i bought this nice wonderful axe in the auctions house for 50g and its awesome i crit like 400 on it then when the fireball proc comes in i can crit also on the fireball dmg for like 200 then it burns some dmg over time. got it on my paladin. its unstoppable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My veiw of the two 2-H'S:

- Corpse Maker is slower, giving more time to run around target. Its stats are very useful and has better DPS. Each attack is extremly powerful.

- Burning War Axe has a lower DPS, but it faster (a possible advantage.) Its DMG is less though, making each hit not as strong. It has no stats. Proc is almost useless, since it's so slow, but very powerful.

Plus, Burning War Axe is BoE and hard to find. In the AH prices are 20g - 100g, which is not worth your effort. Where as Corpse Maker is BoP from an instance, costing you nothing but a little time.

If your rich, and like the Proc take the Burning War Axe. But notify the Proc barely happens, there is less damage and this takes a lot of effort.

hey guys,
MY friend gave me this axe at 28, so i was a very happy shaman :) This is really good for pvp ive gotten over 2000 kills with this axe. Corpsemaker might be better but i dunno. I also chucked a fiery enchant in this so it does its normal damage, its chance on hit, its fiery enchant damage and a shaman enchant damage all in one hit (if im lucky). Im now level 32(this is my main) and i am doing over 600 damage with windfury. If it is around 10g it is a VERY good buy. I hope i have helped you all.

I bought this axe for my lvl 29 warrior for 20g and it has served him very well in battlegrounds. Worth every penny. The Damage is very good and the occasional fireball hitting 100 comes in very handy.However, I would say you should only buy this if you are planning on keeping your character at lvl 29 for the battlegrounds. If not and your a warrior the whirlwind axe, sword or mace(warrior quest rewards) at level 30 do much better damage and have 15 strength and 14 stamina...which has alot more potential in my oppinion.

This dropped on me while doing Gelkis Alliance in Desolace, alone. Took me about 40 minutes, killing the centaurs. Hope that helps.

I spent a whole day arranging for enoug cash to buy this. I spent over 2 hours trying to find out the cheapest possible price for a fiery, but still didn't haev the cash. I realized the slow speed would lower the proc rate of fiery, so I slapped on a +7 damage instead for 10 g. I do 150-185 once I stick rockbiter on, and have critted for over 250 on mobs my level. Just to add to that, it procs a ton for around 100 damage each time.

Was surfing through the AH to buy and resell. I see this for 70g B/O and i'm thinking it's a bit high. Then i see it has crusader and i bought it right away. Crusader goes for around 100g on my server. Then the axe usually sells for around 30g. 130g for something 70g. So i gave it to my friend 29 twinking a warrior.

Got this lovely axe from helping my buddy in SM. Found it in a chest and was thrilled since i am collecting some blue bits for a hunter alt. My friend also got some blue cloth leggings from the same run, in a chest too. So SM chests ftw!

bought it on ah with my tauren warr it was 12g buyout, but i did a bid of 4-5g, and i won! :D
it's my first horde char though, he's lvl 24 and haves 120g W00TTTTT!
just bought things from AH cheap and sold it for more, good way to make money ;)

Proc rate is absolutely horrid. Damage is nice, proc rate is very few and far between.

I got it yesterday while grinding 35 Elemental Slaves outside Dalaran, and it dropped, so I asked my guild how much it'd sell for... They said 10g at most. I compared prices, the lowest already was 19g, so I put it up for 14.5g. Just got the money today. :D And also its max damage + speed = sexy. I won't be starting warriors anytime soon so I decided not to keep it.

This axe is kind'a the "Fiery War Axe"'s littlebrother. Drops are random in lvl 30 - 40 mobs, just as the Fiery War Axe is a random 40 - 50 drop.

I got this axe at AH when I was level 28, for around 15g. I was so amazed with it's power! >_< I tried it out on some mobs and the damage was WTF? Bloody high. This axe rocks, a must get for warriors at low level. Pair it with Deep Wounds, Impale and Heroic Strike and I got 420 with a crit in gnomer. I'm 32 now and I'm still using it. It doesn't really proc a lot. The most beautiful attack it has ever executed with my warrior was in gnomer when I was mobbed by 2 Dark Iron Agents. I cleaved and got 2 critical hits with procs. In the end got mobbed and wipe out D= Anyway I would recommend it to all low level warriors. Other classes I'm not sure... You can try it out.

i have been doin war chest turn ins (well over 1600 stacks of silk so far), and have gotten 3 of them so far..all have sold for at least 25g. got third one tonite while watchin super bowl (go hawks).

Not as easy to find as i thought, i have been searching up and down the river starting in southshore going right threw Alterac mountains and into western plaguelands for around 3 hours now and still no Axe =(

It has dropped a total of 3 times for me across all my WoW characters.

1) Chest in Yeti Cave (Hillsbrad)
2) Bear (Hillsbrad)
3) Kurzen Jungle Fighter (Stranglethorn Vale)

It's a great axe, and seen it proc quite often. With a fiery enchant, sometimes it double-procced both with a crit... boom, mob dead. Was sad to let it go, but only dropped it after getting the Whirlwind.

I found one of this axes cheap in the AH so I got it, enchant it with a +3 damage and sold in 25g. Then I got two more and enchant with +2 damage and sold in 20g each.

I was farming in Strangleton and a player that I didn't know whisper me that he was very happy with the axe he got from me and that help him or her to get sargent rank, getting the 200HK he or she need, in one day.

I thanks him, or her.

So this is a great item. If you use two arms axe and want play WSG in 29, this is the one.

this rouge in my guild ally lvoe ya for this. She said want it and she gave it to me. I am a hunter yea. But i got a lvl 27 bleu crossbwo that day too lol. i look liek a twink. It procs but im rainsing axes for me to acutlly do some damage. Btu it procs pretty good even on the low lvls im killing. So its nice yea.

Had two of these drop off the trolls in northern STV in as many days. I finally had a winning day on the otherwise-sandpaper-enema that is the blizzard RNG.

Sort of...

The toon they dropped for cannot use axes, so one is going to a friend, the other the AH, where they're currently only fetching a few gold on my SoD realm. To that end blizzard never disappoints. All but one rare I've ever dropped in my 19 year WoW lifetime was unusable by the toon that dropped it.
