I've had this drop in both of the 2 1.10 runs that I've done. Lost both rolls though! Once to a warlock and once to a druid(I'm a mage). Really nice offhand..

I just got it yestarday from a guild run, I'm only lvl 57, but since noone else needed it I got it without even roll. Now I have to lvl up 1 more lvl to use it... can't wait.

im a 60 mage.. this off-hand is much better than ancient cornerstone grimoire.. actually everything is better than acg.

Got this yesterday, really hoped for Draconic infused emblem, but this was a nice upgrade from Umbral crystal.

Went with 9 guildies (mostly in MC epics), a very welcome change from dimwitted randoms who fall into the eggs constantly.

Ubrs pugs suck....sit there for hours slaving through to Drakki....but in Ubrs you always need a replacement rogue....because if Eye of Rend doesn't drop then the Rogue is off....and then we have several wipes and by the time you reach drakki the hunters bow is broken and nobody wants to wait for repairs...so somebody thinks of the great idea of a mage kiting....and i'm just thinking okay.... I'll prolly get conflaged...but no worrys... >.<

then after numerous wipes the raid falls apart and you just wonder why oh why your guild is focused on Zg & Aq20....tbh Drakki needs nerfing :P

I hope that on my 5th tome of the lost drop i roll above 60...

Get a lock to fear 1 add during the fight..

CoS and fear .. then fear.. and more fear..

When the first add is dead .. stop fear.. kill add (put a COD or 2 on drakki ^^ u got time for it)

then CoE/S on add that is gonna be killed

Then nuke drakki.

Drakki dead and no hunter/mage killed in process.

I usually fear with my imp up for staam buffing the tank but if u feel more secure with ut blue geenie out just go ahead and summon it

First, just letting the the 2 people above that this forum is for the Tome of the Lost. Not Drakk.

I just got Tome of the Lost which is a good Off-hand caster item. high Drop rate from Drakk, should go well with this dagger.

The best non-epic +dmg offhand you can get.

https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=8525/zinges-purchase-order has slightly more damage, but lacks any other stats. I prefer the tome.

if you can, you're better off farming ZG to get the off-hander from jin'do. jin'do and other bosses in ZG have excellent caster drops and is more worth your time than farming UBRS to get this. if this item drops for you, great, but i'd never run UBRS just for this.

I have this, and the new 1H Mace reward from the new quest in Sithilus, and I plan to put the +55 healing enchant on the hammer when I can farm up some essences... between the three, I think I'll have a decent healing kit without having any epics... now if only was a good +healing enchant for my Animist's Leggings.

"This book beats the epic Fire Runed Grimoire (MC)in damage minus a few stats" ...?
Minus a FEW stats? The fire runed grimoire has 14 more intelligence and 6 more stamina vs 1-7 more damage. I know damage adds up but the stats here are much better. This book doesn't beat neither fire runed grimoire nor Hexxers bag of whammies since 1% chance to hit will become very important when you cast spells on 60-63 lvl mobs. 1% to hit lowers your chance to "miss a spell" meaning the mobs chance to completely resist it. Get a few percent of this and you will get much less "x resist your y-spell!" as a result.
And as far goes for the AV books, they increase spelldamage for ONE kind of school of magic. Sure it's good to get 34 more frost damage when you only spam frost bolts in MC, but for for example PvP they are completely useless. And damage isn't much good if you don't have enough stamina to survive a random boss fireball that hits for 2 k or run out of mana after spamming 20 shadow bolts because your spirit is 120. IMHO it's a balance not many can make. =)
