Trinket spawns a level 47 boar. It looks like one of the boars from Razorfen Kraul.

Boar doesn't have more than a couple hundred health points and hits for around 35-50 from what I have seen.
Pretty cool trinket for pvp I suppose.

This looks like a very useful item to me. More attack power is always good and the boar can be useful in boss fights. 15 minutes doesn't really seem like a bad cooldown. As long as you use it when you need it. I have the design and currently grinding to get up to 235. Right now I'm at 216.

The boar is level 47 and looks like the armored boars from Razor Fen.

I know! I can't wait till I start jewelcrafting. Who cares if it's like engineering? That's good too, and has diffrent principals than jewelcrafting. Anyone know what the boar looks like? I would like to know, please.

These little guys do pretty decent damage for their level/skill, unlaoded two of these on my hunter in Beta Test and had a three pet gank team going. Only hope they keep it able to equip 2 at once when the xpac comes out >.<

My eng pets have a 30 min or 60 min cool down and this one has a 15 min. They should lower the eng cooldowns or raise this one.

I have my Jewelcrafting up to 244 now and have the boar, It does about 25-30 damage every couple seconds for 30 sec, you have no control over it it just moves on to the next target soon as you kill the one you are fighting. I like the increase in attack power the item offers as well.

Normal damage is roughly 40 before armor. But when the boar attacks, it uses a Rushing Charge that does about 160 damage. The thing just critted 321 for me rushing an imp pet.

I have jewelcrafting up to 252, so, based on other posts (and actually worked for a while), you would assume the boar would be a lvl 50 one. Well, not for me, the level of my boar is 47. This happens to you too? I'm 56 already so, is it time to sell trinket to NPC?

By the way, if it is because of the item level being 47, the mechanical dragonlin trinket level is 40, but the dragon spawned (265 engineering) is 53, it didn't stop at 40.

Update: never mind, apparently it has always been 47 and does not "improve" as the dragonlins do when leveling the profession up.

Just finished gathering the materials.

Breath of Wind was the hardest to get.
I am 53 so Silithus was out of the question.
Had to run Tanaris for hours to get 2pcs.

Tried the little boar out on the Tanaris sand in the vicinity of a lvl 41 hound. No targeting of the hound. He rushed forward teeth bared without any questions.

I did not have time to see his level before he died.

These are my remarks.

1) He attacks without provocation, so watch out for that in Neutral towns, I may try this later for fun.

2) He died after about 2 hits from the lvl 41 hound, so I am not sure of his survivability. Was hoping to use in PVP.

3) He has a 15min cooldown.

4) He looks like the boars from RFK.

5) Its cool being a JC.

Hoping the higher lvl boar works better.

The boar is level 47. It has very little stamina but some pretty good dps and the boar charge thing that adds 100 damage. Hit the non elite ogres in alterac for 35 on a normal hit and 135 with the charge attack. Probably rocks in pvp :)

Just made mine, absolutely perfect for tanks.. this guy has like 100hp so if you cant take the aggro off of him he'll die in about 2-3 hits.

i dont recommend it for everyday use since it will aggro anything and everything, but for boss fights and PvP its really really awesome.

I'm a BE affliction warlock with mining and jc.Yeah,I know kinda weird cause everyone say casters should be with tailoring and enchanting...but I wanted something different.The owl is awesome with the intellect and stamina and mana restoration.As for the boar...I don't use attack power,but stll I'm wondering is it good in PvP?The damage doesn't look bad though,but it's low on life points :/
