As an affliction lock, i have to say, this is one of the best rings you can have.
I just get a jewelcrafter friend and farmed the mobs for the BoP recipe; we got it in 5 minutes.

Indeed, this ring is great for a Shadow priest or Affliciton Lock (in fact, it is the best blue for people of those specs).

Only epic rings can beat the dps power of this ring (which makes sense).

Very nice ring for Shadow Priest or a Lock.
I would advise pairing it with a Band of the Gaurdian. They will complement eachother well.

Seer's Signet (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=29126) is also a relatively easy to acquire ring on par (for +dmg) with Band of the Exorcist (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28553).

Only difference is Exorcist has +11 resilience, +4 crit but -2 to hit in comparison.

For raiding i'd take Ashyen's (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=29172) for the extra +21 to hit and +6 sta (but only if I haven't already reached the magical +16% to hit already, coz it's -11 dmg compared to the 2 rings above)

this ring is kind of ok..but there are many better ring you can get like this for example https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=32774 which you can wear at an earlier level and it costs less matts than khorium band......

I like this ring and I hope I can make 2 and wear them at the same time. It doesn't say unique yet but it is probably because there are so many updates thottbot can't keep up. It stinks that all of the new info posted is so limited that you can't take all the info as a fact.

It has been said that the pattern drops from Dark Conclave Shadowmancers in Shadowmoon Valley. I have not personally seen this drop, but that is what I have heard from various players.

It sure does drop outside of an instance. Got mine off of a Dark Conclave Shadowmancer while I was looking for the named around there. Being a warlock Jewelcrafter, I was a bit excited :P. If you're on Whisperwind and want one, contact me on Alliance side.

I stand corrected. I think I may go farm this design in the next day or so. Any locks or even Shadow Priests out there who can say how this compares to other dungeon dropped rings etc? If it is somewhat weak, I may not farm too heavy for it.

Yes it drops at around 37.30 from Dark Conclave Shadomancers. Dropped for me after 10-20 kills. It's a BOP recipie so it only concerns jewlcrafter's. The ring is also unique equipped.

Well, be prepared to spend some time. I farmed this area (with a kind Mage named Dragonseye) for 3 hours and 45 minutes to no avail. I can't begin to tell you the stats of the mobs we killed - in fact if I had kept track I think I would have cried . . .

As usual, the people who get this on the 5th mob are in the right place at the right time. Its like a slot machine, you could spend . . .3 hours and 45 minutes playing and not hit anything, and then someone else steps up for 5 minutes and wins big.

Anyway, I may go back there when I actually have some quests to kill those undead bird people and birds, but I am a little burnt out at the moment.

40,30 off a Dark Conclave Shadowmancer, Shadowmoon Valley.

I killed about 6 of em and it dropped. Guess I got lucky!

other than cutting blue gems, it's a fairly cheep way to get to 370, where most of the good trinkets are.

on my server (Dark Iron) I've sold several of these for well above mats cost,

for around 25g mats, I've been selling them in trade or the AH, for 35-50g each

the cost of mats are definitly going up in price since 2.1, due to the primal shadows nerf, but it's still cheaper than the other options, costing 1 less mecurial adamantite.

thank you to the guys who said they could make it, who have posted their name,server and FACTION, really annoying when people dont say what side they are on (horde/alliance)

anyway, im trying to get the mats for this baby on my warlock, just a bit low on cash at the mo :(

deff. a ring worth farming the recipe for if your a JC imo

edit: just got the mats, quite cheap :o all tho primal shadows on my server are 15g+ each :( (thankfully i had 4 in bank wasting away lol)
