As a tailor these take me an extremely long time to farm the mats to make. I have 4 of them for myself and they are selling for about 50G on my server right now.

While questing to 70 you should easily be able to get enough cloth and netherweb for many of these (at least 4), and even the rest if you're an enchanter. If not, buying the dust and essence off the AH is pretty cheap, especially since you're getting a 18 slot bag. These were a really easy way for me to finish off getting all 18 slot bags. Now we just need to wait until the 20 slot bags and we have to grind for months to get one.

Relatively Cheap and inexpensive to make (Esp. if you have the right connections to a person that can DE greens). Lot cheaper than the 20slot Primal Mooncloth bags.

Farming Netherweave - pretty much any mob, farm ogres for beads/rep and cloth at the same time (Nagrand)

Arcane Dust/Greater Planar Essence - Don't need much luck for a person to DE you a Greater Planar Essence, rest will become dust.

Netherweb Spider Silk - kill some spiders in terrokar, done in 10min tops.

the only problem is the netherweave spider silk; I suggest grinding them yourself in Tekorrak (they're selling for 15g/piece on my server...)

Netherweave drops a plenty from the ethereals near Area 52, ~30,75 in Netherstrom. Works out nice if you are also farming for Consortium rep (Zaxxis Insignias).

somehow no one thought of really selling it. So i did some math to see if u benefit from making this bag and selling it. (all the prices of mats are taken from wowhead)

4x18=72 netherweave= 10.8g (3g a stack)(15s each)
4x2 arcane dust=16g
2 netherweb spider silks=12g
1greater planar essence=5g
==========================In Total 43.8G
so the conclusion is that u get 1.2g from selling this bag :)
PS all these items could be gotten by cheaper price or if u farm the silks it doesnt cost u anything

1 bag : 39,85g
4 bags :159,40g
Full bank : 278,95g
Full bag slots and bank :438,35g
Full bags/bank + twink : 597,75g
All bags/bank on server :4383,50g
50 chars : 21917,50g

the last 3 were a joke but still it shows what you can expect if you are gonna make them as tailor,it will be much more if you buy the bag on AH.Hope it helps :)

Anyone noticed the very interesting fact - cost of mats is actually HIGHER than lowest cost to acquire via the AH? I know that there are different servers out there, some cheaper, some more expensive on some stuff, but I've checked the cost of mats on Nordrassil and they're still higher for about 8-10g (talking standard prices, not ripoffs/underpriced).

I'm just curious; where did the Arcane Dust come into the mix? It's not listed as a mat on Allakazam and the person I asked online didn't list it as a mat either. Does this need Arcane Dust or not?

why on earth do ppl !@#$% piss and moan about prices. All the mats used to make this bag are also mats used to create a ton of other valuable things. As all of our respective servers casual players ding 70 all of the prices will be comming down.

Now to date the bags are only selling for 45-60g depending on the number of listings. Thats a 50% drop in price in only a month and a half.

Netherweave 4.5g a stack X 4= 18g
Dust 2g each or 30g a 20 stack X 2= 4g
Essence 4.5g each X1= 4.5g
silk 4g each X2= 8g
Total 34.5g AH mat price

So is 10-25g profit really all that much to ask for? If it was my time and effort put fourth to farm the mats HELL no its not to much to ask. Or if you play the AH and buy all the mats yourself and make one to put on the AH you will take about a 3g loss for AH cut.

If you wana take the price down then go farm all the mats you need and buy what you can not farm. Then /2 WTB (put link here) Have mats, will tip 5g PST!

Usually you can find someone really fast or a guildy can help you.

Keep in mind though that even if you farm the mats yourself and you pick up the mats free. They still have a value and that value is determined on the daily basis on the AH. So make sure you are going about it the most cost effective.

Someone could post a few auctions for well below the current market. So buy theirs and post yours for a mark up but still a little lower then the lowest on their.

If your smart about it you can get a bag for around 20g out of pocket. Who really cares about 20g anyway I mean thats like what 1hr at 70 in outland doing basically nothing.

If ya really wana $%^&* about something then ^&*!@ about the 20 slot bags.

All those prices are way down and will continue to drop.

Why finished goods cost less than the materials in WoW.

Because every guide out there says to take two gathering professions and sell everything on the auction house until you're somewhere between 60 and 70. Make tons of gold. Then switch to two crafting professions (or one crafting and enchanting) and then make items with materials bought off the auction house by people with two gathering professions trying to make their money so they can retire at 60 and become crafters.

Craft like crazy and sell it all off on the auction house. Because, technically, if you've followed the guide, you've got so much stinking gold you don't know what to do with it and the prices aren't an issue. You have your epic, your flying and your Netherdrake already, so you don't have anything else to spend your gold on.

In addition, most players have their own gathering profession alts to funnel raw materials to their crafting characters.

While it may seem backwards to think that if people are buying materials off the auction house, crafting and then selling the finished goods on the auction house would be making any money, they are. Hand over fist. Because they're not buying it all from the auction house, only what they need, and they can afford to bargain hunt and some of their materials are coming in from an alt that is generating materials that cost only the time that would be spent playing the alt anyway. You sell what is most likely to bring a huge profit and keep what isn't and use it in your crafting.

They come out way ahead because they're all supporting each other while getting their profits off of other people who aren't doing this.

Why do materials cost more than products? Because this is not real world. You do not have to work hours straight to make something with your hands. Just open your profession panel and click on the item you want to create. Actually gathering the raw materials, farming them or whatever, takes more time than creating the item. Two hours to get some #$%^ing turtle scale and 2secs to do the turtle scale helm or breastplate. Obviusly if you want to sell the materials you will put a highest price than the product. You just used two hours of your time to get them!

lol im just saying.. i get bored at this game occasionally.. so i decided to farm the mats for this to make 3 bags for my hunter.. and it took me a lil under an hour to farm the mats for this.. not bad at all

if you have a enchanter in your guild
the mats are no problem then.
i get so many greens from outland that
my mail is full of stacks of dust.
also get alot of essence. as for the
cloth man i get them so often i have to vendor
them. the only thing that really needs farming is the web.

As tailor i experiment craft & sell this bag and it is insane :

- mats costs at least 50 PO from AH and nobody want the bag for more than 40 PO
- the basic 16 slots bag costs 5 PO to make from AH and you can sell tonns of it for 10 PO.

omg.

i have only one thing to say : tailors my friends DONT MAKE THAT 18 slots for leveling from 340 to 350 and sells them à stupid price. There are other way to skill that difficult part.
