These kits are decent little money makers. They sell for 9-10G. In a weekend you can sell close to 20. Even buying the mats on the AH can yield a profit. The 300 skill requirement only requires level 35. It’s a great placeholder enchant until you can find a better one.

Don't try to use this if you character is less than Level 60!

The descriptive text stating "Requires Level 50" is wrong. It should read "Requires Level 60" instead. How could a Level 50 character have a Level 55 piece of armor.

This problem exists for:

o Knothide Armor Kit (should be Requires Level 60 instead of 50)

o Magister's Armor Kit (should be Requires Level 65 instead of 55)

o Vindicator's Armor Kit (should be Requires Level 65 instead of 55)

If your tanking or just need the extra stamina, 4 of these kits will increase your stamina by 32.

This is probably the only way to "enchant" +stamina on gloves.

I cannot find any other decent enchant or armor kit for my tanking gloves, so I'll probably go with this.

The point that everyone seems to be missing here is that this is a *cheap* way to get a little extra hp.

That makes it valuable for levelling characters, not for twinks or for end-game purposes. If you have skinning you'll notice that 4 knothide leathers are easy to come by (or 20 knothide scraps) and you'll likely be happy to trade them for +8 stamina on some piece of armor which you'll keep for a few more levels.

A cheap alternative to give yourself some extra stamina. I bought 3 of these today for 3.5g a piece and I am quite satisfied with my purchase.

I couldn't apply one of these to my Sapphiron's Scale Boots (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=13070), character level 53. wtf?

That is incorrect. The required level means the level required to apply the item. If it says "requires lvl 35 item or above" then that means item lvl, but just "requires lvl 60" means you have to be lvl 60 to apply it.

For Example, the Clefthide, Cobrahide, and Spell thread require lvl 60. So, take a lvl 60 or higher character, buy a twink item off the AH, apply it, and mail it to your twink for that enchant on a twinks items. I put the Clefthide armor on a pair of BoE blue legs (Troll's Bane)for my rogue and used them to lvl. Same thing applies to these armor kits.

Not true, I have Pieces of the dreadmist set and lots of blues from BRD and I can't apply it to any of that stuff.

These kits are more restrictive then the clefthide kits. The toon applying the enchant must be 60+ , AND the item must be 55 or above. This makes these kits worthless for twinking unless you are going for the 50-59 bracket.
That being said they are still a nice cheap way to get some extra health for the 60-70 grind, especially since armor gets replaced quickly as you level.

Actually, only the AdeptPaladin post is correct, all others are wrong. I just tested it on 2 items and results are:

Archaeologist's Quarry Boots with no level requirement, but having an item level of 55 can be upgraded with kit.
Kilt of the Atal'ai Prophet have item level of 55, however it also have a required level of 50, using kits on these results in "Target is too low level".

Testing was done on a level53 character. It means that:

Character must be level 50 or higher to apply kit.
Require Level on item must be 55 or higher OR
If there is no "Require Level", the Item Level must be 55 or higher.

Have to agree, this is pretty !@#$ing sweet. Taken into account that so far we havent even been able to put stamina on gloves, now you can have another 8 stamina on hands, sweet deal, also, these knothide sets are pretty cheep on the AH.

Here's a good way for all you leatherworkers out there to make some money...if you don't do it already that is.
Take a trip to your local auction house and buy up stacks of Knothide leather scraps...usually selling for 90S to 1G on my server....convert the stack into knothide leather = 4 and then convert said Knothide leather into 1 Knothide armor kit...and hey presto you've just turned 1G into approx. 4G!

You can do the same except make Heavy Knothide Leather instead though it's usually not as profitable as you will need 5 pieces of Knothide to make one heavy knothide...i suppose it depends which is selling for the better money on your AH at the time.

One final tip to all you leatherworkers out there...STOP SELLING STUFF SO DAMN CHEAP!
For some reason on my server someone comes along and starts selling knothide armor kits and heavy knothide leather for under 2G each....why would you do this?
It must have cost you considerable time and money to progress your skill to this level so why sell yourself short?...I know for a fact enchanters don't!
If you must undercut prices please be sensible and do it by a few silver and not a few gold...I'm sure we will all want an epic flying mount come level 70 and that aint cheap....THINK ABOUT IT!

I have to admit, this is pretty freakin sweet. I know there are enchants that give more than 8sta, but for the money, and for the ease, this is awesome. Now i dont need to spam /2 anymore... LF 300 Enchanter to take all my money...

It says "Only usable on items level 55 and above.", but it seems that it needs "required level 55+" (as opposed to item level)? Because I can't seem to equip it to my Stormshroud Armor (iLvl 57, reqLvl 52)...

Well, the fact that demons roam the lands & people can shoot bolts of frost from their hands and what once was a steak dinner can now walk upright & smash you on the head with a mace...

I'm not overly worried how much sense an armor kit that gives you a health boost makes.

8 stamina to head slot is from the Libram of Voracity.When you go to claim your Arcanum after collecting all the mats, you get the choice of an 8 agility, stamina, spirit, strength or intellect to head or legs Arcanum, which you can then use too enchant your or someone elses head/leg slot.

I am not sure and are to lazy to try out ... Can this armor kit stack with enchant on chest? Can I have bot 150 and 8 sta on it? It sais nothing about that in the kit description, does it?

Don't be fooled by the description, "Works on item levels 55 and above" This will not work for instance say you have a level 51 leg item but its item level is 56. This does not work. The actual item must be 55 or higher. Just to clear things up

Clefthide Leg Armor is possible to put on a lvl29 item, or lvl19 item, as long as the items isnt soulbound and a lvl60+ attaches it. And that makes it desirable for twinks. The tooltip on those says "Requires Level 60".

The tooltip on these says "Requires Level 50", but it also says "Only usable on items level 55 and above". This means that you cant use this thing before you hit lvl50. lvl50 non-soulbound green items are item lvl55. If you get some gloves at lvl49 on a quest, they're already soulbound, and hence you cant apply them yourself, or give them to another player to do it for you. You have to wait until you hit lvl50.

To summarize;
-This can be applied to quest items(has no lvl requirements) at lvl50, as long as the item lvl is 55 or above.
-If you have a quest item lvl55 or above at lvl49, you cant use this kit on it until you hit lvl50.
-If the item requires lvl53, and is item lvl58, for some buggy reason you cant apply this kit.
-Level requirements trumphs item level. But if it has no level requirements, item lvl 55 is enough.

I just though I should point that out, since no one else gathered all the facts. :) Happy twinking. :)

..the fact is blizzard, this kit is bugged. It should work on all item lvl55 or above.

For some reason, this can be used on Oilskin Leggings, Seared mail vest and protector ankleguards (all of them with an item level WAY below lvl 55)

I guess the item lvl req is messed up.
