I remember at a point when they first added this festival that these worked like the 'Wrapping Paper' item. Funny wrapping a Blacksmith Hammer in one of these and giving it to someone :D

But I know since they made the changes to Wrapped items to prevent gold scams, they changed this item to grey loot or removed the 'Use' effect.

As of 2.3 these work/act just like wrapping paper. You can only wrap non stackable items.

It looks like these might have some kind of use since you can right click them and get the highlighted pointer but not sure for what yet... Not sure these should be classified as junk just yet.

I used it to wrap a uncommon sword and it created a gift. You can use it on anything that IS NOT stackable. The chocolate IS stackable and will not let you use it.

the valentine's day heart candy does not stack, so yes, you can wrap them and give them to your friends as gifts

You can wrap empty wrappers with the empty wrapper... Oh how fun... =)

stackable items cannot be wrapped. eg jade
soulbound items cannot be wrapped. eg bonebiter
so i wrapped a flint and tinder. who wants it ?

Anyone know what wrapper is used to wrap SB items... I have been told there is such a rare thing but no-one can recall its exact name!

There are many alternatives to this common valentine's day drop, such as Red Ribboned Wrapping Paper, it simply isn't worth keeping, really. Search for "wrap" if you're interested in other colors/styles, but I'm not sure it makes a difference.
