Anyone know if this stacks with Flask of Mighty Restoration?

I assume it does stack, simply because flasks are seperate from all other potions (for example, onslaught elixir stacks with flask of remorseless assault). However, I've yet to test it. I'll try it next raid :)

I think the main problem with this potion is its relative high price (twice as much as a standard mageblood elixir) in comparison to its small increase (a 33% increase over a mageblood elixir) in mana regeneration. Therefore I'd recommend sticking to the lower level potion until netherbloom falls in price.

Just looking at this thing burns. Not only because I can't seem to find the recipe (damn world drops), but also because the pre-Burning Crusade equivalent Mageblood POTION was a potion, not an elixir. They decided to change it for whatever reason, so now us Potion Masters don't get any freebies when making these.

All pots / elixirs can proc from a mastery - even the lowest level ones. Not only that, naming ALWAYS takes a preference over the effect. Mageblood Potion fr example, procs from a potion mastery, and this from an elixir, regardless that their effect is very similar.

Is this considered to be better then Elixir of Empowerment (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=22926) for raid dps or is Empowerment just so rare that people doesnt really think about it?

Most raid-boss fights in Karazhan last at least 3 minutes or so, in 3 minutes, this elixir will give you a total of:
576 Mana

Compare this to the 30 Int from an Elixir of Draenic Wisdom, which will give you a total of 450 extra mana pool.

Boss-fights only get longer from there.

Keep in mind that many classes get extra healing/damage from the additional spirit/int from the wisdom elixir, but for pure-mana, Mp5 is king on long-fights.

Wonder why this recipie uses netherbloom when super mana pots use dreaming glory/fel weed. Super health pots use netherbloom. Strange on the part of blizz if you ask me. In fact, when you herb netherbloom you get a health buff, so........ what gives? Come to think of it, when you herb glory you get a health buff too wth? Im confused =(

Would this elixir be useful to a MM hunter? And when coupled with Aspect of the Viper, what kind of mana regen would we be talking about?

The best combo for elixirs on a healer is the way I see it to use this and comine it with the Elixir of healing power, blackened sporefish an manaoil. You will need this regen on higer bosses above the Kara/Gruul

Here's some mathcraft for you guys.

The following calculations are an effort to find out which would be a more desirable stat based on the length of combat (Intellect VS. Mp5)

Comparing Elixir of Major Mageblood to Elixir of Draenic Wisdom.

30 X 15 = 450
(This is to turn intellect into raw mana)

450 / 16 = 28.125
(It takes 28.125 ticks of 16Mp5 to equal 450 mana)

28.125 X 5 = 140.625
(This is converting the 28 different 5 second increments into 1 second increments)

140.625 / 60 = 2.343
(This is converting seconds into minutes)

Elixir of Draenic wisdom is more efficient for fights lasting less than 2 minutes and 20 seconds, and Mageblood is more efficient if the fight is longer than 2 minutes and 20 seconds :)

I didn't want to fiddle with the spirit on the Draenic wisdom elixir concerning how much Mp5 it would grant... But in general if the fight lasts longer than 2 minutes, Mageblood elixir should still be better than Draenic wisdom, even for you priests, druids, and mages out there ;-)

i would like to point out a new hot farming technique for you herbalists out there that i found with 2.1 patch

tired of not being able to get lichen? cant find it or none on AH?

Go to skettis (new area with 2.1, in terokar forest)

get a freind, preferabbly a dps class or if you are dps then get a healer.

group up and scan the area for the giant tree elite creatures, they are 71 elites they look scary but go down fairly easy.

Point of this? kill them, loot and then herb them for random high end herbs, including 4-5 motes of life...PER mob.

On average kills i got between 4 and 7! pieces of 1 herb, and 4-5 motes of life, per kill.

Herbs come in lichen, mana thistle, lots of dreaming glory, felweed, sometimes rare black lotus even. The great part is, they are hardly ever camped on my server, i just run around and kill them all day, from 2 days of doing this i got 2 stacks of lichen, 6 stacks of glory, 4 stacks of felweed, 2 black lotus, 4 stacks of mana thistle, and i am up to 17 primal lifes now...

Mageblood Potion learned from ZG rep is 12mana/per5. This is onl4 4 mana less than major mageblood but keep in mind that that 4 mana does add up and as time goes by the number of alchemists with the ZG rep high enough to get the other recipe will go down until you wont be able to find anyone to make it. An example of that is the enchant +15 agility to gloves, on one of the oldest servers it took me 2 weeks to find someone that could do it.

As a raiding hunter I use these and major agi as my pots. I find this combo better than a flask and I use oil too. This way Iv got a decent mana regen to go through the fight.
