I can honestly say no one would want this anymore. Easily replaceable in TBC. 50g starting-bid for 24 hours should be ok then hope that some random people out there want to bid for it.

I got mine from a trash pull in Molten Core back in November 2006. I've heard it also drops in ZG, AQ20/40, and many of the world bosses... but apparently not since WowHead has been collecting stats.

BOE pattern, so it can be given/sold... at least, it could back when I acquired it. Of course, it also used to require Swordsmith to learn.

It looks like you would have to go through alot more effort to get this sword than finding a raid group and eventually get the Azuresong Mageblade, which I'd take over this any day and twice on sunday.

Yup, Loopyxs, you are right. I have the same prob as you do, ican't raid, gotta wake up too early in the mornings. So i'm trying to get this sword :) That's only way to get good epic-caster sword ^_^

We just had this drop off of a trash raptor in the Bloodlord's area in ZG. Got donated to the guild bank. We had Bindings of the Windseeker drop for us off Garr not too long ago too. This guild seems to be damn lucky for being less than 3 months old... :)

Just to warn all those on Draka there is a toon named Bamf who will tell you he can make this, get your mats and log off. He has been doing this with enchants, sageblades, anything really. If you want to know about him go to the realm forums and run his name in the search.

Pfft. Its the secondnd best caster sword in the game. Yeah I said it. Better than Bloodcaller, doesn't have the class specification restriction that the Ahn'Quiraj quest rewards have, and easily obtainable by anyone determined, but unable to go on MC, BWL, AQ40 raids. The Azuresong Mageblade remains the best by far.

This dropped of some thrash before Princess Huhuran in AQ40, sadly i dont have a swordsmith char, but a guildie got it, so i can't wait to get my alt mage to lvl 59 and wield this sword. Ye there are better swords in raid instances, but this is by far the best before raid instances.

LOL! Bought it for 10g today even though it's pretty worthless now BC's out and some of the quest rewards are nearly as good...just to have in my repertoire. Maybe someone would argue...it's still probably a bit better, but I could have bought a dagger almost as good for less, and doubt I'd put the mats into it which still must cost an arm and a leg. Still 10g is a sneeze in BC, so whatever...

running around nagrand in TBC and looted an eternium lockbox on my rogue. opened it on the spot and recieved this... was quite shocked cause it wasnt even something on my mind i was hoping would drop lol

Bought this Recipe off the auction house for 900g. A steal considering how much ive been able to make off selling these puppies. As a swordsmith there really isnt anything better than this sword if you are looking to make and sell swords. The mats required are inexpensive compared to Thorium Brotherhood weapons. These plans are also extremely rare and very few Swordsmiths will get their hands on this plan. Due to the rarity of Swordsmiths in general, and the rarity of these plans, the sword itself has a very high resale price. I spend around 1500-1700g making it myself, then i sell it for 2499, and they sell often too. Thats up to 1000g profit depending on the auction house prices. I have made well over 5000g selling this sword and i am very glad i spent all my money buying this recipe because it has been well worth it.

So it is infact worth it to make/sell the Sageblade

Edit 9/22/2023: Due to inflation it costs nearly 2000g just to make this sword
