First LBRS run I was on we were in a raid so I got 0. 2nd run I got 6.

Will these drop if you are in a raid group for LBRS, or do you have to be 5 man to get the drops?

I tried all of te following spots for farming beads:

1) Outside DM: I can easily solo as a 60 combat specced rogue (full shadowcraft and rends swords). I can down them pretty fast, but the drop rate is horrible. I think it was like 1/25 or so.

2) Inside DM North: I went there with a group, where 1 more person was after the beads. The drop rate is MUCH better. We went all the way to the king, and we each had about 11 by then.

3) Omak's room in lbrs: The great part bout this room is that the drop tate is GREAT. I'd say I got a bead 40% of the time. Another good thing about this room, is that I can solo pretty much entire room (except the ones on top of the hill, and the boss ofcourse) It is pretty hard, but very doable.

a) Make sure u have instant poison on both
weapons

b) The 3 ogres at the entrance are kinda tricky, u have to wait till the mage ogre is all the way to the RiGHT side, then u sap the leftmost ogre. When u do this u aggro the right ogre, but the mage ogre will not be aggroed. As soon as u finish off the ogre, u vanish ofcourse.

c) The key to soloing one if thes guys is COOLDOWNS. I usually had to wait till AR for a fight. When they are low on health and you evasion up MAKE SURE U BLIND, and bandage. One crit when you are at half health and its gg. After a couple of loooong ass corpse runs, ull get the hang of it hehe.

the drop rate on these things sucks, killed at least 30 ogres outside of the instance and then about a dozen or so inside DM north with 2 other guildies and we only got 2 beads between the 3 of us. so that's like a 1 in 20 drop rate. only need to kill 1,460 more ogres until all 3 of us can finish the quest. woot.

got 23 of them in 2 lbrs and a half dm north.
got the last 2 from around 20 gordok ogre-mage outside.

So i suggest STOP WHINING and go do some instance you lazy retards, not everything is free epixxx

kept reading where the droprate in DM North is like 1:10 or so.

that's not true. last night we did a DM Tribute run, and i was the only one on the quest to get these. well our first run i got 20 of them. the next run i had the last 5 in my possession in probably 10 minutes.

i recommend acquiring these in DM North instead of LBRS.

Don't waste one second on the mobs outside the DM instance, the drop rate is horrible and if you group with someone else who needs em, it's even worse. I ran DM North non-tribute with 2 other guildies who need the quest and we each got 7 from a full run. I suggest getting a few good friends together and just farming the first ogre groups in LBRS, I went as the only quest holder and got 11 from one run. Basically pretend that your looking for a drop from the final boss in either DM north or LBRS, so you just run the place a couple of times to get it. Two or three runs should be enough for everyone.

I'm pretty sure the drop rate one these is based on a 24-hour time window. Drop rate definitely goes down over time. When I started off outside DM, I was getting one bead about every 10 ogres or so and managed to pick up 9 in about three hours. Coming back to it later on the same day, I only got one in 5 hours of farming.

While I've helped others collect them inside the DM north instance with better drop results, the one time I tried it for myself, only three dropped for me along the whole route to the king (this being after collecting 5 outside).

Not conclusive proof, to be sure, but it looks like a timed drop to me. (Grr... 4 more to go)

where is the quest to start this? is this faction specific? and is there any pre quests to get to this?

in LBRS is the best place to get them. BUT they only drop in a 5man run, none will drop in a 10 man. so dont wste your time like i did.

The drop rates listed here must be skewed because this is a new item.

Also, Beads don't drop in LBRS unless you're in a 5-man like SylverAurelis said. I too have wasted many hours wondering to myself... "WTF?"

Gonna try DM North instead.

deffs lbrs 5 man for this, drop rate and time it takes to kill ogre's in dm n is way too low and slow. If you're only after these just go for Highlord Omokk the mobs that spawn during Urok Doomhowl's event drop anything, don't waste your time.
about 9 per run.

Best to farm in group in DM North or LBRS.

Also possible to collect them solo. I looted few from the Ogre-mages outside of the DM

after 408 ogres outside DM i had the 25 warbeads not the most fun i had in wow
