If you are 41 Frost, this is an excellent ring, and hard to beat the stats on this.

Not a very good ring anymore with all the alternatives out there.

the stamina is great if you're going to PvP, but you'd want just +spelldmg, because even if your frost, a large portion of your damage will come from fireblast.

and regen in mp5 isn't very good for PvE or PvP as a mage.

I suggest saving your mats and going for other rings.

Importantly, the materials can be gathered without having to dirty your hands in a fight or spend any money at the auction house. The primal waters can be fished in Nagrand and elsewhere as motes, the primal earths, adamantite and khorium can all be mined without much trouble.

So if you're lucky enough to get the recipe, this is a good way to skill up jewelcrafting while making something genuinely useful. Plus, you should have a ton of gems left over from all the prospecting. A bit of a win double, frankly.

It is really not that good in comparison to other quested and blue drop BC rings, considering the cost of mats. I would think that these would be hard to sell, especially as the damage effects are limited to frost; if it had spell hit or crit then maybe it would be more appealing. As a frost mage myself I wouldn't give up my Evoker's Mark of Redemption (quested Evoker's Mark of the Redemption or Band of the Guardian (quested Band of the Guardian for it, even with the enhanced stamina.

I checked "that other site" and it lists this design dropping in the SteamVault from Coilfang Sorceress. .25% drop is what it lists so far...

i have run Steamvaults a total of 3 times, and this pattern dropped for me on the 3rd run... from one of the 'Water Serpent/Dragon'-looking type trash mobs. A previous post from above also states that this pattern dropped for them in this dungeon.

if you want this pattern... my sugestion would be to keep grabbing PUGs and grind the Steamvaults!
