Even with full raid buffs, and the buff to meditiation, your still only going to get around +3 healing and just under 2mp5.

at +16 spirit your going to get ~6 healing and 3mp5.

This is with the 2.3 meditation change.

If you really want spirit, go for the +9/+4 spirit gems.

on bc day1, i started my jewelcrafter paladin.

since then, i was not asked for this gem *a single time*.

8 spirit on a gem aint all that... unless u are a priest with the Primal Mooncloth set and alot of spirit on other gear... then u would get 5/1 mp5 instead of 3/3 with the Lustrous Star of Elune gem. But one good thing about the spirit gem is that u also get a little more +healing from them.
So my advice would be to cut the 3mp5 gem if ur doing dungeons... and depending on ur playstyle and gear.... consider this one instead.

i see loads of these on AH for 30g+ and the 2 mp5 azure moonstones are generaly about 2.5g does anyone actualy buy these?

As well as priests get +healing from spirit. All healers aint paladins and heal constantly :) (spirit > mp5 while not casting xD)
