This is very good for anyone without access to ZG/MC. Just as Briarwood Reed is good for anyone without access to BWL (or a DM trinket with spell damage). Talisman of Ascendance is your ZHC style alternative to this mini-ToEP.

There aren't a whole lot of damage trinkets before the big raids.. Briarwood reed from Jed here in UBRS, and the Burst of Knowledge from the jerk in BRD with all the fire elementals, so this one is a good find if you're lucky enough to see it drop.

Still, +100 damage isn't a whole lot, but the cooldown is VERY friendly. 1.25 minutes listed here above in the Quick Facts, so it does add up really well.

If you don't have access to Molten Core, Zul'Garub, or the endurance to grind Argent Dawn rep (and ugh, it's a pain) then this'll serve your pewpew needs well.

I ran UBRS last night, and I think I saw this drop. Looks like a match anyway or close to what we saw.

I think it was off of Drak. Sorry, it was late, and someone ninja'd Drak's items since most of us had died and ML wasn't turned on. We all passed and then one guy grabbed the loot and ran.

Anyone confirmed if it does/doesn't stack with TOEP/ZHC in light of the 1.10 changes to trinket CD timers?

I can confirm that this item drops of Drak, the final Boss in UBRS, as a part of the new caster loot added in patch 1.10.

This dropped for my group last night, and I won the roll :). When activated, this trinket will enforce a 15 second cooldown on ALL other equiped trinkets. Therefore, this will not stack with any other trinkets.

Also, for those wondering, the cooldown for this item is 1 minute 15 seconds. Since the duration is 15 seconds, there is a 1 minute gap before you can use this item again.

I'll also add that for mages, the Fire Ruby (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=51335) will stack with this trinket. However, a 10 second cooldown is applied the Draconic Infused Emblem.

So you must activate the Fire Ruby, wait 10 seconds, then activate the Draconic Infused Emblem, to recieve +200 fire damage on your next spell.

There seems to be a bug with this trinket where the first healing spell cast after activating does 1/2 the normal healing. Has anybody else experienced this?

This item is actually better than ToEP for healing classes. Same duration, shorter downtime, more +healing =D. Also if you hit this right after you use your blessed prayer beads, that's 35 seconds of +190 healing, followed by a minute of downtime, then 15 seconds of +190, 25 seconds of downtime, then 20s of +190.

in the first 2min20s you can spend 50% of your time with +190, time it well with some greater heals or patch healing and this duo is great.

Can anyone confirm or deny the possibility of this stacking with ZHC or ToEP? after the patch we got heavily pvp nerfed, but it wouldnt be all bad if this stacked with either of the other trinkets. Please respond ASAP.

15 second duration, 1 minute 15 second cooldown, so you can have it activated for 20% of the time. For burst damage it helps, but overall its equivalent to a trinket with a +20 spell damage passive buff. For PvP and some PvE encounters the extra burst damage may be handy, but most of the time its your overall damage that's important so the the briarwood reed is better. Though, if you don't have a ZHC or ToeP you might want to pick this up just so you get in the habit of using it.

It is infact, brilliant!
Beat my new crit record straight after UBRS with my first use of it, got a 2200something crit which is really common, then a 2672 straight after. My highest beforehand was 2476 or around 2470.
Can't wait until I get Talisman of Ascendance aswell!

Use of multiple damage trinkets at the same time is now disabled.

As far as I understand, if you use, for example, the ToEP, it will activate a 15 sec cooldown on all the other trinkets that give similar effects, such as ZHC and DIE.

Likewise, if ZHC is used, it will apply a 20sec cooldown to the ToEP and DIE, etc etc.

and no it won't stack with ToEP. It's all trinkets with similar + values.

im am fine with feral druids rolling on shadowcraft ect but i dont think that feral druids sould roll on ferals stuff and healing stuff

Although this is nice for PvP you're better sticking with passive +dmg trinkets if you're raiding.

15 second duration,
75 second cooldown,
+100 damage

15/75 = 20%
20% of 100 damage = 20 damage on average if you use this every time it's up.

Considering the warlock trinket has +23 damage and the Briarwood reed has +29 (I'm pretty sure) I'd stick with them for raids.

Got last night on a ubrs run my last one actually for my Onyxia blood and I planned on never going back. I paid the winner 225g for it. Well worth it IMO

I got this one already some time ago on the very same run I got the dragonrider boots, too (wanted them for MC, and it took me like thirty runs to finally get them).
Anyways, I got the talisman of ascendance yesterday, too, and I wrote a little macro for them. It checks which trinket has no cooldown atm and activates it OR it casts a shadow bolt. Quite nice for me, as I usually tend to forget to activate the trinkets often enough; this way I'm more or less forced to activate them.

I'm not sure why anyone is saying that it triggers 15sec cooldowns on other trinkets...I can use this at the same time as my Blessed Prayer Beads, and I get the full benefit of both. As soon as I won the roll for this in UBRS, the first thing I did was trigger both my trinkets and set new GHeal records :-D

Just had it drop off Drakk tonight. Nice pre-ZHC nothin, nice pre-ToEP! Same cooldown as well, 90sec.

We also had the epic 2h Sword drop from Drakk in the same run, GG blizz.

Dropped last night on my first try, I (mage), druid, warlock, and priest all rolled, warlock one.

Good luck getting one, low droprate and pretty much any class that can cast spells wants it.

Love this with my lock, it adds +100damage to 4 dots :D and in the same 15secs i can start a lifedrain, such a nice trinket :D

When i got this trinket first time it was 1 min cd, but when i got hakkar trinket this trinked also switched to 2 min cd, is that a bug or what ?

Dropped tonight on Alleria. I won it, and I love it. It's a mini-ToEP. +100 damage, on a 1 minute cooldown! NO deminishing returns like on ZHC or anything. Just a 15 second damage burst every minute. I used it tonight in BWL and MC, and watched as my DPS soared.

Not sure where you people got the cooldown as 1 minute or 90 seconds. It is 2 minutes, not that is bad or anything. On the ZG run I was on the day after I got it I could activate it at the begining of one fight, near the end of the next, and then at the begining again of the 4th fight. It is very nice indeed.
~edit~ hmm my addons tell me 2 minutes and now alla says 75secs. I'll have to time it :P report on it later

Dropped this morning on a run that went ENTIRELY too long. None-the-less it currently sits in one of my trinket spots... waiting for me to try it out.

...gotta tell you... I blinked a couple of times because I didn't know that blizz had added to the loot list in UBRS. Great idea blizz... I dun mind having 75 less dam than TOEP.
