Believe it or not, but this is actually the best blue ring for a paladin. And yes, a pala should have priority over caster pvp-wise. Why?

Crit for caster in PVE means overaggro, and overaggro = die = bad.

Crit heal for PVE paladin in PVE means big heal, and crit heal for PVE paladin also means FREE heal - that's right, when pala heal crits, mana is refunded. Also, since paladins have lowest base threat rate for healing their crit heals will NEVER generate overaggro.

Mana regen is very important for paladins, since they are the best long-term healers in game, and can use incredibly small amounts of mana to output incredibly large amounts of heal: rank 1 flash heal is 35 mana, and (with 500+ healing) heals for 390 hp!

Obviously, the +healing benefits paladins PVE output, but so does the +damage for PVP, especially after patch 1.9.

But, as a fire mage, when I crit my spell does 210% damage, and if I crit within the next 4 seconds, ignite will stack, making the first spell do 240% damage, and the second crit do 210% damage. If a mage gets enough spell crit, they sometimes ignite multiple times, dealing massive damage. Of course, if I do ignite multiple times, I sometimes take a break for a few seconds.

This is a great ring for anyone who does spell dmg and needs mana and anyone who can use and need an item should roll on it. Great ring. Don't listen to *!@#s who think their class is the only class in the game and why they are so needy. Reality is if they leveled up a few toons they have more knowledge on all classes and if they are past 5 years of age they would have more social conscience and wouldn't post this crap.

Drops in the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj off Ayamiss, a large flying wasp-like boss. Seems to me a Priest ring for the 3 mana/5 secs; I only say Priest for that 1 state though - this would be a lovely ring for any caster. I'm a Mage and would definitely bid on it.

I find this ring to be very balanced. Although some might think it may be better off in the hands of a priest, any caster would love to have it: balanced on all sort of buffs you can have on a ring -> stats, +dmg, +crit, +mana regen.

I shure would bid on it :)

I'd guess this ring is from ahn'qiraj since most of the new items added on the main-page has been from there. Judging by the name, Desert Winds, it seems as a reasonable guess as well. time will tell.
