Just go to Lake Kel'Theril and kill the banshees and spirits there. The frozen ectoplasm is the easiest to get becuase there are so many mobs there, nothing else, and they don't spawn bugs when killed. Lol

Im a 60 hunter on Windrunner server and doing the scorched ectoplasm in sithilus sucked ass!

Does anyone know what the end result or reward is of the quest chain?

Go ahead and go south and get you a Fel Elemental Rod. You will need it later in the quest anyway. You can look it up on thottbot to find where to buy it.

i killed like 15 of em and got none, is this normal?

You place the destiller and kill the mobs IN the aoe, is it so hard?

.. this might be a bug or something but it won't drop
i put down the distiller and killed them in the shining area .. i've done Silithus/EPL but not winterspring.. i killed about 8 and it didn't drop..
im in Lake Kel'Theril.. please help or mention if you are having the same problem

Did the ectoplasm with help of a 60 warlock and 60 priest, no deaths, used 3 rocket fuels. Placed the machine near the building towards back of town away from tower.

this has been the hardest for me and had to use 4 rocket fuels
1st rocket fuel i got 1 then horde came by and messed with me
2nd i got 2 more then alliance came by and killed my mobs, i told them im doing quest but they dont care, and those people have no guild
3rd is same as 2nd
4th is very early in morning, im the only one and finished

I put out the Collector and start to kill mobs.. and i only get 5 Frozen Ectoplasm.. i dont have enough time :S when its gone.. and then i lost 1 Goblin bomb :))

i was able to get 8 with the 1st fuel and 4 with the 2nd, i dropped it between the island and the ruin, pulled them to the circle and killed them

Doing this as a prot spec'd warrior is a nightmare. Each mob takes about three hours to kill so the distiller keeps despawning :(

its happeneing to me to they arent dropping and i am doing it right cuz i got the 12 other ectoplasms its just the frozen ones that dont drop

It is important that the mobs are in the aoe range and you must be too or at least have the small (de)buff the distiller is pulsing at! You then need to kill the mob when you still got the buff or it won't drop. This basically means you need to melee or run in fast when the mob is almost dead!

these F*U*C*K*I*N*G ectoplasms doesnt drops! are it an bug or something hjave uset5 rocket fuels on these frozen ectoplasms and it doesnt drops. all other drops but dont frozen! anyone nows why i am inthe circles iddle when killing them! .... =/

While you are there you should buy
Fel Elemental Rod well so you dont have to run back again...
