I just had this axe made for me and it is definitely worth it. The only thing I'm sad about is the hit to my health bar (no stamina on the weapon). Otherwise, it's golden. Slap a +70 AP enchantment on it and you're good to go.

If a Warrior with a weapon speed of 3.80, but DPS of 95 and a Warrior with a Weapon speed of 3.20 but a DPS of 105 where to nuke the same mob, the Warrior with the 3.20, 105 DPS weapon would win.

But, because the fact that Warrior's don't acctually get to hit their enemies much in 'PVP', they would prefer a slow weapon for maximum burst damage.

In PVE however, when a Warrior is constantly hitting a target, it doesn't really matter what speed the weapon is. Just what DPS the weapon has.

This axe lacks Stamina, and speed for it to be viable in a PVP situation, this is more of a PVE DPS weapon.

it makes a diference when INSTA atacks comes in the equation.. for arms warrior no mater the dps, the DAMAGE range is what its important... or a Shami.. where the only important dmg comes when you get a WF, or jsut swinging StormStrike.. no mater the weapon speed, you gona get a SS each 10 sec.. and the WF of a slower weapon can DESTROY a clothi

MATH FOR INSTANT ATTACKS

Seems like a lot of people still don't understand.

The instant attack equation has 2 halves. The first half is the weapons damage which is somewhere near 370 for this weapon. You might notice that you hit a lot harder than 370 with a 2-hander though? How can this be? Oh yeah, attack power. Attack power is the part that got normalized to speed. So a slow weapon still has a better base damage, but what Tyyriym was talking about is that attack power no longer gets a speed mulitplier because all 2-handers are normalized to 3.3 speed.

If you have 2000 attack power (buffed) and you have a 108 DPS weapon then...

***3.2 speed - 816 damage*** - you get 471 damage from attack power and 345 from weapon damage

***3.4 speed - 838 damage*** - you get 471 damage from attack power and 367 from weapon damage

***3.6 speed - 859 damage*** - you get 471 damage from attack power and 388 from weapon damage

***3.8 speed - 881 damage*** - you get 471 damage from attack power and 410 from weapon damage

Really can't make up my mind if should level blacksmithing to get one of those weapons (lunar crescent, thunder etc) or this one.

I'm not planning to go prot so i won't do enough heroics to upgrade my weapon probably.

Anyone who can help me make up my mind? :)

I would say now its not worth crafting. Your best leveling Blacksmithing, gettting ina raid guild, or soend afew weeks to get the Gladiator 2h of your choice

yes... bop blacksmithing weapons are better ,cheaper and u can make them urself ofc....on m ywarrior i dont have blacksmithing so... i cant make me and im looking for a blacksmither that can make this yet... i cant find a ny1 (Ahn Quiraj(server) Sibban(character)) if some1 know any1 that can craft this weapon pls add a comment here or /w me in-game.

Got it last night, the mats are really not that hard to get. If you are a miner like me, you can get primal fires and earths by farming fel iron in Hellfire Penn (and, ofc the ore -> bars) and buy the rest with the money you gain by selling the fel iron and the Eternium ore of you are luck enough to get more then is needed for the axe itself.

If not, you can always farm tons of water motes on the water part of the plateau, that's of course if the opposing faction is not there and looking to pick a fight. Mana is easy enough to get in Netherstorm and the only type really tricky is air, as mote of air semes to have a slightly lower drop rate then it's water/fire/mana counterparts.

I'm a MM hunter and was looking at getting 2 Felsteel Longblades (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=23540) and a guildy whom i respect ALOT suggested that I get this instead....

considering no agi or stam on this as compared to the blades, I am concerned and unsure...I RARELY melee....so I only want the best overall stats...so melee dps doesnt really matter to me...ranged ftw :)

So which is better, this axe, or 2x the felsteel longblades..?? If one of you number crunching guru's can run the numbers...i'd greatly appreciate it!!

I had this crafted for my MM hunter and I am very happy with it. The only disappointing thing about this axe is the nonexistant stamina. However, the AP you gain from this, plus the 35 agi enchant you can slap on makes it a great choice for a non BS and if you are not able to raid often.

The mats are very easy to farm, took me approximately 3 days to farm, and I bought the bars on the ah which came to around 170? gold. Not too bad imo.

IMO this is still really nice for a hunter..but hunters only get this if you do nothing (raid,pvp) and still want decent gear this is yer axe....but i had this axe from right when i was 70 ever since i went past gruul....then i got the s3 axe...if you would rather get gladiator armor instead of the axe..go for it and get this axe its quite good

A little nub that one poster was that asked what set this is. Ofc its tier 6 and obviously its a little kid lookin for gear he will never get. Anyway, I was wondering if its worth me as a raid bound MS warr to go for the Glad Decapitator, or to save mats/buy this badboy. The AP and slight crit on this wep is very attractive and DPS is quite nice for what I need.

Hi there, I was just wondering which of these three weapons is best for an arms warrior cause they all got the same skill req and same mats.

Khorium Champion has a nice hitrating and procs very often (that's what I've heard), 50 str = 100 AP is nice to. BUT it does not have any stamina and that is important to me.

Fel Hardened Maul has both, much stamina and strength and the mace-arms build is nice. This is the weapon Im into the most.

Felsteel Reaper dosen't have any stamina on it neather but it got nice AP, but it's just 6 more AP than Fel hardened Maul and 0.4% more crit chance.

Please right me if Im wrong but please don't do it in a bad way with naugthy comments =). Tell me what you think! Btw I got all mats just, I just can't choose. PEEEACE

This ax is not bad not the harest hitting but if your not a weapon smith it's worth getting im a MS warrior i have 1 with mongoose and i have a 40crit% it's not bad but if you can be a Axe smith than get a mooncleaver <Hk, Kargath>

got this on my hunter because kara hates me and legacy will never drop. beginning to believe dorthy really did find her way home -_-

anywho, i have a hybrid spec of marks/surv (043/18), and try to go for as much crit/AP and stam/int gear as i can get, esp with the points in careful aim. this axe is great for me and any hunter who do more than one thing (i.e. raid/pvp/farm/dance naked in IF)since i use mostly what would be considered enhancement shaman gear.

as is, with just a few kara pieces, some heroics items, and the mecriless shoulders im sitting at about 8.5k HP 27% crit, 2200 AP (self buffed) and a little under 7k mana unbuffed. it allows me to get the damage i need when needed, and still be able to kite and keep alive in arenas as needed. (having deterrence, silencing shot and imp HP/traps is amazingly helpful btw). plus it doesnt hurt when you go against a mage charging pyroblast at you and you hit them for almost 1500 white damage with an 1800 raptor strike crit

i farmed as many mats as i could for not being a miner, which took about 2 days of maybe 5-6 hour intervals. bought teh bars from a guily for abotu 1/2 the AH price and got the nethers for about 75g each (lucked out) grand total with farming cost me maybe........300? 400?

im usually fury but i respec arms for arenas and thats when i use this... even though my gear is all still fury gear with tons of +hit
but its good if ur a ms warrior looking for a pretty good epic 2hander for arenas and if ur not a bser

Just got mine made today and enchanted with Savagery and it looks awesome, paid 100g per nether and tipped 15g. I struggled to get this or the Fel Hardened Maul, I chose this because 3.30 speed for mace stun proc is very low which was nerfed in 2.3 patch (read PTR patch notes) and if I wanted a good stunning mace I'd go for Thunder and Deep Thunder (didn't cause I'm an armorsmith).

As a 375 BS, I must put this out there. This, along with many other items are basically dead due to the "Honor Welfare System" for Gladiator's gear.

Compare this with the Gladiator's Decapitator and you will see what I mean. Even if you can't stand PVP you can pony up one hard bonus weekend of AV (which is the most PVE of the BGs...)and end up with something much better.

These, along with the Ragesteel armor sets are basically worthless unless you run into someone who can't stand PVP. Ragesteel needs to be dropped to 65-67 to even make it sellable on Sentinels server.

There is no need for wpns any more since every one can get gladitor in 1 day of grinding.
Only good there is now is tanking gear otherwise gladtiator works good as healing and dps gear when u are starting kara.

I'm a 375 BS and since I hate PVP, I think this is a great axe.

Everything can be sold relative to an AH because of availability. People ready crappy comments on this board and decide not to make it. People can never buy them if you don't MAKE them... It's a never-ending carousel and the AH is the one that suffers.

The main problem with selling something like this is the mats to make it. If you try to buy the mats individually and then sell it, you'll probably be asking too much. (But you never know until you try!)

I bought these plans (because I can make it) and since I hate PVP, I'll have it a long time. I also have an alt toon that is a master transmuter so I can make or collect all the mats for this (except the nether and that I can buy for 100-135g per on my server). So for the price of plans and the nether, I'll have an upgrade over what I'm carrying. I'll make another and see how it sells. If it doesn't sell, I will not make any more. I think it will because YOU NEVER SEE THEM UP FOR SALE. And since I can make or gather the majority of the mats, I'll will not be charging the big cheddar for it. (I'll try at first, but I'll be content with making back what my time is worth.)

Everything's price is what people are willing to pay. I'm sure there are others out there who would like to have this axe as well or maybe I'm the only person who has never done PVP... Oh well, killed enough people in real life in the military to want to kill video people... Call me crazy...
