This invitation allows you to grab various items at the party area. All the items are on the tables, and respawn very quickly, so you can take as many as you want.

at the moment, if you destroy this invitation you can not get another. and since it doesn't go in your keyring, even though it serves as the key for the various items at the party, i destroyed it because why waste a bank slot on this sort of thing...

anyways, I was thinking you would be able to talk to the guy who gave you the invitation and he'd give you another one, but alas he does not currently. so hang onto the invitation if you feel like stopping by the party again.

All items were soulbound. When I did the quest on April 1, 2008, you could get as much meat as you want. This is awesome for us hunters who have a meat eating pet. You could get as much drink as you want but it has no real benefits (get you drunk). You can only get 5 Bloodthistle Petals at a time. If you use them you can go back for more. You might get a jonesing for some (hint hint).

Also, you can't sell the items, so getting rich out of it is out of the question.

This item lets you pick up Bloodthistle Petals , Springpaw Appetizers and Suntouched Special Reserve (which just HAPPEN to be what you bought, except consumable) from the tables dotting Saltherethil's Haven. Also, the party-goers will react differently to you.

A pretty good quest for beginning Blood Elves, and infinite free food and alcohol, as well as a free damage+healing buff.

I was able to use mine on my weapon. i had to put it back in one of my bags to get it to work, though, so maybe you could try that...

Just having the invitation in your inventory causes the changes mentioned in the previous posts. You don't have to "use" it like other items marked "use."

What no one has said is HOW you "use" the invitation. It can be used in 2 ways.

First, being in possession of the invitation will cause your cursor to turn into the action wheel when your cursor is pointing at the food/drinks/bowls on the table at the party, allowing you to loot it.

Or, you can select the invitation in your inventory which will put the gray glow around your hand-cursor. The glow only turns blue (signifying a possible action) when you point at the food/drinks/bowls on the tables at the party, likewise allowing you to loot these items off the tables.

To clarify a previous post, the invitation cannot be used on your weapon (or armor), but the hand cursor will turn blue whenever you hover over your character's window. This is likely a minor glitch as no action is actually possible.

Part of a short chain.

Magistrix Landrs Dawnstrider (Fairbreze Village) sends you to talk to him (at his retreat)and he sends you on a quest to acquire three items from three different vendors.

Then you get the invite.

Seems useless. Only suntouched special reserve seems to be there. Free Booze? Eh...

Oh and The Blood Elf's at the party seem a little less arrogant...a little.

Also note:

The 10 minute Bloodthistle Petal buffs you receive here will give you a 20 minute debuff of -5 Spirit once the 10 mins are up... You go through Bloodthistle withdrawl, lol.

If your a cheapass (like me) go around with 3 stacks of these for your pet. Takes many of these to make it happy but hey its free :D

haha! Well, dispite its cheeiness, this is a GREAT thing to have as a lower level... not only is it free food, and spirits, and also, a nifty blood elf buff item, but its great to stock up your bank with food with, OR sell tons at a time when your cashflow is low.
all together, better than ANY quest rewards for lower levels on alliance...

because this never wears off.

Well. I take that back.
I spent about ten minutes gathering all the party goods I could get my greedy little hands on...
and then discovered I couldn't sell any of it.
I then went through my entire stock of alcohol.

This is one of those items you'd like to get rid of (once you're done mooching stuff at the party), but you know you'll probably keep it forever.
