by my GM to stay that way.

I've scored 1400 crits w/ this, my highest being 1412 against Rajaxx.

Book dropped from Kurinaxx. I traded w/ the other druid who won and I had Rejuv. XI.

Well there is a book that teaches ferious bite rank 5, drops from beast in UBRS. Lost that book quite recently to another druid :(
