Items like this make baby Thrall cry.

The item budget has obviously been mainly allocated to +3 resistances to 5 schools of magic. No tank in their right mind would choose this over something like the Medallion of Grand Marshal Morris which you can get at level 52.

If you wanted a resistance necklace then surely you would try to find one in the school of magic you primarily intended to face, eg. Fire, Frost etc. There are plenty of magic resistance items with far higher single school resistances.

Only useful for getting a Large Brilliant Shard but the material costs make that prohibitive.

Good all-around add for low resistances, plus benefit of increasing your defense rating by 17. True, arcanite bar mats are expensive, but sell necklace for 25G+ minimum on the weekend and watch someone jump on it that needs a boost in aforementioned areas. The two thorium settings and Azerothian diamonds are not hard to come by and if you sell this blue item for somewhere in the neighborhood of between 30 to 40G... Cha-ching!

Yes, universal resistances are never wasted, but most of the currently known fights/zones tend to rely heavily on one, or an most two, types of magical/elemental damage. MC and BWL are fire (and some shadow), AQ is nature, Naxx shadow and ice and so on. +3 is not a lot, especially since most of the (blue) jewelry already in game at this level can give more situationally useful stats for resistances (eg. emberyfury talisman from first boss in UBRS, which also has a dodge increase in addition to fire resist).

And the defense increase seems odd as well...not a lot it seems (I would guess the same as +2 in the old system?), so I am not sure how many warrriors would need this over something that increases str/sta/agil/crit chance and so on.

Overall pvp I suppose is the most likely application of it, but with all the spell penetration talents/items appearing at the same time....+3 all resistances is not really compensating all that much. It helps of course, but will not make or break more then a few fights.

A nice well rounded piece I suppose, but do not expect to make a fortune selling.

You can get this recipe at the everlook vendor.If u dont see it ..its because someone just picked one up and u have to wait for respawn which shouldnt be to long.If i remember right it is in the hut on the right as you come in.

Wrong. Arcanite bars/Arcane Crystals are common as fkn candy now. Every second rich thorium i come across has at least one, if not two crystals.

Arcanite bars are cheap as mining picks now.

Anyone have any idea what the RECIPE is worth at auction? I've had it up for 8g88s for DAYS...it seems like a deal to me, but no bites! What do you think?
