I've never used them in PvP but I know it can be a life saver if you pull too many mobs and need to run. AOE stun for the win.

Easy to level up engineering. Nice for interrupting casting, too.

awesome for lvl 39 twinks w 300 engineering to use.... Also if you are able to make it from Shat to Thrallmar with your lvl 39 300 engineer(corpse crawl, warlock summon, escort) you can train to make elemental blasting powder, fel iron bolts, and fel iron casings (fel iron bomb components)as well as the bomb itself. (you can't however level past 300 until you hit lvl 50). thott's skill level of 320 for this item is incorrect, it only requires 300 engineering to make these. Or maybe the 320 is where it stops giving you points if you have master trained. All I know is that my lvl 39 warlock can make these now woot!

These things are incredibly useful. Great damage, the stun comes in handy as well.

Anyone know what the "casting" time is for these - how long it takes to drop one?

cant use them while youre running but you dont even need to be moving when you LOS ten mobs around a corner
