Getting this one ASAP

This one and Grand Marshal's Mageblade become pretty much as powerful as you can go without raiding for months on end

Total stats for both:

31 Stamina
24 Intellect
92 Spell damage

As of patch 2.0.1, this item now costs 22,500 Honor Points and 40 Arathi Basin Marks of Honor. And no longer requires Grand Marshal.

As I am sure most of you know that getting into a raiding guild can sometimes be difficult.

The new PVP system released with the 2.0.1 patch helps those that might normally not be able to get epics.

This item is a MUST for most casters out there.

The question has been asked how long would it take to get the required honor. The answer is not long at all. I mean sure you won't be able to get it in one or two nights, but if you look at how long one must raid to get the needed DKP, its a fair trade off.

The bonus is that you no longer have to concentrate your efforts on working on 39 other peoples schedule. PVP when you want to, aquire the much needed honor points and marks, and the item is yours.

Mind you some classes end up with more stamina than they might need, but come expansion time with the ramped up difficulty, even this can be a god send.

Bottom line, if you can't raid, pvp like crazy. Get those epics, this one is highly recommended, and if you play on a pvp server like I do, it will give you much needed practice.

I have the tomb of frost power, it has plus 9 intellect and 33 damage, the tomb of power boosts the stats of stamina and intellect yes...that's much better than the above stated off hand...I'd take the stamina and intellect stats over the 13 spell damage any day, you can make that up with a plus 30 spell enchant.

After the recent honor "nerf" it takes a bit longer to achieve Grand Marshal Weapons. However, it still is fun to do :)

Jesus.. people get so caught up in the " ITEM!" debate that they argue over things that arent even drops, and it would never be a question of who gets.

This is an obvious "me" item. And you probably can buy it once you reach GM at your local PVP vendor.
Just one question. Once you reach a GM rank, but lose the rank due to "lack of horde killing" the next week. Can you still buy GM items, or is one week the only window you get?

Unfortunately once you hit High Warlord or Grand Marshal, you have 1 WEEK to gather all the money you need to buy all the items you want/need. That said if you fall rank you need to get back to Grand Marshal /High Warlord to get this.

Lots of old Grand Marshals on my server are like WTF that isnt fair, and cant do anything but regrind honor.

ok first of all this is not a drop so it cannot be labeled as a "certain class" any caster with spells can use this and the best type of paladin is a paladin who uses spell damage..this is nonnegotiable because it is achieved through your OWN time and by your own self.

like i said its for anyone who wants it.

btw im a paladin and it would be perfect for all casters.. (GM shield for paladins is lame)

if we say that me fir an intance PVP alot (which i do) and become a GM but already a few months before has become exalted with AV... why would I take this instead for a Tome of Shadow Force (+8 stam +34 shadow dmg)
or Therazane's Touch (+33 spell dmg) would that be just for the few extra stats?

I absolutely don't care what the cost is. All I want is to do as much damage as possible. I would trade all of the extra int, spirit, and stam gear in the world for some plus spell damage or plus shadow damage in a heart beat and let me tell you why.
I am an affliction warlock. I drain health constantly and I use drain life more than shadowbolt. Destro locks think this is wierd and yes it is weird and it works. I survive doing heavy dps not only by multiple instant dots but by draining life. I still output the same amount of damage when being interrupted and heal my self as well. If I run out of mana I use dark pact with my imp who regenerates all his mana in less than a minute. So if I have such a high "heal" rate from draining and such a high mana efficiency from my pet, why do I need more intellect stamina and spirit? I can heal myself faster than other can damage me with increased shadow damage, I barely run out of mana with my imp out, and I don't need spirit if I am doing well in both departments.
So this is why someone can be logical and say "Hey the stats are much lower overall but the fact that it fits my character better I am going to use it instead," and not sound "drunk" as you say.
Think of it this way. Your health has a maximum limit. You can the maximum limit go up or you can drain more health back when you need it. Which would you choose? Now remember this isn't a good option for everyone, only those with effective drain abilities and high mana efficiency possibly from dark pact and an imp. THIS IS A NEW WAY TO PLAY THAT I HAVE PERFECTED! This is not what your typical sm/ruin warlocks do. No other class can do this as effective as a warlock and even so as effective as after this most recent patch with the 41 point talents.
Try it out warlocks. Focus on damage gear more than anything if you have the talents to support it. Be logical about it though, don't pass up purple level 60 gear for green 45 gear. Compare your items on an even level and I promise you will be satisfied.
Oh, and nerf everyone but warlocks because we are the ones that everyone wants nerfed, and it would just make me tickle inside.

what are you going to do if yu get silenced or counterspelled while using drain life and gettting nuked down when you can't cast spells... and with low hp that'll be easymode!

This item is great, but, for casters it is not as good as the GM War Staff.

Even if you combine this item with the GM Spellblade (pvp dagger) you don't get stats that measure up to the staff. Given that the Tome + Spellblade cost the same honor as the GM staff it doesn't make sense to get this item.

It's really a shame...you would think getting two cool items would be more powerful than just one.

Is it just me or does the lack of damage / crit on this offahnd make it not even compareable to the aq20 or nef offhands, hell I would even use the av offhands before I used this.
